House vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

Beautiful house with a great private pool! We stayed with four toddlers and appreciated that the door to the pool locked with a key--only downside to keeping the door closed though is that we couldn't open that whole set of doors facing the pool to cool off as intended, so the downstairs got hot. But if you don't have little kids that won't be an issue. We had a problem with one of the ACs but host was responsive and we got it fixed. If you are staying with kids be aware that the walk to town is on a busy road with not much of a sidewalk, so driving/taxi/hiking backpacks may be useful. The hosts give a lot of info and the place is exactly as listed, but it would be nice if check in could be easier to do on our own with lock codes, etc. Small thing but it would be great if shampoo were available as an amenity. Great place though and we would definitely stay again!

The house is spectacular, spacious and super modern. The street is de lastre and if it takes a long time to go out to the main road. The nearby beaches are very rocky, so we were able to quite take advantage of the pool and home amenities.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It had all we needed and loved the pool and barbecue area as well. Jorge and his family made us feel welcome and even took us to the store when we got there. He surprised us with fresh watermelon, coconuts and honeycomb! There is much to do in the area such as swimming, hiking the volcano area, horseback riding, zip lining and resting in the natural hot springs. We had a wonderful time and plan to come back. Thank you.

The house is beautiful, as seen in the photos, it is a quiet area, the attention from the hosts was excellent, we always got a quick response to our questions, everything very clean, the instructions for access very clear, everything worked perfectly, I recommend it 100%, we had a great time!

First of all, my family and I want to thank Don Santiago for his welcome and kindness. We also want to say that we loved the place, the rooms were super comfortable, the place was super quiet, the pool was clean and its location is great. Very happy and very grateful. Hope to comeback soon

Amazing stay in the heart of tamarindo!

Alex and Leonie were great hosts. Very responsive; answered all our questions and were very helpful. The house was great- plenty of space, very comfortable, very close to beach, shops, and restaurants. Super convenient that there is a washing machine and line to dry clothes. Pool was a highlight for us- great to relax in the evenings after activities during the day.

The place is perfect and exactly as described by the pictures. The rooms are big, and comfortable. The place is quiet. The pool is great for a sunny day or at night. I enjoyed the time in this place and absolutely will visit it again with my friends, we all loved it.

A glorious property right on the Samara beachfront. We rented out all four units for our four person family which gave everyone plenty of space and freedom. The house was quiet and peaceful - neighbours were rarely seen. The ocean and waves were beautiful for a family swim. The area felt very safe, even at night. Maggie the property manager was a total gem and helped us settle in. Highly recommend this property for those who are looking for a walk-out beachfront property a little outside of town.

Wow! We had a great time at Tavi’s home— comfortable furnishings, well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful view amid flowers and with the sweet songs of birds. The owners were so kind to provide information on the area, which was super helpful. We enjoyed so much the delicious food and experience at Casa Italia, we enjoyed it twice. The German restaurant also has a yummy breakfast. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

We loved our stay at the Beach House! Absolutely amazing location at the beachfront, empty beach, nice garden area and cute house. Note regarding insects: We did get visited by a lot of bugs in the house (especially ants) but when we sealed the front door were to able to limit the number.

We loved our time at Casa Lonestar! The management team was very responsive. We had some issues with water, both pressure and availability, but when we reached out to management, they sent someone quickly who offered support. The location is incredible, and there are excellent restaurants and beaches in easy walking distance. It also offers privacy and seclusion. The pool was incredible and it’s shaded in the afternoon which is really nice when it’s super hot on the beach! We highly recommend breakfast at Pots and Bowls and dinner at both Rip Jack Inn and Surf Dog. Make sure to pack your own shampoo and conditioner, and do some research on grocery stores if you plan on cooking in the house. Finding groceries was really challenging. Also, if you work with the fish guy, Frank, do it ahead of time not for the day you need the fish! Overall, we loved the place! Cheers and Pura Vida!

Wonderful week with my family of four! Loved Punta Islita—beautiful beach and resort- amenities available to us! So much wildlife around! We actually loved the separate master bedroom, worked perfectly for us. The pool was exquisite! Highly recommend!

Bertha and Kamal hooked me up with a local guide who helped me throughout the week. The house was nicely appointed, very clean and everything worked. Linens were of good quality. AC was good. Kitchen well equipped. The location is fantastic if you like the lush tropical rainforest vibe with lots of wildlife. Saw sloths, monkeys, Toucans a variety of birds and even an armadillo.. Proximity to Tenorio and Miravalles National Parks is excellent. Bijagua is a nice town and you get a feel for the real Costa Rica. I plan to return.

We loved our stay so much at Casa Bianca that we extended. Marie was so helpful. Beautifully furnished, comfortable beds and linens, super clean! The pool area was beautiful with lovely loungers. The outdoor kitchen was a great spot to hang out and prepare meals. Having a washer and dryer was so nice after traveling for a while. The location is perfect, short walk to beach, restaurants and shops. We loved that they provided beach chairs too. WiFi was strong to catch up on emails or research things to do. I would highly recommend staying and we are already looking at return dates. Playa Grande is a perfect location to do day trips from, we explored Tamarindo, Playa Flamingo and Brasilito. Marie provided great directions and a nice welcome package for nearby things to do. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

Great place to spend a relaxing vacation. Douglas was very responsive and the property was in a beautiful location. If you arent familiar with Costa Rica, be prepared the roads and long travel times. The location is in a beautiful location, but doesnt have alot of locations near the property. We were looking for that so it was perfect. Douglas' instructions and recommendations were very helpful and we really enjoyed the pool on property. We also had private chefs and massages on site which were great.

We had a great time, everything was perfect.We loved the pool and the casita was perfect for my 25 years old daughter. The view was incredible. There was construction near by but it wasn’t loud. It didn’t affect our vacation. I loved the kitchen, it was really well equipped! We highly recommend La Caza de Paz and we would come back for sure!

We had a fantastic stay! The house was very comfortable and spacious for our group of 11. The pool and outdoor lounge area were perfect for relaxing, and the location was great—close to restaurants, with one beach within walking distance and others just a short drive away. The gated property and alarm system made us feel very safe. Highly recommend for a fun and stress-free getaway!

We had a fabulous day at Ben’s. We found Ben very available and easy to communicate with. The space was perfect for three of us. We enjoyed the cats daily visits and showing us where the cat food was kept by banging the door until we opened it lol . There was a water issue during our stay and Ben worked hard to resolve it and provided a temporary solution. Thank you, Ben. There are a few minor items that could use some repairs which I’m sure will be taken care of promptly. We would highly recommend staying at Ben’s place.

Tyler is an ideal host! He's very friendly, responsive, and helpful. We loved staying at this place for three main reasons. First, the gorgeous and cool outdoor kitchen and pool. The beach is awesome, but does get hot. Tyler's backyard oasis was so refreshing and it was very fun to cook outdoors and mingle with the other guests. Second, the lovely local hosts aka Tyler's in-laws. They were on-site during our visit and so very nice. Finally, we could easily walk to the beach and surf! We took one lesson, and then easily rented boards from Tyler for the reminder of our stay to hone our surfing skills. This is a great spot, and a place we hope to return! Thanks Tyler!
