Villa vacation rentals in Frigiliana

A fantastic week spent with friends at Casa de la Cuesta. An incredible view from the Villa and beautiful pool. Frigiliana is such an incredible village as well. There were a couple of things we felt let down by, however. Upon arriving a full 1.5 hours after check in, cleaning staff were still present. Also, we lost wifi access 3 days prior to departure and there was no real effort made to restore the connection. This was especially inconvenient as our entire party was from Canada and not everyone had mobile internet access. All in all, we had a lovely time and would visit again.

Villa los Pinos was great in one word! Highly recommended for everyone! The view was super nice, everything was clean, pool was lovely. Everything was good! We arrived with a power outage in Spain. Robert and Inge have gone out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. Candles, extra flashlight and enough water had been thought of.

Stunning villa tucked away in the hills of the Sierra Nevada, Southern Spain, offering magical views and total tranquility for a family get together. Outdoor areas are particularly nice. Located off the beaten track in a rural, non-touristy area high on a ridge surrounded by olive trees and citrus orchards, yet reasonably close to beautiful beaches and tourist attractions.

A great villa with plenty of space and a lot of options to enjoy the view. When we checked in, we found everything in top condition. Whether pool, outdoor area, toilet or kitchen, nothing showed any defects. The villa itself is a bit far from Torrox, and the road (as indicated in the description) can be relatively challenging for inexperienced drivers, but you will be rewarded every morning with a breathtaking view of Frigiliana and Nerja. The house is ideal for people who are looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation for their vacation. Shopping facilities and gas stations can also be perfectly combined with smaller excursions, as you pass them more or less directly. Highly recommended by me 👍

A beautiful villa on even more impressive grounds. The house, garden and pool are in great condition and well kept. The host allowed us an early check in and late check out which was highly appreciated. It was due to no visitors coming the day we left so of course it couldn’t be done always but was nice that he volunteered us that option. Gave loads of great recommendations for local restaurants in both Nerja and Frigiliana (a gorgeous town just 5 mins drive away). Would highly recommend.

What a beautiful villa and breathtaking setting! Visiting from Canada in mid-April it was a treat to experience what for us was late spring weather in mid-April. Georgina was wonderful hostess. We really enjoyed the delicious meal she and Steve prepared for us on our first night (highly recommended after a travel day). It was not far to drive into Cómpeta but just be aware that the mountain roads are not for the faint of heart. Plan to spend most of your time at the Villa relaxing or walking the road to see the incredible vistas. We made one trip into Nerja for the caves and lunch. I would not recommend driving the mountain roads at night, at least not until you are somewhat familiar with them. Thanks to Gabriele for opening her home to us for a memorable holiday! I hope we can come again someday.

After arriving in Malaga we found our original villa had been double booked (not a Rem property or via Airbnb) and 10 of us left without anywhere to stay! Got straight on Airbnb and REM’s listing popped up, messaged to ask about availability and someone replied immediately. Within an hour we had booked, been given all the relevant details and booked a taxi to take us to the villa. On arrival we were blown away by the beautiful views and the fantastic villa. We all agreed that actually this villa made our holiday. It’s perfect surroundings meant we spent a little more time at the villa than we’d planned because it was just so beautiful. Thank you REM’s for saving a special birthday and for the constant communication to check everything was ok. I’ve now saved all the details and will definitely be booking again.

We wanted somewhere to stay for a few days as a family, children, grandchildren. We liked the look of Villa Sur & weren't at all disappointed. The villa was spacious & full of light, offering all the amenities we wanted. It was comfortable, private & set in beautiful surroundings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There are many places to visit not too far away, which we did, but the best was just chilling in the house. We would definitely recommend & hope to one day be able to revisit.

This location was beautiful. Estefania was an incredible host. The villa is perfect for a group of six. Estefania had strong recommendations. The pool area is beautiful. The disco bar is cool. The beds were comfortable. Location in Benalmádena is right in the center, easy access to Malaga, Torremolinos, as well as Marbella. Ubers were easy to get to all of our destinations. Estefania was also able to get us an assortment of wines and Spanish tapas upon our request. We had a great experience and can’t wait to go back.

Overall a very nice apartment, you quickly felt comfortable and had plenty of space. The only drawback: The cleanliness did not quite meet our expectations/standards, as you still saw some impressions here and there, for example in the kitchen.

Absolutely incredible stay! The villa was even more beautiful than the photos—spacious, spotless, and perfectly located. Waking up to panoramic sea views every morning was a dream. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing, and the host was welcoming and responsive. Alvaro was amazing, very friendly, helpful and made us feel right at home. A peaceful retreat just minutes from Málaga’s charm. Highly recommend!

