GPFC, originally our grandmother's orchard.Covering an area of 1600 square meters, it is separated from Chiang Mai University by a wall, 5 minutes drive to Nimman Road and 15 minutes to the ancient city.It is a rare "urban oasis", embracing the convenience of the city and the quietness of the forest.
40 years ago, my grandfather was an agricultural expert who supported me from Taiwan to Chiangmai.In more than a decade, I traveled around Thailand, and taught Thai farmers about fruit cultivation to Thai farmers, which made a major contribution to the Thai North agriculture, received awards from the Thai government, and gradually settled in Chiang Mai with my grandmother.
About 20 years ago, because of her interest, Grandma and Grandpa overcame the hot weather in Thailand and tried to grow "Taiwan-specific fruits" in GPFC: pink mangoes as big as the palm of their hand, red heart guava that can't be bought on the market, grapes grown in the branches of the trees, "mysterious fruits" that turn the acid into sweet...
The Camping Villa is a teak cabin with teak floors from the walls to the floor.Two floors in the house, 6 meters high.Outside, there is a kitchen outdoors, and a big gazebo of 50 sqm.Even when the sun is burning, you can sit in the gazebo and eat our special fruits, and feel the peace and cool breeze.
We also designed the camping area to bring our own tent or rent a tent camp. 1600 sqm, only one group of guests, no disturbances from outsiders, safe and secure during the pandemic.
“GPFC” stands for “Grandparents Fruit Camp.”Here, in addition to sharing Taiwanese special fruits grown by grandparents, I also hope to let the elderly spend their retirement and exchange life stories with more people.
The space
GPFC is not a standard hotel listing!
1. The house is a teak structure (from wall to floor), sound insulation and reinforced cement structure house can not match, if there are light sleepers, it is recommended to bring earplugs.Living equipment can't be compared to a hotel either.
2. The wooden house is 1 floor and half structure, the 1st floor includes the living room, one room, toilet, and is an attic.4 people will be maximum.However, since the room design is not completely enclosed, 4 people in the group need to share the room area and restroom on the 1st floor.It is more recommended for families to travel or stay together.If it's about privacy, this listing doesn't necessarily fit
3. Although it is located in the downtown area, in the deepest part of the alley, the neighborhood is full of local neighbors, the people are sparsely populated, very quiet, perfect for guests who like the relaxation of nature.At the same time, the house + orchard is 1600 square +, the area is larger, and only open to one group of guests.For questions or fear of late night policing, it is recommended to choose a street-side home.
