Refurbished studio w/ bike storage & pet friendly

AlejandroRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Matt’s place was an absolute gem. My girlfriend and I stayed there for two nights while we explored the island, which due to the central location of the house was extremely easy. The place is exactly as shown and described online, and was stocked up with everything we needed, from toiletries to laundry and coffee appliances. Matt was a really proactive host that made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. On top of that, he also provided an extensive list of recommendations that did not disappoint. We will definitely choose him as our host again for our next trip to the island!

West Winds

I booked Valerie's room for 2 nights . When I arrived she showed me where the bedroom, bathroom & kitchen were & said to help myself to tea & coffee. She gave me a front door key & my room had a key as well. The house was very quiet, as was the area. Valerie was easy to chat to & friendly. I asked her a favour & she helped me. My room was spacious, clean & bed was comfortable. I would recommend Valerie's rooms & would book with her again, if I was in the area.

The Annex was a great hub for us while we were visiting the island. It was clean, comfortable and lovely and quiet. Nicola was a great host, very clear instructions for checking in/out and a very responsive host who was helpful with questions and quick to respond. Thank you for having us.

Castle Cottage

MuratRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Lovely Cozy Cottage We had a great stay at this charming and cozy cottage. However, if you’re tall, be mindful of some low areas—particularly the staircase, which has head clearance restrictions, and the bedroom door frame, which is in the traditional old cottage style. We bumped our heads a few times, but it was all part of the character! You will get used to that. House is Grade II Listed building so no option about these. The location is on a busy road, parking can be challenging but you can find spaces. Castle Lane has got some spaces but it’s fantastic for sightseeing, especially if you’re traveling with a dog water fords castle etc. A couple of minor downsides: there’s no dishwasher, but no spaces for it and the fridge is quite small. The WiFi runs on a 4G router, so it can occasionally cut out. The good size TV works well, but it’s not a smart TV—bring your Firestick if you want streaming options. Overall, everything else was great, and we really enjoyed our stay!

Nice small Caravan at thorness bay Isle of Wight

Rob and his daughter Natasha were great hosts. The house was clean and everything was ready for our arrival on time. The house had everything we needed. A special plus was the availability of board games for the children. Rob also helped with booking ferry tickets at a very good discount. The only downside was that access to the pool required a separate pass and payment.

Lovely stay, great location to get to anywhere. Nice to be able to stay and chill if weather not great, Lots of room everywhere, well equipped kitchen, beautiful views and large outdoor area with bbq, seating, lots of parking room. Friendly helpful host. Would recommend much better value than a guest house 🤩

A secluded cabin in a glorious downland setting

LaurieRating, 5 stars9 months ago
A stunning secluded location with outstanding views. Great for wildlife spotting. The kids loved the enormous outdoor space to run free and picking blackberries for their breakfast. Cabin is compact but has everything you need. No mains electricity but solar/battery so no high power appliances. Beds are comfy and bedding provided. Centrally located, seemed to be about 20-30 mins from anywhere on the island. Be warned that the steep grass track up to the cabin can be slippery and you may have to leave the car at the bottom of the hill and walk in bad weather. We only had to once and it actually added to the adventure! All in all a fantastic place with a very friendly host. Looking forward to going back. Thanks Charlie.

Waterfront Getaway: Walks, Pub & Island Adventures

SamRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Had a great stay. The location turned out to be ideal, as it was very central. The marina is beautiful, and the walk to the local pub was really nice. We made use of the water taxies a couple of times, but it was also very handy having on-site electric chargers for the car. The house itself was great for the 4 of us (2 adults + 2 kids), and having three toilets and two showers was a huge bonus. The little garden was nice for getting a little bit of sun, but we mostly just used the house for sleeping, breakfast, and planning our days out. Rob contacted us after we had left, and mailed back some things we had left behind. A very nice thing to do - and much appreciated. When we return to the Isle of Wight, we will definitely look to book this place again.
