On the ground floor of our house, you'll stay in a self-contained 50-square-meter apartment in a quiet, green neighborhood close to the town center.
A private outdoor space is reserved for you to relax or enjoy your meals.
The apartment is located 10 minutes walk from Arbois town center, with free parking available, and 5 minutes walk from Mesnay's bakery.
Independent check-in and check-out are possible.
The space
This is a spacious, self-contained, ground-floor apartment (73cm wide doorways) located on the ground floor of our house, ideal for a solo stay or a couple (plus a baby).
Self check-in and check-out are possible.
It’s composed of an open-plan kitchen/living/dining area, a bedroom with a double bed (140x190cm), and a bathroom with a small bathtub, accessible independently from the bedroom or the living room.
In the living room there is an extra sofa bed that can be arranged as 2 separate single beds (90x200) or as a double bed (2 x 90x200).
In order to welcome you in the best possible way, please specify me when you make your reservation how I should prepare the bedding.
There is a garden area in front of the apartment that you can use. The garden is fenced but not separated, it is a shared space.
We live here with our dog, who is very sociable with humans and other dogs, and our cats. We make sure that our dog does not disturb you during your stay. Your furry friends are welcome.
The market takes place every Friday morning on the Champs de Mars, 10 minute walk from the house.
In town, you will find a craft shop, decoration shop, a bookstore, cheese shops, very good chocolates/ice cream makers/pastry chefs, many winemakers, restaurants and bars.
Remember to book if you want to be sure to have a table at restaurant, especially at lunchtime at Bistrot des Claquets (a single-course menu with a buffet of homemade starters and desserts: vegetarian on Wednesdays, homemade French fries on Fridays. Some producers sell their products on Tuesday evenings: fresh eggs, Carmen's delicious fresh goat cheeses and Keiko's delicious tofu and Japanese dishes, for example).
Plenty of cultural and artistic events take place regularly in Arbois and the surrounding.
There are some beautiful hikes to do right from our doorstep: Le Fer à Cheval, L'Ermitage, Pupillin...
You can also rent electric bikes in town to explore the surrounding area.
For a wellness break: Salins les Bains thermal baths are 15 minutes drive away (closed in January) and if you fancy a massage, I can recommend an excellent masseuse in Arbois to book before your arrival (5 continents massage, Kobido (face), Tuina...).
You can reach the region's swimming/skiing spots in a 45/60/90-minute drive.
The Cascade des Tufs is 5 minutes drive away.
The Grotte des Moidons is 15 minutes away.
You'll be in the center of the Triangle d'Or: Salins-les-Bains and Poligny are 15 minutes away by car.
And quite close to Montigny Les Arsures and Pupillin as well.
Arc-et-Sénans is 20 minutes away.
Dole and Lons-le-Saunier are 40 minutes away.
Besançon is 45 minutes away and Dijon is 1 hour away.
And Lyon is 1.5 hours away.

You can park on the street directly in front of the house along the low wall past the gate on your left, making sure to pull in tightly and leave room for neighbors who also park there.
The apartment is separate from our living space.
If you prefer, you can arrive and depart independently thanks to a key box; otherwise, we would be delighted to welcome you.

We live with pets: two cats and a dog who behaves very well with humans and other dogs. Very sociable and playful, if you bring your four-legged friend, Vador will be delighted to meet him and have fun with him.
We make sure he doesn't bother you during your stay.
Your pets can enjoy the shared garden. The space is fenced but not separated.
If you see your pet doing its business there, please pick up and dispose of its droppings in the trash.
