Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Gangtok

If you are looking for a place to put up away from the hustle and bustle of Gangtok city , yet not too far, then this is the place, "Nest in Garden". Weighing out few other options i had chosen this place for a family vacation in the 3rd week of Dec 2019, and i must say, i did the right thing. Property is clean,amenities are good, and as described in Airbnb portal, rooms are thoughtfully curated with the right kind of furniture, not overdone but certainly portrays taste of the owner, a full functional kitchen and most importantly the whole property is augmented with a beautiful and well maintained terrace garden consisting of carefully chosen flora, which adds up to the ambiance and sets the mood of the vacation. Me and my family spent majority of the time in this terrace garden, having comfy sitting arrangement. MG Marg is 10 mts away from this place, one can get a taxi ( Rs 20 /person ), other enthusiast can walk down.Things of daily needs are all available right outside the property, hence very strategically located. What made our stay special was something else, the warmth and hospitality of Dr. OT and Ms Mamta, they are awesome hosts, they went out of the way to sense and fulfill our untold needs, wonderful gestures of kindness and support. What i could make out is that Dr O T is a doctor by profession, a host by passion and true gentleman. Thank you Dr O T for the quality time that we spent with you and Mamta mam ( must say will always remember the evening campfire which certainly did spread other energy apart from heat :) ). Lastly but not the least, thanks to the extended family of Dr O T, Pasangkit and Purva who were instrumental in making sure, things were perfect during our stay. Will recommend this place for everyone, and will visit again.

We loved our stay at Anu’s place. It’s extremely well located as it is close to the share taxi stand that takes you towards the city as well as the one to get to Nathula pass. It is also privately located and very cozy! But the best part of the stay was Anu as a host- very friendly, quick to respond, proactive and extremely helpful when it came to planning out things to do. Highly recommend!

The homestay was on main road and we didn't found any difficulty while reaching the place.The place was very calm and peaceful. It had a good view from windows.The rooms and washroom were very spacious and clean.There was enough furniture in the room. Tashi was a great host and always reachable.He also arranged an experienced driver for our whole trip for gangtok and pelling.You can also ask him for Rinchen Bhai if you are looking for sight seeing. My family liked the place very much. So I would definitely recommend this place for everyone.

It's a nice homestay, room was clean, well kept and maintained. The host Mr. and Mrs. Kumar are simple, sweet and very welcoming to their guests. Recommended if you are looking for a room to stay in the city.

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

Kessang is a fantastic chef! Every meal was DELICIOUS and thoughtfully prepared. The millet soup especially stole my heart. An enthusiastic trekker, he also led me through the dense forests around the area, crossing villages consisting of a few houses and tranquil landscapes. He also arranged a driver for me to visit the historic Kabi-Lungchok and all the ancient monasteries in the area, and accompanied me there, telling me as much as he could about Lepcha history, Buddhist thangka’s and rituals. An extra thanks for the warm mugs of chhi after the long days. :D I highly recommend this old and cozy cottage to anyone who plans a trip to sikkim.

Tenzing is an excellent host. He was extremely helpful, humble and made our stay in Sikkim a memorable experience. His residence is located at a walking distance from MG Marg and was super amazing and total value for money. He connected us with an exceptional travel agency which was again really helpful.

Nannu is a friendly host. It’s worthy to mention that she was very cooperative and supportive. We felt like home while staying with mouth watering food. The house is well decorated with local touch. The place is in bit inside, however it’s easy to access. MG market is very accessible.Overall, our stay was very peaceful, it’s a home away from home!

We had really good 5 days at Angila’s homestay. The place is cleaner, near to Enchey Monastery and MG Marg(so you could stroll around), and at a beautiful location. They have a cafe too. We tried almost everything from the menu and it was all delicious. The host and the entire family is really amiable and helpful. We highly recommend this place for stay in Gangtok.

super host. no words to describe his hospitality. super clean rooms. complimentary breakfast, clean bathroom. kitchen is available for those who cook. Jimmy is super friendly and helped us prepare our entire North Sikkim tour itinerary. worth every penny and it's located just 5 mins from mg Marg so you have access to all the good food joints and shopping places.

I recently had a wonderful two-day stay at this charming place. Simon was responsive and attentive, making us feel right at home. The well-maintained space was spotless and inviting. I appreciated the comfortable amenities and the host's helpful recommendations. Can't recommend this place enough!

The place is AWSOME! Ashish is a great host and always available on call, so is Milan, the caretaker of the place. The place is tidy and really well decorated. It's a 10 mins walk from MG Marg and their are several food joints available around. Even the ropeway is a short walk down the hill. Ashish gives really nice recommendations for good food and shopping places. Overall this place is a perfect place to feel at home away from home! Thank you for being a great host! 😊

I stayed at this homestay for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. The view from the balcony is simply breathtaking, and the hospitality of the people here is heartwarming. The food is a standout feature—organic and delicious. However, I did encounter a few minor issues. The common bathroom can be a bit inconvenient, and the charger jack is located quite low on the wall. It would be much more convenient if it were placed beside the bed for easier access. Additionally, there are extra charges for using the kitchen, which I believe should be clearly mentioned in the instructions provided to guests. Despite these small issues, everything else was great. I would highly recommend this homestay for its beautiful views, warm hospitality, and excellent food.
