Vacation rentals in Gawthwaite

We had a lovely short break. The barn was very comfortable and like a home from home, lots of space and perfect for our family and dog. Welcome basket was a nice touch and there was a great selection of games and books for our children to use.

We had a wonderful time staying in the magical yurt nestled in the woodland! It was exactly what we needed, a peaceful, restful, comfortable stay in nature. Andri is an incredible host, super friendly and has great recommendations for the area. We felt incredibly welcome on her beautiful permaculture farm and loved hanging out with the friendly chickens and family dog. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed. If you love nature and are craving comfort I highly recommend Howdy glamping!

A great cottage in a lovely location. Beautiful river views just around the corner. Everything as described. Utensils for cooking and eating, rooms clean and warm. Easy access to great locations in the Lake District. Host responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and planning our next visit already.

Lovely accommodation. Great view. Spotlessly clean. Everything needed was provided for a relaxing stay by the sea. Perfect location. My dog was very happy with the green space and fresh air. Plenty of room. Full size kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay here. I would say it might be difficult to find in the dark but the map in the car park is straightforward. It was good to have facilities on site. Unfortunately I felt unwell so couldn't use the pool as planned. The stair is quite steep for an elderly person but there is a handrail. My 94 year old mum managed. She found it hard to get used to the bedrooms/bathrooms being downstairs! The kitchen is very well equipped and everything was spotless. Blankets for the evening were appreciated. TV is ginormous! It was very quiet and peaceful and the outdoor space was lovely when the rain abated. We only went to the farm shop down the road when we checked out but it is v impressive. Kevin is a communicative and helpful host.

the apartment was amazing! spacious and warm and everything was exactly what you'd need for a good weekend relax! Honestly if that kind of place was for sale I would definitely try and buy it ha!

Fantastic located farm surrounded by spectacular view. Excellent for walking and running. Fairly close to supermarket and pubs. Lots of space 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are all in good sizes. Extra playroom brings the kids a lot of laughter. House is fully equipped. Great stay!

Tranquil setting, lovely apartment and a great base to explore the area from on foot, bike and quick drive to lots of amazing hikes.