A truly stunning find! George & friend Javier were wonderful hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with truly amazing warmth and hospitality. The villa is immaculate and a unique experience. Fitted out with a very high level of modern luxury: salt water pool, outdoor dining, balcony , sunbathing areas, cutting edge kitchen - all tastefully designed & hand-picked furniture creating many wonderful spaces to relax and entertain. We comfortably slept 6 people with room for two more. The location is only a ten minute walk to main Torremolinos which now has many fantastic beaches, restaurants & nightlife to explore. I cannot recommend this property highly enough - our best experience on Airbnb. All the best. Steven & Fiona

This was a lovely house set in a smart residential area about 20 minutes by car/bus outside Malaga. It’s on 3 floors so our family of 4 adults and 2 kids had plenty of space. Bedrooms were clean and modern with great views from the balconies but would have benefited from wall mirrors. Bathrooms clean and spacious. The kids found their bedroom desks very useful! Downstairs there was a large family kitchen with plenty of utensils and a lovely lounge. We used the great outside space a lot for eating and sunbathing next to the pool. Dishwasher proved very useful as did the washing machine. One word of caution-from the seafront it is quite a steep climb to the house up 2 hills plus the house itself has steep steps up to the entrance so probably unsuitable for those with mobility issues.

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The accommodation is sumptuous, with all the necessary amenities. The location is perfect and the setting is really beautiful. The only small downside is that the pool water is not heated so we could not swim during our stay (April). Recommended +++

we had a wonderful stay at this holiday home the place was clean comfortable and well located the hosts were friendly and accommodating and everything was just as described ( few issues I mention it ) otherwise it was great experience and we'd happily come back. Thank you Tim.

A truly amazing place. We came as a family with our 6 month old daughter and this place truly was fantastic. Really responsive host and everything very clear. Location is very private, there is a bit of noise from the construction work going on around the area, didn’t bother us too much apart from one morning where it was a tad loud, just something to bear in mind if you’re super sensitive to noise but otherwise not a major issue. The villa was incredibly clean and the pictures really so not do it justice. On arrival, the hosts had left two bottles of fizz and some other necessities, really nice touch. Some lovely walks close by (very hilly) and you can walk to the beach where there are restaurants in around 10/15 mins on the way down (much longer up the hill coming back up). Overall, this place is absolutely stunning and we will hopefully be back in the future.

This place is a unique piece of art. A documentary of the owner. An authentic pearl full of life in the campo of Andalusia. Self made art made us feel so inspired and alive. We love this house which is created with so much love and details. As the house is named Fuente Conejo we were wondering if we would see a Conejo (rabbit) and yes we dit! It was a sign. We wish to come back. It is a true gem and we recommend it to all our friends and family to visit this house and enjoy the tranquility and art on the hills just outside Frigliana. We made a hike to Frigliana and were amazed of the stunning views and lush flowers alongside the winding road. It’s worth the walk. We hope and wish to come back!

The house was perfect, in a stunning location with everything that we needed. The pool area was a great place to chill. I loved listening to the birds in the mornings and the goats' bells in the evenings as they were moved around the mountainside. 8 days of sunshine and 1 day of thunder and lightning which we watched from the terrace. Best place to eat in Alcausin that we found was Ziggy's street food bar at the back of the curry house. We went to a few gypsy markets in surrounding towns but they're all selling the same stuff. The restaurants were a bit disappointing but maybe we were just unlucky with our choices. Most disappointing day out was to Nerja, about an hour away. Far too many tourists there and the staff in the overpriced restaurants were totally uncaring, again maybe we were unlucky in our choices. If you're looking for a lovely house in an idyllic location in the mountains you won't be disappointed with El Lucero. Thanks to Maria Jose and Co., we loved it.

We had a lovely week long stay in Gonzalo's house. Wish it could have been longer! The property is set on a hillside, so the view across the valley to the sea was spectacular and we never tired looking at it! The good size pool was away from the house, so very private and peaceful. The garden was colourful and well maintained. Gonzalo was there to meet us and immediately very friendly and helpful. Before our arrival he supplied a few extra sun loungers which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend if you want a quiet spot, only ten minutes by car to beautiful Frigiliana and also accessible to the sea and nightlife, within a twenty-five minute drive. An ideal spot, go ahead and book, we would not hesitate if we were to visit the area again!

I want to write an honest review, but I feel more people will want to stay at Casa Lizar if I do! We (me, husband, 22 yr old son and his girlfriend) absolutely loved everything about this house. The house itself is exceptional with everything you need for a home from home holiday. The pool area and the different areas offer everything from sun spots, breezy shade to beautiful sunsets. The surroundings are breathtaking with exceptional views of the Sierra. It’s a walk into the old town, about 15 minutes down a winding country path - a bit trickier if you’re not as mobile and it’s obviously harder mid day, but don’t let that put you off. Frigiliana itself is stunning, steeped in history and beauty. There are an abundance of restaurants to enjoy and the people are friendly and welcoming. The best supermarket we found with great prices is Eroski. All in all this is one of the nicest pleases we’ve stayed and I would recommend 100%. Thank you Casa Lizar

Beautiful place ! Highly recommanded

A Beautiful villa where we spent most of our time on holiday. Close to towns so plenty to do. The villa was clean, tidy and perfectly laid out for family living. The pool table,ping pong table and pool were perfect activities for kids while we sunbathed! The outside bbq was lovely in the evenings overlooking the sea. We will definitely be back to stay!
