Our little hotel style room is designed to leave a big impact on you with its character and attention to detail, charm and style. It also has its own little private courtyard.

It's a true haven for those seeking a unique and alluring experience. We purposesly aimed to transport our guests on a journey like no other by creating a dark and sensual escape that would stand out from the crowd. To achieve this, we drew inspiration from the Moroccan Zellige tiles and hand-painted gold motif tiles commissioned in Paris which make up the show-stopping centrepiece of the room.
The black Zellige tiles from Morocco beautifully complemented the hand-painted tiles, while the bejmat tiles on the wall of the entrance were treated like works of art. We even incorporated blue ceramic tiles from the entrance to our home into the salon, creating a seamless transition between spaces.
Our attention to detail did not stop there. We transformed a beautiful painting by John William Waterhouse into a stunning addition to the bathroom in keeping with the Sirène (mermaid) theming. The hand-painted Moroccan sink and the antique bathroom mirror sourced from Country NSW added to the unique charm of the space. The bathroom also boasts 1200 Spanish tiles on the walls and navy blue tiles on the floor, creating a serene and calming atmosphere.
For those looking to relax and unwind, the deep blue batik kimonos from Indonesia are a perfect addition. The antique French sconces added an elegant touch to the room, while the cage light shades and gold shower caddy add a simple yet attractive element to the space.
Overall, our goal was to create a space that was unforgettable and enchanting. We hope that our guests will feel transported to a different world when they step into the Salon, and we are confident that the unique design elements we have incorporated will leave a lasting impression. We use only sensitive, perfume-free washing powders, and for cleaning, we “go nude” with pure essential oil blends. All shower products provided are natural, with no synthetic fragrances—just the beauty of real essential oils. We believe you’ll feel better for it!

Enjoy complete privacy during your stay at our studio in Byron Bay. With your own private entrance and gate, you can access the space without coming into contact with anyone else. Relax in your own secluded courtyard and make the most of your own personal retreat.
Other things to note
Please note that there are no cooking facilities in the salon and that we do not allow people to set up any BBQs in the courtyard or inside the salon itself. For this reason the salon is a perfect retreat for those who enjoy experiencing the local culture, cuisine, and attractions and just need a special space to return to at the end of a wonderful day. Also note we have a firm cancellation policy - please consider taking a small travel insurance policy, these can be purchase for less than twenty dollars and give you complete peace of mind.
Please note:- we do not accept any little babies or children in the salon because it is not set up for young ones - so sorry.
No smoking allowed inside or outside and no smokers allowed. So sorry but if you are planning to smoke on your holiday our place will not be comfortable for you. I do not want to be cleaning up after smokers in our salon as it is more work and just not what I want for our home. So sorry. 🚭
