Escape from it all in my new glamping tent. Situated amidst nature at only 10 min walking from the boat dock away, it's stylish, cozy, and conveniently equipped with a bathroom nearby. Awaken to the breathtaking sight of Lake Petén Itza, accompanied by the calls of howler monkeys and the vibrant awakening of the jungle. Please make sure to mark down the number of persons that will arrive. The nightly price is valid for one person only.

The space
You'll be staying in a glamping tent that sleeps up to 2 people. The view of the lake is incredible and the jungle surrounds you in all its beauty. Nevertheless - the bath and shower house is a couple of steps away. WiFi is also available. There is a cute hammock area with hammocks and chairs if you want to have your morning coffee outside.

I do offer breakfast at an additional cost. Ask for the options upon arrival.

The property is only 10 min walking away from the dock here in San Miguel and a 5 min boat ride away from Flores island. Boats run from 6am until 10/11pm during the week and even longer on weekends. In San Miguel there are Tuc Tucs that can take you around.

Guest access
The tent has its own little garden hangout area with a table, chairs and hammocks available that you can use between 7am and 8pm in order not to disturb other guests that might stay on the property. There is NO parking available on or in front of the property as it only has a narrow access road that is used by me and my neighbor. Motorbikes can access and park on the property unless they're not wider than 1.10m.

Other things to note
As many guests have already mentioned – this is a hidden gem, and I want it to stay that way. Please treat the place with respect and be mindful of the environment and facilities.

This accommodation is LGBTQ+ friendly. Discrimination of any kind is not allowed, and everyone is equally welcome.

We do NOT offer parking, and parking in front of the property is not permitted! If you are arriving with your own vehicle or a rental car, you will need to find a parking spot yourself. I do not take responsibility for vehicles.

Also, there is no possibility to store luggage here.

If you plan to visit one of the Maya sites such as Tikal or Yaxha, or if you need other tours/shuttle tickets, I can arrange reservations with a trusted agency. Just ask for a list of tours and prices, and I’ll be happy to assist or provide information.

Please also pay attention to the check-in and check-out times. If you are arriving very early or leaving late, you can book an early check-in or late check-out if availability permits. The cost for either one of them is 50Q per person and must be paid in cash upon arrival. The earliest check-in time is 7:30 AM, and the latest check-out time is 6:00 PM.

Please handle everything with care and respect. But if something happens, be forthcoming and I'm sure we can sort it out.

Lastly: No visitors are allowed on the property. Casa Federico is a private property, access is exclusive to booked guests and it is a place of peace and tranquility so respect the night hours (8pm - 7am) and keep the volume down in order not to disturb other guests.
