Welcome to Lost Tree Lakehouse!
Fall and winter are coming, and Lost Tree Lakehouse is the perfect spot for your getaway in our cozy cottage in the woods. Our kitchen is fully stocked with a full-size fridge and stove, ideal for cooking up your favourite dishes. Love the smell of a wood fireplace? We got you covered! This property includes a beautiful indoor wood stove to give you the full experience of a cabin in the woods - wood included!
Located right on Redstone Lake, our property offers direct access to a variety of activities, including an all-season hot tub, sauna, kayaking, and canoeing (Please note our dock gets removed at the end of August to mid-September, depending on the season). Access to the water is via the stairs during the Fall months, should you wish to use our water toys. The area is also great for biking, hiking, snowshoeing & sledding. Set on a beautiful 4.25 acres of forested land gives you privacy during your stay.
Note: Lower Dock only open for summer between May and September, depending on the water levels in the region for the year. Wander down our 150 stairs to 200 ft of shoreline and a dock (seasonal) built to spend the entire day down there soaking in the sun, relaxing, swimming or using our water toys provided.
Our upper deck area is a wellness retreat with a beautiful 5 person scandinavian style hot tub with views of the forest and the iconic lost tree, bon fire and electric 6-person sauna. Enjoy our bbq, comfortable seating area and outdoor dining space.

The lakehouse has 2 full bathrooms each with a beautiful stand-up shower with impressive water pressure. There is one bathroom on each floor of the property.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
For those looking for an adventure, the Lakehouse is located 20 minutes away from the Haliburton Forest where some of the best snowmobiling, ATV’ing and dog sledding can be found in the winter months and a 30 minute drive to Sir Sam’s Ski & Bike.

Please note that in Winter months, a vehicle with All Wheel Drive or 4x4 is require to access the property due to the nature of the cottage road and varied weather. We have shovels and salt available for your use. We do not do any refunds should you not be able to make it to the property in your vehicle due to regular snow that happens in the area. Please come prepared. The road gets plowed by Hawk River Construction, and they come on a as need basis with a 3 inch snow minimum.
The property has a generator which gets checked yearly. Should there be a power outage the generator will kick in to power the cottage. Should the generator not work, most outages are short-lived, and we ask you to wait it out and check the HydroOne website. The property has a wood fireplace to keep the property warm. No refunds are made due to power outages unless they are over 12h or longer, and affecting your stay.
The water levels fluctuate dramatically each year from Spring to Fall in Redstone Lake depending on the weather. This means that the dock at one point or another could be removed or altered to adjust to these water levels. Should you want to bring a boat, we recommend you book earlier in the season, as we cannot guarantee the levels depending on the weather. Maximum of 16 foot boat. All boats need to be pre-approved. On most year the dock gets removed first week of September. We still have water access for water sports, but please bring appropriate footwear (ie. water shoes).
There are 150 steps (stairs) to walk down to the dock.
