The perfect romantic escape. A bespoke tiny house nestled under the gum trees overlooking a country cottage style garden. With kitchenette + own bathroom + loft style bed, it has everything you need for a special night away.
Including a fire pit + outdoor dining space, along with wood heater inside it's perfect for all seasons. Breakfast of hand gathered eggs, bread, milk supplied for Fri - Sun stays. Loft bed is up a ladder. We do have peacocks, dogs, mini goats, + poultry on the property.
The space
With a loft bed, complete with french linen and up a ladder (must be able bodied for access into the bed space and also mindful this is a LOFT so not suited to people who don't enjoy smaller spaces) and carefully curated living space, you'll enjoy the privacy and coziness of our tiny home that overlooks our country cottage gardens. It is a very tiny tiny home at only 10m2 and the loft, but it features stone bench tops and handmade tiles, lime washed walls and a wood fire heater for that special country touch.
Handmade pottery pieces and all expected utensils; it has everything you need for a self catered breakfast and if you choose to bring your own food for other meals to cook. We provide farm fresh hand collected eggs from our chooks and fresh bread on Friday Saturday and Sunday stays. Not mid week. But full cream milk along with tea and coffee is supplied also. It is situated between both Kyneton, Malmsbury and Daylesford for fine dining experiences.
PLEASE NOTE: It does not have access to wifi and you will have limited or possibly no phone signal (we can assist in emergencies with a satellite landline) so you can unplug and indulge in some self care. Please do not ask us when checking in for this. We only have satellite and it does not reach the tiny house. We have highlighted this after many guests have not read this or ignored this. This is an unplugged stay as hard as it may be to believe that Australia still lacks signal in some areas.
With beautiful reading material, board games, the fire pit outside and the gardens to enjoy there is plenty to do, or do nothing at all. Our homestead is in view but a hedge is planted hoping to grow enough to block this out. We will respect your privacy as we expect you will do ours. The entire front of the property is available for you to enjoy (half an acre) and all private areas unopened to guests have fences and gates. Do not enter any gated areas without permission. The goats are out the front too and you may see us feeding them which you’re welcome to join us too if you’d like but we ask you do not enter their pen without supervision. Please also do not feed the goats your food. We also require guests to park in the allocated guest parking spot. It is just inside the gate and immediately to the left. If you park down at the main house your car may be scratched by the peacock and after guests have chosen not to park where instructed we won’t be held accountable for any damages if this occurs. It is also seasonally muddy in the area which is avoided if parking in the allocated space. We do have a peacock, Kevin, he may say hello. He often comes to the tiny house deck for treats. We also have working dogs (border collies), the mini goats, chooks, children and many wildlife at the property so please just be mindful of this on driving into the parking and drive slowly.
Guest access
Situated on one acre in the Macedon Ranges, the property is on a secluded dirt road. We have a farmstall out the front and a private carpark for guests staying in the tiny house. Keys to the tiny home are in the lockbox by the door and the code will be sent to you before you arrive for your stay. Guests must park in allocated guest spot to avoid peacock walking on and scratching your car. Please do not park down near the main house.
Other things to note
We are a working micro cut flower farm and vegetable farm and do live at the property. We have children and dogs, miniature goats, a peacock, a parrot and poultry who you may hear whilst enjoying our outdoor areas. Whilst they do their best to be quieter when guests stay this is also still their home and the kids especially may be heard playing outside particularly in warmer months during the day. We will be mindful into the evenings and late afternoons but encourage our kids to play outdoors. Please consider we do live rurally and have no wifi or mobile signal. This stay will not be for you if you are after technology and constant access to your phone service. You must be able to climb a ladder and sleep in a loft space and if small spaces make you uncomfortable our tiny home may not be for you. It is 10m2 so likely the smallest tiny house you’ll ever see. There are kangaroos, snakes, wombats, echidnas, many birds, and other wildlife around. Please be considerate that this is a property that is encouraging of wildlife and whilst we can move some animals along we prefer guests are aware they may be present. We are also located near working cattle farms and this along with our own working dogs is the reason for strictly NO pets. No smoking is allowed in the tiny home and given the bushfire potential we'd prefer not at the property at all. We can assist with help lighting the fire pit and wood heater if required and are available should you require assistance or need access to a phone in emergencies.
