Vacation rentals in French Island

Celia was a wonderfully warm, friendly host. We had dinner at Celia's Saturday night and the steaks were delicious! Breakfast on Monday morning was equally scrumptious - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and more! What was most delightful about our stay was being able to spend some time with Celia as she educated us about the fascinating uniqueness of French Island; we learned about the feral cat eradication program, the best spots to find koalas, locations for hikes, etc. If you want to truly 'escape' Melbourne and find some isolation and peace for a few days, French Island is such a place, and Celia's Mandalay Park cottages are delightful. We will definitely be returning!

Although the weather turned bad, the accommodation was excellent and relaxing. It’s THE place to get away from it all!

The house was absolutely beautiful and amazing! It’s incredibly spacious, well-equipped, and offers a stunning view that makes the stay even more memorable. Ruxandra was an exceptional host—super responsive, welcoming, and always helpful. While there were some limitations with the hot tub usage times and the gas supply to the house, Ruxandra went above and beyond to accommodate us. She was proactive in taking accountability and ensured all our needs were met, which made our experience seamless. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place or return in the future!

A nice, beautiful and quiet place to stay. The location of the house was very convenient for my family and I. There's a Jetty close by within walking distance where you can go fishing or catch the ferry. Not much reception and the wifi wasn't working well, kept cutting out. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, despite the wifi.

We had an amazing stay at this holiday house! The location is unbeatable, with just a short walk to what feels like your own private beach—truly breathtaking. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to cook meals, and the pantry had everything we needed in terms of appliances, spices and condiments. It was also a lovely surprise to find amenities at the home for our dogs, which made the stay even more special. The house itself is spacious and perfect for relaxing or spending quality time with a group of friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, beachside getaway!

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the check-in process was seamless. However, I realized that my expectations were a bit higher based on the photos. The house is a cozy, well-maintained space with all the essential amenities needed for a comfortable stay. While it may be smaller than I initially anticipated, it is still a pleasant and functional place to relax. One of the highlights is its proximity to several beautiful beaches, all within an 800-900 meter radius, making it a great option for those looking to explore the coastline.
