Barn vacation rentals in Gironde

Lovely classic French gite. Communication was very good and we were met upon arrival. Kitchen was very well equipped. We went swimming in the river at Bonnes (about 3km away) which was glorious!! Local towns of Aubeterre and Riberac were lovely to visit with shops/banks/etc. Would rebook.

Peaceful, quiet out of the way, rural. Kitchen well equipped. Nice bottle of wine and welcome note. Lying in bed lovely to see the sky, only saw the stars one night! Great being able to put the wood burner on because we had one cold night. Place is bigger than the photos betray. Good for a family, lots of bathrooms. Would recommend to others. Thanks.

Impeccable cottage, no complaints, beautiful warm architecture and peaceful location while being very central to explore the area. A flawless welcome and discreet for Yves. I highly recommend it and will gladly come back.

Amazing accommodation, with a stunning view and large pool. The gite was very well equipped and spacious. Jeremie was fantastic when we arrived and throughout with local recommendations and general helpful. Would definitely recommend here and would love to come back.

Charming spacious accommodation tastefully decorated in the Saintonge countryside. The cottage is quite suitable for small children (crib, changing table, high chair etc.) and very functional for adults. Very well located for discovering the Gironde estuary, to be recommended!

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). Super nice accommodation, peaceful , quiet and above all remote from everything! The two houses of the cottage are very well maintained , with the necessary amenities! Dawn welcomed us as he should be with a very respectful and friendly approach! The exteriors are clean and there are plenty of spaces to be able to play with children as well as adults (ping pong area, foosball , badminton, pétanque, swing ) I would recommend this place as a family!

We had the privilege of spending a beautiful autumn week here at Maison Guillaume Blanc. Our wonderful hosts, Tim and Sarah made our stay truly special. The Goat House was a cosy retreat where we could relax and unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the charming surroundings at our own pace. Leila and Craig are the nicest hosts I have met. They respond fast and are there for you to gave a good time. We also did a wine tasting which was amazing. They are so passionate and take the time to give you a great experience. The airbnb was a lovely little Gite with enough space for two. Everything is nice and clean and from the gite you have a nice view over the france hills. It is even possible to enjoy the view from the hot tub. To conclude, we had a lovely time and recommend the Gite from Leila and Craig!

The renovation of this former farmhouse was done with great taste. The house is perfect for a gathering like ours (cousinade) with its many bedrooms and sleeping arrangements, and has a superb exterior. The kids loved the dorm! The fact that each room has a bathroom is very appreciable, especially in our configuration, with so many families. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. Van was very attentive and warm during our stay and the person who welcomed us on site with care. Thanks to them 2, thanks to them our cousinade was a great success! We will be happy to come back, this time longer and on sunny days to enjoy the pool!

A wonderful host, available and very kind. The house was very clean, very well equipped, very cocooning. The king size bed was very cozy. The garden is very nice with shadows and well flowered. The outdoor equipment is perfect, with tables, sunbeds, barbecue. The environment is very calm and very lovely. I highly recommend your stay at Mary's place and would definitely stay again! Had the best few days here with family and friends all the way from Australia. Was the perfect house for three separate families. Host Dan and manager Arran were lovely and responsive. House is huge but still felt cosy. Thank you for a memorable few days for us. ❤️

We loved our stay! Lots of space to spread out and enjoy the different areas. The swings in the kitchen were a hit with our kids, and we adults enjoyed the hot tub. It’s a great location for getting away from busy touristy areas but still being close to places like Lascaux, Saint Emilion, and even a short drive to Cap Ferret.

We had a great week at Nathalie's! Comfortable house, very well equipped and very conveniently located. Beaches as well as restaurants and large supermarket are not far (10-minute drive). WOW!! Just returned from a week at James & Eileen’s villa in Bourg to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary . There were 14 of us- 9 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 children. All info provided prior to arrival by the hosts and the house mgt team (James, Lisa and Joe) was 5*! The check in/out & on hand support during our stay was absolutely flawless . This villa is stunning - more impressive than the photos! Bourg is a beautiful rural village and the villa was extremely spacious - perfect for family gatherings, beautifully decorated and felt sumptuous. Ambiance laid on for ourarrival& amenities for guests are unlike other private villas on offer for a party of our size .Felt immediately like a home from home.Pool was immaculate, all bedrooms beautifully furnished and living/lounge/cooking areas were of such a high standard. Villa in a superb location for exploring the vineyards. Recommend renting bikes to explore, enjoy BBQs at the villa, markets&citadel in Blaye. BOOK

A perfect stay at Cassandra's! We were 2 couples, and 4 children aged 4 and 1. The accommodation was beyond our expectations: the magnificent barn, kitchen with all the necessary amenities for the week, excellent bedding, large garden with shaded corners at all hours, superb terrace that stays cool all day, tons of children's games both inside and out.. the surroundings are very peaceful, and special mention for the superb beach on the Dordogne, shade all day and perfectly suitable for children. Go there without so much as a second thought! Thank you Cassandra for hosting us!
