This place has a feel on its own. Next door to our family, our ocean view apartment is all you need to surf the day away and enjoy the empty stretch of beach. We’re located a stone's throw from the ocean, on the 3d floor, and thus have THE view on the all corners of the bay. We’re close to the local restaurants and the local surf point where Jamal has the surf school. Expect a basic equipped kitchen, a bathroom with hot water, a good table to catch up on work and, of course, a very comfy bed.
The space
We love to give the feeling of comfort while being close to nature and the ocean. The apartment, therefore, is compact with everything at hand, but we no Wifi for that ultimate feeling of connection/disconnection (for those in dire need of internet, an ORANGE simcard can be purchased for €1 and GB’s are cheap. Note that other than the provider Orange there is no good reception).
For sleeping: we have one bedroom with ocean view and a large king size bed (180 x 200) and a semi-seperate space, next to the entrance, with a single (80 x 190) bed for a third guest, also with ocean view.
The living space has two big windows overlooking the bay, including a view of the local surf point. You can some yoga on the toof terrace (we have 2 travelling yoga mats) and expect enough space for relaxing and enjoying the view.
There is a comfortable table to do some work or enjoy a nice meal together. Not only do we have a fully equipped kitchen, but the local restaurants can brings food up to the house.
Last but not least, we have a super clean bathroom with a shower with hot water and a toilet. Our family lives next door and supports you with we're anything you need. You’ll share the roof terrace with them—but feel free to enjoy the sunset, do some yoga or soak in the view of the bay (good to know: We are on the third floor and the roof terrace has no fence, it therefore is not the ideal location for families with young children).
Guest access
The access and front door of the apartment is next to our family's home, you share the stairs and outdoor terrace with them. They are happy to help with anything you need.
Other things to note
TRAVELLING WITH KIDS
As previously noted: the apartment is located on the third floor and the roof terrace has no fence, it therefore is not the ideal location for families with young children.
EATING IN TAFEDNA
There are a few nice but basic restaurants in Tafedna and there are a few shops that sell basic supplies - veggies, pasta, rice, couscous, bread, oil, and so on.
For bigger supplies, you can find a good supermarket in Essouira 60km from Tafedna. in case of a lack of desire for cooking: our family next door is always open to cook for you - tajine or fish are their specialties.
TRANSPORT
Once you book you can access our arrival guide which shares all the details on how to arrive to the apartment from the different big cities and aiports (Marrakech, Essaouira and Agadir). It is quite easy to get in and out of Tafedna, there are daily shared taxis to the town Smimou from where you can take another shared taxis to one of the bigger cities.
