Vacation rentals in Garrigill

Nice secluded place suit couples or families who like a particularly rural area since it is some distance to anywhere other than the local town, which on my visit (winter) was fairly quiet. If you enjoy driving along interesting country lanes you will enjoy.

My first AirBnB and what a place. So friendly and welcoming and access to maps and local places to see and amazong to see the wildlife wspecially red squirrels. Brian gave me some lovely places to walk and all in all it was great. Well stocked kitchen, very comfortable and the access to the garden for the dogs was fab. Will def go back

Sarah sent us accurate location and was there to meet us. The bunkhouse was as described and we felt welcome and immediately at home.... and plan to ask to stay again. The kitchen had good facilities and Sarah had left us eggs from her chickens who run around the garden. There was plenty of hot water and additional heating if we wanted it. The TV had a large choice of channels. There are plenty of walks on the nearby moor and a pleasant village shop a short walk away. We felt relaxed and at home during our stay here.

Warm and cozy cottage. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect if you’re looking for somewhere tucked away and serene.

Fantastic stay at The Byre. It was exactly what we needed. We have had a lovely cosy few days away and will definitely be back in the future. The steak at the local pub was first class, and the village bakery is a must visit. The property has everything you will need.

Found Alisons place very homely & comfortable. Great little kitchen with everything you could need. Nice gesture of fresh milk, juice, cereal, butter & marmalade. We brought our dog with us, there were plenty of places to walk with him. Alison was very responsive to our emails & helpful. Parking straight outside property. Little shop next door. Great location & not a long drive to the Lakes & other sights. Would recommend & definitely use again. Thankyou.

We had a wonderful time in Alston, it's a really friendly town surrounded by breathtaking countryside. The cottage is lovely, very well equipped and decorated to a high standard, with great walks from the door (and some nice pubs to stop into on the way home); we particularly enjoyed our evenings snuggled in front of the fire. As keen walkers with an enthusiastic labrador pup / otter, some highlights were Cow Green Reservoir / Cauldron Snout, Allendale Banks and Staward Gorge, Slit Woods and Issac Tea Trail (we did the stretch from Alston towards Nenthall). We would also recommend finishing a walk with the tasty olives, warm bread and balsamic vinegar on offer at Alston House. The local Spar is very well stocked, convenient for petrol and has a good butcher and deli counter. Thank you Kay and Jon for a lovely stay!

Lowmoss is a stunning cottage in a stunning location. We were looking for absolute peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got. Despite its remoteness, the cottage always felt cosy, warm and welcoming. We loved our short break and would love to return.
