Fantastic place to stay with all you need to enjoy your time in La Fortuna!

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at this cabin while visiting La Fortuna. Someone was there to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the cabin. I thought the location was perfect because it was just outside of town so it felt very private and away from the bustle, but it was only about a 10-15 walk from town and a grocery store. We loved having the back porch to sit and drink our morning coffee and watch the iguanas and birds. On our last day we were lucky to spot a pair of scarlet macaws! The porch was also important for hanging stuff to dry throughout our stay. The Airbnb is also a short walk to El Salto, a local swimming spot, and right next to a great restaurant called Tiquicia which had good local food. There were some dogs and a cat on the property that were sweet and we enjoyed seeing them every day. We also appreciated the AC at night for sleeping. Highly recommend staying here!

Magdalena’s house is a beautiful property with a great layout and stunning views. We loved the infinity pool and the outdoor area with a gazebo, hot tub, fire pit. The A/C mini splits kept the house cool, and the water pressure and hot water were excellent. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking, and Magdalena brought us fresh eggs every morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. She was very responsive, and her brother helped us organize tours, making everything easy. The house is a bit far from La Fortuna, but the drive is scenic and enjoyable. The only downside was the number of bugs falling from the living room ceiling, which we had to sweep up several times a day. Magdalena explained it was likely seasonal or due to a nesting bird and was already aware of it. Despite that, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this peaceful retreat.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! It’s a mighty fine establishment with everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, peaceful, private, and we always felt safe. The host was outstanding—always available, helpful, and proactive. Tons of wildlife in the mornings! We’d come back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

This is the best place to stay in La Fortuna. Private, but close to everything you’ll need. Ac is cold and the surrounding wildlife is nothing short of stunning. The hot tub doesn’t really warm up, but after a long day of activities the cold plunge was perfect. 10/10 would stay here every time

We loved our stay in this casa. It is a bit basic, but therefore really gives the feeling of how many houses are in Costa Rica and it was nice and spacious, nice furniture and very clean. The beds are firm, but we slept very well on them. The surroundings with the fantastic river ( good swimming and jumping from a rock) made us want to stay longer.

Excellent place to relax and get lost in the city. Very quiet and private. Lots of greenery and animal sound. 100% recommended.

Beautiful place overlooking the lake. Great sunrises and sunsets from the deck. Includes delicious breakfast across the street which was super convenient. Perfect if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing place as a base to explore area. Beds were super comfortable. Host was very responsive and addressed any issues right away. We had a Toyota Corolla and easily made it up road to house when it was dry. When wet it could be a challenge in a little car but there’s a slightly lower parking lot that’s maybe 25metres from unit that you’d still be able to park in and easily walk to unit. Would definitely stay again!

Cabana is in a great location with amazing view to mountain and tenorio volcano It’s private with all your needs Where is located is only minutes for rio celeste and it’s also closed to La fortuna San Carlos It’s a places where you can reset your self with nature The local people are very friendly, nice and you they make you feel like family I stayed with my 10 years old daughter And she was amazed by everything Definitely next time we are going to by at the north of Costa Rica It’s a place we want to stay again. Thank you Guys , for the warming and amazing experience

Fred’s place is amazing to be surrounded by nature. It’s cozy and you have everything you need. Fred was always responsive with any doubt or concern we had; the place is extremely close to Volcán Tenorio Park and an entrance to Rio Celeste; also people around are charming and very friendly. Take into account that there is no access by public transportation and if you arrive at night it will be extremely dark. Fred gave us a hand to find a taxi which was a real lifesaver. I highly recommend his place, but please be aware that there will definitely be some bugs since it’s really in the middle of nature. There were a couple of cute frogs that came visiting us at night. Finally: do yourself a favor and visit Vista Tenorio restaurant steps away from the house. It must be some of the best food I have ever had.

The area is super nice and quiet, it really is an area to relax. The stay as such is very well cared for and is perfect for vacationing with the family, pets included.

The stay met all my expectations in both cleaning and furnishings the phenomenal view in short I recommend the place

You have to visit Don David's cabins, the place is beautiful, very quiet and safe, it also has a restaurant and the food is delicious. In addition, they give horseback tours where they take you to the river and you can bathe in the Rio Celeste. The cabin is very nice, you sleep very comfortably, they have hot water and it is very clean. I really can't recommend this place more, I'll definitely be back 👌🏼
