"D" Cabin on the Lake was a little treasure! We stayed here with 4 boys (ages 7-15) and one dog and all of us went to bed exhausted and thoroughly happy every day! From the great fishing (an assortment of bass, catfish, and bluegills), to boating, to paddle boarding (the river is a short trip down the channel), to just sitting and enjoying the afternoon it was fantastic. The cabin looks small but even with 6 people we never felt cramped or crowded preparing and eating meals, watching a movie, or just relaxing in bed. We had a great weekend and will be back!

We booked the Whitetail cabin for a girls weekend and had a great time! This was my first time staying at an actual campground & I would definitely return. The cabin and facilities were very clean, and Alanya was super helpful leaving our cabin instructions when we were running late due to traffic. I did not realize the bathrooms were communal, but that’s my fault for misreading the listing, so just keep that in mind when booking, but it was not an issue for us, and the bathrooms were very clean and easy to get to. Check out was a breeze as well. Overall, this was a beautiful and well-maintained campground and we will be back.

Beautiful and peaceful location. Close to Inks Lake State Park, Kingsland, and the Perissos Winery. Great place for kids and dogs.

We loved staying here so much. The decor was very thoughtfully done and gave us some inspiration even! Not a negative, but the pictures don't do the space justice. It has several very open and inviting lounge areas that just can't be conveyed realistically on camera. We would absolutely recommend your house for friends.

We rented this cabin on the fly (literally) my husband and I were looking for quick getaways for a much needed vacation and time away from the norm and it was my bday weekend as well. We had never heard of Burton, TX or Log Country Cabins and are both Texas natives but we are so glad that we came across it on our search and decided to give it a try. The cabin itself was just as described and looked like the photos online and the location of the cabin was amazing. The views were amazing, access to the lake and creek for fishing was just steps away from the cabin and the common area and peaceful park were just steps away too. The weather was perfect and it was not peak season so it also felt secluded and private and not too crowded which is what we were looking for! We had an amazing time disconnecting from the everyday and re connecting with each other! We enjoyed every bit of it & will be returning soon!!

The place was very cozy. Very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was great as well as the hammock. Cows and goats came right to the property line and were very friendly. Highly recommend!

Judy is the ultimate host—friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring for her guests. She goes above and beyond, offering a full walk-through of the property upon arrival, providing special cards and treats for celebrations, and even offering golf cart rides to the lake, which is a bit of a distance from the house. The cabin is small but cozy and tastefully decorated, with a single bathroom, a pool table that kept the kids entertained, and very comfortable beds. It’s an ideal spot for families looking to spend quality time together!

Beautiful home and peaceful area. Comfortable beds and very clean. We enjoyed the pool table, the hot tub and the beautiful stars to see when you leave the city lights! Lots of deer in the neighborhood and it was nice having some dining options nearby (compared to Lake Buchanan where we have stayed). We didn’t venture out on the 1 person kayak or the paddle boards like we intended to- guess we will have to come back for that! I would like to note for others, the kitchen is upstairs with the primary bedroom and bathroom. Interesting floor plan, but worked out just fine for our family of 8! Brooke was super helpful and responsive! Would definitely stay here again!

I have no words to express but it was amazingly beautiful and peaceful place. The Mountain View’s was the best and if you’re really looking for a relaxing & peace weekend this is your best choice ! Especially if you are bringing your fur babies they have a dog park for them love that ! I highly recommend and definitely will be coming back !

The cabin was wonderful! Very quiet neighborhood in a convenient location near the main town center of Kingsland. The cabin was large, clean, and comfortable with a ton of lovely touches from the host. For all pup owners, there is a large yard which is only partially fenced in. That being said, our doggo thoroughly enjoyed the yard, but only with our supervision. Something to keep in mind if you have dogs that like to roam or spend a lot of time outside.

We loved staying at this beautiful home! We loved that this home had amazing views and large windows where you can pull up one of the cozy yellow chairs and look out with window with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. This place was great for 3 young kids. They loved exploring the property and watching the deer come through the yard. Neil was a very responsive and friendly host. We had a really lovely stay at the house. So peaceful and quiet, and lots of space to walk around with our dog. Loved being able to see so many stars at night. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here one night for a quick business trip we had to go on, everything was perfect and bed was very comfortable. I look forward to staying here again in the future when I can have more time to enjoy the river and all the outdoor amenities! Laura was super friendly and an excellent host!

This was a last minute booking for mother’s day weekend. Well, it did not disappoint! Communication with the host was exceptional. She was flexible with our checkin, and upon our arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile. The cabin was super cute and my family took advantage of using the canoe onsite. We ended the evening with a bbq and roasting marshmallows. We had everything we needed. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is it. Pet friendly and great for a family. Definitely plan to return.

The cabin is exactly as described and what we were looking for. It is very quiet and very clean. Vivian and Mike have been communicating very clearly and quickly. Now we need 2 years worth of rain for the water level in the lake to get back and make the place even nicer!

This was our second visit to this incredible place. This time we stayed in the “El corazon” cabin. I want to highlight that the place was super clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. The common kitchen has everything and more. It is an excellent opportunity to socialize.

Rugged, peaceful, natural beauty at its finest is found at Thunderbird Lodge Cabin 21. In being tucked away at the end of the park this cabin offers a majestic multi-tiered view of the surrounding mountain ridgeline. We happened to visit in springtime, and the flowers and their accompanying butterflies are simply stunning this time of year! A massive swath of bluebonnets lines their swamp-like fingerling of Lake Buchanan and there is a plentiful variety of wildflowers throughout the area. My hubby, our two dogs, and I really enjoyed climbing Spider Mountain's challenging Eagle Hiking Trail and experiencing it all from a different perspective on the way down. The interior of cabin is lovely and oh-so spacious! Everything we needed was provided for us. I was most enamored with the porch's engraved wooden table, and the cabin overall feels comfortable and homey. The Lodge's staff are kind and easy to work with.
