“Peace on the Pungo was absolutely perfect. It is off the beaten path and almost totally surrounded by beautiful water views. The pictures that Brianna has posted on the listing are spot on. The whole house is just as charming as it looks! The best part was how willing Brianna and her family were to help out in any situation. There were plenty of places to launch a boat, swim, fish, and just sit in the sun and enjoy the view. We witnessed an amazing sunset over the river while we were there. The beds were comfy and the house is stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. Take Brianna's advice and bring plenty of groceries. The nearest town is not just down the road, but that is another thing we loved about Peace on the Pungo. We never wanted to leave!”

“Perfect little getaway spot. An hour from Nag’s Head if you want to get to the beach, but full of its own lovely solitude if you’re looking for that. The house was very comfortable and the kitchen had a good selection of spices and culinary necessities for those who cook. Spacious backyard for dogs to run around. Great Wii and PlayStation setup for kids. Would definitely come back here ❣️”

“Debbie and her husband are two of the most humble people you will ever meet. The place is spotless upon your arrival and you really feel at home. Engalhard is a very tight nit community, and is by far one of the greatest communities I have ever visited. I was down by myself and had boat issues and debbie and her husband stopped what they were doing and helped me for hours to get the boat back running! Debbie and her family live their live through christ and clearly show it in every step they take. They would be more than happy to have you stay in their home. I was so very pleased with the owners, home, area, and pure hospitality that I was given. Please, if your in the area, choose to stay with them. You will not regret it!!!”
