Other things to note
We like to keep things clear and upfront so you can feel 100% confident about what to expect. Here are a few helpful things to know before your stay:

Ceiling Heights:
The suite is in the basement of a home and boasts varying ceiling heights, ranging from 6'5" to 6'8". Please note, the fire alarm located at the bedroom entry sits at 6'2" but is positioned to be easily avoidable. My friend that is 6'3" tells me he is comfortable in the space and has never had an issue with the fire alarm.

Sound Considerations:
As this is a basement unit, you may occasionally hear sounds from the main floor above. We strive to minimize noise, but some ambient sounds are inherent to the space.

Temperature Control:
Please note that the central heating and cooling system is managed from the main floor. To enhance your comfort, the suite is equipped with a space heater for additional warmth. Should you find the temperature too warm, feel free to open the windows to adjust the room to your preference.

Home Exterior:
Please note that the exterior of our home is currently undergoing renovations. While this does not affect the comfort and amenities of the basement suite, the entrance area may appear unfinished. We appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance our property.

Cleaning & Safety:
The unit is equipped with an egress window in the bedroom in case of an emergency.

Your health and comfort matter to us. That’s why we follow a detailed cleaning and sanitization process after every guest checkout. Everything’s fresh and spotless when you arrive.

Routine Maintenance & Emergency Access
To ensure the property remains safe and in good working condition, the owner may need to enter the unit once per month to perform routine maintenance such as changing furnace filters. You will always receive reasonable advance notice before any scheduled visit.

In rare cases where a mechanical or system issue occurs—such as a problem with the water shut-off, electrical breaker panel, plumbing, heating, or any essential service—the owner or authorized personnel may need to access the unit with little or no notice to prevent damage or restore proper function.

We always aim to minimize disruption and will communicate promptly in all situations.
