Beautiful grounds in a very unique natural area. The house is exactly as it looks in the photos. Everything was clean and well organized and easy to use. The kids loved the surrounding forest.

Lovely big house with convenient location on the outskirts of Yamanochi. The amenities are top notch and it is very spacious and cozy. You have a breathtaking view of the mountain and you can reach the Shiga plateau in about 20 minutes by car and in less than 5 minutes at the parking lot to the Monkey-Onsen. The only downside is the location directly on a noisy main road. At night there is little traffic, but oropax is still recommended...

Very happy with our experience with our stay Slightly inconvenient location, not walkable, but all stay was very happy and satisfied All communication with the host was included and the help they provided was quite satisfying! We had a hard time encountering a super cold stream this time, the snow was quite thick on the day we checked out, and the host struggled to help get a taxi, so the host came by himself to pick us up and drop us three families to Yuzawa station, really, very, very thankful!!🙏🙏

Can you recommend Ian and Deborah’s place more highly. Stop scrolling and just book it! Ian was unbelievably generous with all the extra help he gave us. He even stocked the fridge with substantial basics for breakfast and spices and oils etc to make self catering much easier. The location is more than convenient. Thanks so much Ian. You are a super duper host!

This was one of my favorite Airbnbs in Japan. Moku, the superhost, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt at home in the property. The space is tastefully decorated, well designed, and very practical layout. 4 rooms with 3 toilets!. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The private onsen was absolutely breathtaking — it felt like an incredibly luxurious experience, even surpassing many ryokans in town. We were completely blown away!

Whilst the snow wasn’t what we hoped so late in the season we loved our time in Nozawa. Gab and his lovely family and staff made us so welcome as well as helping with all our questions and recommendations for ski hire and tours and the best of all, sending our excess baggage back to the airport allowing us to continue on our travels without our ski gear! The apartment was spacious and easily coped with 8 of us, perfect for larger groups. The apartment is located a 10 minute walk from main centre of town. We will be back!

The place is beautiful, traditional Japanese style but modernly built. Had all of what you need, spacious and clean. It’s quite far away from the closest city and you’ll need a car to go around. If you’re looking for serene place, it’s a great choice

The whole family was very satisfied with the new and very convenient and beautiful room and a large dog run. Incredibly beautiful cabin with a unique character and great atmosphere. Noriko went above and beyond to ensure instructions were clear; from directions, check in, in home instructions, and recommendations nearby. Bathroom was 11/10 and gorgeous. Place was cold when we got there but provided heaters warmed it up very quickly. For those going there, Google maps directions brought you right to the front and was easy to find. If visiting during the winter season, make sure to have at least studless snow tires as roads are very icy.
