Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Eyjafjörður

We had a great 3 day stay at Sveinns place in Akureyri and used it as a base camp for daytrips in the area/region. We were 3 adults and found the place spacious and clean with comfortable beds and large bathroom. Large kitchen with all the things we needed for our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood 5-8 min driving from downtown Akureyri. There are grocery stores not so far from the house. We can strongly recommend this place.

Lovely relaxed stay. Had everything our group of six needed. Loved cooking in the kitchen. Beds were great and the bathroom exquisite.

The place was beautiful and the view from the place was even better. Couldn’t recommend enough, we loved our stay! The valley helped with cloud coverage and we were able to see the northern lights from our hot tub!

We had a very nice vacation thanks in part to this beautiful accommodation. It is a little remote from Akureyri; which can also be seen clearly on the map. But with a rental car you can be in the city center within 10 minutes and you can go anywhere. We would definitely recommend this nice place to others!

The house is a fabulous base from which to explore Akureyri and the local area. You need a car. The outlook over Akureyi is absolutely stunning and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights from there.

Beautiful cabin on a mountainside. The decor was just as beautiful as the view. The hot tub was a treat and even better to have bathrobes and slippers provided. We were pleasantly surprised that the couch was already made up into a bed for our kids - nice to not have to worry about that when we first arrived. We did arrive during a snowstorm and the driveway was a bit tricky for the top unit. Definitely be sure you have a 4WD vehicle. And pay attention to the road conditions - we had quite a treacherous drive to the cabin. If we had known how bad it would be a couple days earlier, we would have cancelled and stayed south so be sure you check weather conditions regularly.

Peaceful homely environment

One of the best guesthouses of our trip. Warm welcome with visit of the house by the hosts. The guesthouse is large and pleasant with carefully decorated themed rooms. The beds are very large and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and overlooks a terrace with hot tub. There are two fridges for guests with storage boxes depending on the bedrooms. It feels like home in this guesthouse 🙂

An amazing place to stay, very authentic and with everything you need. The equipment is excellent and has special touches. I definitely recommend it and more if you're traveling as a family. The Jacuzzi is awesome. There's a store nearby to buy basic groceries. Madara was an excellent host, she helped me from the start and was always attentive, providing recommendations and directions.

Very nice and tidy accomodation, excellent to make daytrips to Myvatn or Husavik. Bathroom is a bit small. The family helped us with the hot pot that was quite nice.

We had a wonderful holiday at Sara's house. The house is warm, cosy and spacious, and the view and surroundings are spectacular. Sara was very communicative and helpful throughout.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The area was beautiful and not too far away from some great waterfalls and lovely walks. Our host were very responsive and had some great ideas and recommendations. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cottage!

Beautiful modern space that made us feel right at home. We loved that everything came with the place (towels, bags for wet swimsuits, car charging station, hot tub, etc.) Response time was immediate and super quick.

After we had been looking forward to staying in Heiðas cabin for so long, we just fell in love with it even more from the very moment we arrived. What a gem <3 Aparts from being perfectly clean and well-equipped, the cabin simply just spread such charme and warmth that it was the best possible place we could have returned to after long days of exploration and adventure.
