Calling all adventurous wanderers…
Step into our one-of-a-kind geodesic timber glamping domes at the foot of dormant volcano crater Mount Schank — perhaps the most unique place you'll ever spend the night.
Our eco-friendly off-grid experience is the perfect balance of reconnecting with nature and enjoying a restorative retreat.
The domes are part of Mountain Path Meadows — a wedding, events, and yoga retreat venue in South Australia’s Limestone Coast (aka your cosy domes away from home).

Our rustic yet refined vibe is evident from the moment you turn in the driveway. After all, when the surroundings are this naturally stunning, the raw beauty speaks for itself. Park your car and look toward the volcano through the trees … you’ll only just be able to sneak a peek at the top of your other-worldly domes away from home.
Our geodesic domes are an architectural wonder, also dubbed the “Bucky Ball” after its creator, legendary architect Buckminster Fuller. Geodesic domes are sphere-like structures made up of many interconnected triangles which provide an incredibly strong structural framework that uses minimal materials. As far as we know, ours are the first (and still only!) timber geodesic domes in South Australia.
Sling on your backpack or let us help tote your luggage up a 250-meter stroll from the car park, over rolling ancient lava flows, past mature eucalyptus and sheoaks. Use these couple of minutes to tune in to the soundtrack of dozens of different birdsongs, and leave your AirPods in the car.
Awaiting you inside the dome is a minimalist, rustic chic interior. In Dome 1 you’ll find a luxurious, award-winning Eva brand King size mattress and bed frame, complete with Bed Threads 100% flax linen bedding. Lay in pure luxury looking straight up at the stars through our dome’s skylight, and drift off to one of the best sleeps of your life. Dome 1 also boasts a queen size Koala fold out sofa, which is bound to defy all your expectations about sleeping on fold out sofas … there are no metal frames here!
Dome 2 features two Koala foldout queen size sofa beds.
We treat the domes as a pair, so you’ll get access to both regardless of your group size. No crowded campgrounds here. It’s just you. Sit back, relax, and unwind.
Take this opportunity to unplug from technology (after all, there’s no Wifi, electricity, heating or cooling in The Domes!) and get back to the basics. The space is yours to enjoy, surrounded by picturesque nature, countless gum trees and native wildlife. We provide a charged up battery bank suitable for juicing up your phone once or twice, solar lights to guide your way, and battery-powered torches/flashlights for your use while you’re here.

Guest access
Heading north on Mountain Path Road, you’ll see our Mountain Path Meadows sign on the corner of our property. Continuing past that, just before the bitumen ends, you’ll enter our property by turning right at the driveway next to the black “Guest Entrance” sign on our fence.
Continue straight ahead, following the two-track driveway to the car park, where you’re welcome to park anywhere you please.
Sling on your backpack — or let us help tote your luggage — for a 250-meter stroll to The Domes from the car park. Remember, this is the bush and the walk can be muddy (depending on the weather) so bring your gumboots and leave the white sneakers at home!
Let us know what time you plan to arrive, and we’ll keep an eye out for you and help you get settled in your accommodation with a few handy tips and tricks.
Other things to note
Every guest gets access to our Off-Grid Survival Kit, which includes the essentials for a comfortable and eco-friendly stay. Torches, battery bank phone chargers, fully charged Bluetooth speaker, body wipes and deodorant, cosy warm socks, and eye masks (to block the light if Mother Nature leaves the stars and moon on too bright during your stay).
Please note: We have spent a lot of time sourcing bedding, cushions, homewares, decor, and the dome itself from all around the world. We hope you can understand how much the dome and all the items inside it mean to us, and we hope you treasure them as much as we do. So we ask that you please refrain from eating or drinking on the bed, moving furniture or other items (it will scratch the floors), and be careful and delicate with all our homewares to avoid damaging anything. Any damages will incur a charge or a replacement fee. If you spill something, there are towels located in the dome, and we ask that you please let us know immediately if anything is spilled on or damaged in any way. We are much more likely to be lenient and understanding if we are told about something upfront.
