Family-friendly vacation rentals in Gros Islet

Verlindas place was remarkable, the view was amazing. The house is even more beautiful in person. It’s easy to find and close to lots of great spots. The host was very responsive and communicated well. I will definitely recommend and will book again.

Cladius and Giselle were wonderful!! They are new host Airbnb and really are working hard too make vacation stay is enjoyable in their property. Prior to arrival they helped us arrange rental cars transportation from the port and back to the port. We arrived after 9 o'clock at night and they met us in a public place and guided us to the property. In addition Gisele had made sure that there were items in the fridge and Pantry items so that we could have breakfast and coffee without running to the grocery store first thing in the morning. The property is very comfortable with air conditioning in 2 bedrooms and a wonderful master bathroom complete with impressive Spa shower hot tub unit. The kitchen has American sized appliances. There is even fitness equipment for your use. There is an outside gas grill with an outside bar unfortunately we were so busy traveling the island we did not get to try it out. The upstairs has a large patio on the roof for you to enjoy outside time and sunsets. I would highly recommend staying on site this side of the island as the roads are significantly better than the more traditionally tourists side of the island. In addition the local flavor is really great to experience instead of just being around other tourists. The dinner Fish Fry on Saturday night is not to be missed. Much better than the touristy Gros Islet. I would highly recommend going to La Tille Falls, it is very close to the house and well worth the visit. Be sure to pick up some lemongrass syrup from John. They also have TV that has American stations so we were even able to watch football and some of the bowl games. Gisele was exceptional at keeping in contact. She was always just a text away even if we were somewhere on the other side of the island and needed directions. If you are looking for a true st. Lucian experience but with modern Comforts I would highly recommend booking this home.

This villa was a dream to stay at. Perfect for my 30th birthday. Every bedroom had a balcony, air-con, a bathroom and main character energy. The porch outside is directly but a safe distance from water front where the view of the boats and harbour is so peaceful. The kitchen and living space was extremely well equipped. Small touches like coolers to take to the beach and a house phone for local calls was very helpful. Our house keeper was the sweetest lady ever. Just book here you’ll be inspired to buy a holiday home. The master suite is sensational the jacuzzi bath was amazing (there’s a shower as-well). Property is located in the heart of Rodney bay next to everything taking a cab would be pointless. It’s a gated community which is not need as the area is very safe but it adds to the luxury. Host is so friendly super responsive. Pictures of this place does it no justice at all.

Lawrence’s place was amazing. It was the prefect place for a birthday vacation celebration. We will definitely return.

Joseph, Nadina and family (Nadia, Olivia and Sofia) were very kind. We've spend an amazing time there. Smugglers Cove beach near our place (5 min driving) is perfect for those who wants to do snorkeling and chilling at the beach with a great restaurant. The place is perfect for 4 people (two couples). We had the chance to spend an all day with the family and some friends from Martinique on mothers'as day. So, we could enjoyed the saint lucian's life. We've had some chill, some dance and some fun. We had a great stay at Villa Zatara. It's a lovely, relaxing place and provided plenty of space for my family of four. The host, Robert, was fantastic - very friendly and responsive. The cleaning lady Nancy was lovely and an unexpected addition. I think my kids enjoyed more than anything the two very friendly cats that became our pets during our stay. We felt very safe in the location and we found a number of very good restaurants and beaches within a short driving distance. We were very glad we had decided to rent a car. I think it would have been challenging without it. We learned the hard way that you must be very regular and liberal with the bug spray given the mosquitos - an issue I'm sure you would have anywhere on the island. The air conditioners in the bedroom were very much appreciated. Overall, I would definitely recommend Villa Zatara.

Rhonda's place felt like a home away from home. Very beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful. It is also very spacious and you will find all the amenities and more. Might I add that I was very surprised how close it was to the beach. My son and I had fun walking to and from the beach. Throughout our stay Rhonda had a great line of communication for all of our needs. Thank you for the great experience. Rhonda's place is certainly the place to stay while you enjoy beautiful St. Lucia.

Excellent location very close to Rodney Bay and the main road for public transportation if you are not driving. Myron was an excellent host and was always just a quick message away. Great value for money considering its proximity to the north of the island. I would definitely return and encourage others to visit

