The Fusion Home is a modern, eco-friendly treetop home located within the Finca Bellavista Community in Costa Rica's wild and beautiful Southern Zone. Intentionally designed as an off-grid sanctuary to allow guests the opportunity to be immersed in the rainforest without sacrificing amenities or comfort, this is an ideal space for adventurers, nature lovers, and those interested in off-grid living.

The space
The home offers a 2 night minimum rental option for up to 4 people. There are no onsite staff or services and this is an off-grid destination - please prepare accordingly.

Guests may at times be the only people onsite. The experience is best for independent nature lovers who enjoy isolation. Visitors to the property will need to sign a digital online liability wavier before arriving. It is recommended to have your own 4x4 vehicle to park at the community car park - roughly a 20 min hike from the home.

In addition, and very importantly - please review the entire listing carefully (including the House Rules) to help you determine if you will be a good match to stay at our home. Staying at The Fusion Home is an amazing experience, but it's not for everyone! Don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions about what to expect that are not answered in the listing.

As a guest of The Fusion Home you will have access to the hiking trails and swimming holes around the property, and are free to explore at your leisure throughout your stay (you and your party will need to sign a liability waiver). This is a fantastic place to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself while still having access to modern conveniences and comforts.

The Fusion Home features:

-Spacious balconies with panoramic rainforest views of the Osa Peninsula and Piedras Blancas National Park. The upper balcony (the "SkyLounge") has a hammock and sofa. It's also the best place to enjoy a jungle sunset or watch the rain fall.

-Memory foam mattresses, quality sheets and bedding, and energy efficient ceiling fans for comfortable sleeps.

-A full kitchen made of locally-sourced teak, equipped with a large fridge, stainless steel farmhouse sink, gas stove top, and oven. Coffee, tea, cooking oil, salt, pepper, and some spices are included for your use.

-Indoor living room with large wrap-around sofa.

-Rainwater plunge pool and lounge chairs overlooking the gardens.

-Tasteful and cozy tropical/bohemian decor to make you feel right at home

-Binoculars and a bird guide book are available for your use. You will wake up naturally to a symphony of birdsong. We have identified over 50 species of birds from the balconies!

-Organic gardens and fruit trees. Little by little, we are working towards creating a small "food forest" on our property and producing as much of the food we consume as possible. We're still beginners, and we can't guarantee what will be growing during your stay, however you are more than welcome to pick fresh ingredients when available!

***IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS / PLEASE READ***

-A river needs to be crossed on foot to reach the home. At times, this river may be too high to cross in heavy rains. Please contact the caretaker at basecamp (Finca Bellavista) in order to use the bridge (it is private property).

-Finca Bellavista is an off-grid pedestrian community located in the rainforest - as such, our home is accessible via hiking. On average, it takes us 15-20 minutes to hike to the home from the parking area. The access trail is a steep, uphill road made of loose rock and gravel. The hiking time depends on your physical fitness level and the amount of gear you are carrying. Pack lightly and bring comfortable hiking boots.

-check in for your arrival day is strictly 5pm given that it is dangerous to cross the river and hike to the home in the dark for your first time.

-Due to the access and remote location, we do not recommend staying at our place if you have serious health concerns or do not consider yourself in good physical condition (or if you don't like hiking / aren't willing to embrace the hiking as part of the adventure!)

-A 4x4 vehicle is required for the last 3km from the main road to the parking area

-You will have the entire main house to yourself. Once you have been escorted and had a tour of the home, you will be left to enjoy.

-The home is built on stilts (above ground level), is surrounded by trees, and offers an integral experience with the canopy and surrounding rainforest. However, there are no trees incorporated in the physical structure of the home.

Other things to note
Please plan accordingly for your visit based on all of the information provided in the listing. Aside from that, the best advice we can give visitors is to come with as few expectations as possible and let the jungle work its magic!
