Beautiful area
Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. You will find plenty of wildlife to watch from the patio including Pheasants Squirrels and Red Kites.
The village has a service station, shop and "The Trout Cafe" serving good home cooked food.
Freesat T.V and Wifi If you wish to stay connected to the outside world or peace and quiet if not.
The space
The Studio is at one end of a Barn in a court yard setting and has it's own patio seating area within the grounds. Internally there is an open plan living space with fully equipped kitchen, a Sofa bed on the ground floor (please note small double) and a mezzanine bedroom with a double bed. The large shower room is just off the main living area.
Within easy reach of Llanwrtyd Wells, Llyn Brianne Reservoire and The Devil's Staircase, there is plenty to explore in this lovely part of Wales. Builth Wells with its magnificent Showground hosting many events is just a 15 minute drive from the Studio and Elan Valley is 25 minutes away.
Dog friendly, although please keep dogs off the furniture. We also ask that they are kept on a lead outside of the Studio as we are surrounded by sheep farming country and two cats live in the main barn opposite. Please pick up after your dog.

There is plenty of space to park in the court yard, and it is worth noting that we have a weather dependent pond near the Studio that does attract wildlife.
Other things to note
There is uneven ground on courtyard and walkway to the front door.
The Studio does have an original Rayburn installed, but this is just for decoration now as there is under floor heating in place.
The water supply comes from a borehole on site, and is sterilised with a UV filter. It does not contain chlorine.
There is a secure workshop to store Bikes overnight, and a chest freezer which guests are welcome to use if needed as there is only a fridge in the Studio.

There is plenty to explore in this beautiful part of Wales. Elan Valley is just 30 minutes away with excellent walks and bike routes as well as the Elan Valley Trail. Brecon and the Beacons are also close by. Llanwrtyd Wells, home of Man versus Horse Marathon, Bog Snorkeling and wild water swimming at Wash Pool, Irfon, just 10 minutes away.
If nature is your preferred interest, there are Nature reserves near by waiting to be explored and of course the beautiful night Sky, just outside of your front door, when weather permits. There are Welsh Ponies on the hills and sheep in the surrounding fields as well as some fantastic car drives including Devils Staircase so there is something for everyone.
