Our home is located in rural Malin Beg, Glencolmcille right on the edge of the Atlantic in the Slieve League Peninsula.

It is surrounded by mountains, fields, cliffs, coastal trails and some of Ireland's best beaches (walking distance to the famous Silver Strand beach). It is peaceful with unbeatable views.

As our holiday home, we visit often with family and have recently refreshed it to make it a comfortable, easy base for guests to explore Donegal or just enjoy quiet days.

The space
The cottage is spacious with all modern day comforts. It is near pubs, historical sites, and right on the Wild Atlantic Way. Follow us on IG @hellomalinbeg

Open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with fireplace
2 bedrooms (each with Super King beds and ensuite bathrooms)

The garden overlooks the ocean and has a beautiful view of the Rathlin O'Birne Lighthouse. It offers a wide, open space for kids to play in. Seasonal furniture and bench also available.

Guest access
Guest have access to all amenities in the house and garden, except the garage. There is ample parking.

Please note our water comes from a local well and can be discoloured after heavy rain. It is filtered and fine for washing, bathing and general use . For drinking, please use bottled water.

A limited supply of fire wood will be provided. Additional can be purchased at the local gas station/store.

Pack for sunshine, showers, and everything in between! Donegal is perfect for outdoor adventures.

After years of visiting Donegal, my family and I finally found our spot in Malin Beg. To us, this area is the perfect blend of wild Atlantic drama, yet peaceful with a rural Irish feel and local convenience. We enjoy being up there in the cottage, and have recently decided to share our place and open our doors to guests so they, too, get to know the Irish countryside.