I’ve never, ever had such a warm and effusive welcome. Don and Doris are Super Hosts for a reason. To be shown the locale, have food to help set you up on arrival and be connected to phenomenal people who can arrange to do trips with, just made a well needed holiday on my own even easier to enjoy. Sitting on the balcony at night, beer in hand waiting for the bbq to cook, listening to tree frogs and the ocean, and watching the fire flies was a real nightly pleasure too! I prefer being away from noise and the main town so this location was great for me. A safe 15-20 min walk into Castries was easy so did not use the shuttle, preferring to chat with locals en route. Smiles all round on this beautiful, lush island and tremendous hosts, warm daily welcome home from the puppies and the pussy cat - I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We highly recommend The Stone House! Sabina was a wonderful host, and the house is beautiful and has a wonderful view of Marigot Bay. The setting is very private, especially at the back of the house overlooking the bay where we saw a number of rainbows during our stay. We would definitely stay at The Stone House again! Sabina has a wonderful binder of local attractions and is very open to questions. General tips: - If you choose to drive, rent a 4x4 vehicle - Grocery shop at Massy’s or CPJ’s - Food: Chateau Mygo, The Villa Restaurant, Bernice’s - just west of the bay dock - Area restaurants: The Sea View Renaissance Café just before Anse la Raye - just opened, excellent lunch with nice views. - Things to do: The rum tour of the distillery just to the south of Marigot Bay was brief, but worthwhile. Make a reservation if you want to do a tour of Cocoa St. Lucie’s - it's a lovely shop.

Our stay was absolutely delightful! The property was immaculate, with all the amenities we needed, and the view of the ocean horizon was simply breathtaking. We loved the lushly landscape of the property with mango, avocado and hibiscus trees. The serene location within 15 minutes from Castries made it perfect for relaxation, and the welcoming service from Gero, the cleaning staff, added to the wonderful experience. We truly wished we could have stayed longer! While the access road to the property is a bit challenging (driving very slowly when you are near the vicinity of the property is a must) it’s a minor inconvenience for such an incredible stay. We would happily stay here again next time we visit Saint Lucia and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat near Castries.

I spent a bit over a month at André and Ulrike's place and even after visiting most of the island I can honestly say that I couldnt have picked a best place to stay at. Great quiet location away from the resorts, mangoes everywhere, gorgeous view of rodney bay and pidgeon island, hummingbirds everywhere. They grows lots of fruits on the property, they were always bringing me more, always there to point me in the right direction for any local activities I wanted to go to or anything I could possibly want. i strongly recommend. thank you again for an amazing stay.

We had an absolutely incredible week at this beautiful villa! The location is simply unbeatable – perched perfectly between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, offering breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility that’s hard to find anywhere else. The privacy of the villa made it feel like a true escape, and waking up to the sound of the waves was a dream come true. One thing to note is that the road leading up to the villa is quite steep and bumpy. While it adds to the adventure, it might be worth considering a community effort to pitch in and improve the condition of the road. This would not only enhance the experience for guests but also benefit the locals and the surrounding community. Overall, this villa is a gem, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene getaway. Don’t hesitate to book – you won’t regret it!

Amazing accommodation! Robert was great from day one. Quick communication and very welcoming. This was the perfect, clean, comfortable spot for our group of 9 as we prepared for our passage north. We were able to dock our 46ft sailboat in the slip in front of the apartment. Highly recommended!

I will definitely stay here again anytime I am in St Lucia. The photos and video doesn't do this place justice it is absolutely gorgeous in a great neighborhood. Pros *Host was very receptive and accommodating *House had so many rooms that my group didn't even step into *Felt right at home, host left basic cooking ingredients, water and snacks for us ( I truly appreciated this) *Close to everything you need (liming spots, groceries, beaches, the airport, carnival bands and parties) *Area is peaceful with great views Cons *road to get in and out was a little steep and a part of it not properly paved *wish the living room area had a AC unit, St Lucia is really hot *stayed for a week and hoped there was a garbage pick up at some point

Sabine and Keith are great hosts. They send us a taxi to pick us up in the middle of the night from the ferry and Sabine waited for us when we arrived! They also arranged the rental car to be delivered to the villa on the next morning. Our wonderful experience on the island was to great exted due their help, which was well above and beyond the expected!! Thank you very much Keith and Sabine.

This place was great! I >definitely< recommend having a car, as everything is a drive away (insider tip: rent a Jimny from Islander Cars! Perfect vehicle for getting around the island). That being said, there are many things within a 15 minute drive or so, so good central location that is the perfect amount of off-the-beaten-path. The pool here is really nice and right outside the unit. Nice to have some usable outdoor space (both on the pool deck and the back patio). 1 minute walk to the beach - not for swimming, but GREAT sunrises. Great home base if you are up north to play golf. Would recommend!

We had a great stay. The villa was clean, and just as it was described. The location was easy to walk into town for groceries and restaurants. We enjoyed spending time on the patio and the view was amazing. Pool was great! Jason helped set up transportation and was attentive to any help we needed while there for the week.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The location was the perfect balance between being close to shops and restaurants but being in a quiet street away from the tourist hotels. The place was very spacious with 3 BR and 2 baths. Very nice pool to relax in after a day of touring. A bonus- the place is wired for both 120 volts used in North America and 240 volts used in the UK. This place was worth every penny and we recommend it to everyone.
