Start your next adventure and step into the secluded Red Roof Chalet, our picturesque 5 bedroom chalet with panoramic views of the Grey Highlands and Georgian Bay from the expansive wrap around cedar deck and 3rd floor loft. Whether you decide to enjoy a morning coffee watching the sunrise or a nice glass of wine as you reminisce over the adventures of the day - from the slopes, beaches, trails or golf courses that are all conveniently located within a short drive from our year round location.
The space
The Red Roof Chalet is fully equipped to be your home-away-from-home. The open concept kitchen is furnished with all the essentials including plenty of space to prepare your gourmet meals that you can enjoy together around the dining room table, or take it to the deck for an epic barbecue.
Our eco-friendly chalet equipped with 2 full bathrooms and 2 living rooms which are split over 3 floors; there is space enough to comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests in the available beds. There are 3 bedrooms are on the first floor of which one of them is our bunkhouse that has a custom set of bunkbeds with a double on the bottom and single up top (best suited for families) - it is also equipped with a private 42" smart TV and air hockey table for the kids to enjoy! There are two additional private bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors and can be viewed within the pictures of each of the living room areas - the 2nd floor bedroom has direct access to the wrap-around deck. All private bedrooms have queen-sized beds and the 3rd bedroom on the main floor has 2 bunk-beds, which is the perfect space for family slumber parties.
Our main floor open concept kitchen, dining and gathering area is the perfect space to hang out, entertain and prepare your group’s next adventure. With the property being on the top of the escarpment, feel free to take advantage of the natural air movements outside by opening up the patio doors to allow the fresh country breeze in. Each floor has their own heating/cooling units with individual remotes that can be used to adjust the temperature to your preferred settings.
After hiking through the Bruce Trail or skiing the slopes, take a break in one of our multiple seating areas to relax both indoors and out. The outdoor amenities are spectacular with large portions of covered cedar deck offering ample lounge areas with their own mini-eco-climatic zones and scenic views - there’s even lots of space for those who enjoy morning yoga! Once the sun goes down, transition to the outdoor fire pit (yes, even during the winter months!) to enjoy an evening of stargazing and a second glass of wine.
For those who prefer to finish off the day with a movie, big game or games night, retreat to the loft to challenge your crew one of our multiple sports venues. When it is time for a quiet movie night, this comfy space includes a 55” flat screen WiFi TV with streaming access to all your favourite accounts. Once you are nestled in for the night, it is time to wind down in the media room amidst the relaxing ambience with thoughts filled of the adventures of the day.

The chalet is accessible through paved roads, just be sure to set your GPS to ensure you avoid the off-road adventures.
There is plenty of parking for up to 10 vehicles or a combination of vehicles and toy haulers around the chalet’s driveway.
Other things to note
The Grey Highlands are located in a picturesque part of Grey county and is the backdrop to many of the Niagara Escarpment and Georgian Bay’s natural amenities. You are literally minutes away from Georgian Bay or just a short drive to the provincial parks, conservation areas (and awesome waterfalls!), the Bruce Trail and many of the recreational adventures that encompass the area. There are a multitude of golf courses and ski resorts also within a 30 minute radius of our location.
Please note that supplemental heating and air conditioning is provided through a split duct (heat pump) on all 3 floors and is controlled by remotes to ensure each floor is comfortable. The Nest thermostats on the main floor are for controlling the in-floor gas heating and are only to be used during power outages or extreme weather as the chalet was built to survive off the grid, including a battery back-up and solar panels.
