Our beautiful, minimalist Tiny House is a comfortable home base for tourists and business travelers. For leisure you are minutes from Lady Bird Lake and in the heart of the East Side entertainment. The Tiny House is also connected to 1GB WiFi. We look forward to hosting you in the heart of East Austin, just 1.5 miles from the convention center, and 10 minutes from the airport. We are kid friendly (pac n play, toys, high chair available), and accept dogs for an additional one-time fee of $25.
The Kanga Tiny House comfortably sleeps two people, sharing a queen bed. If you are traveling with a third person, or simply need extra sleeping space, we have a twin-sized air mattress available for you to borrow, or a pac'n'play for a little one. (Please ask for this in your reservation request if you need it). Floor space is limited, so we may rearrange furniture to comfortably accommodate your group. Check-in time is 3pm or later. Access is through a keyless lock for which you'll be provided a code prior to approval, so late night check-ins are not a problem. Check-out time is 12pm. Dogs are permitted on a case-by-case basis for an additional per visit fee of $25, and approval must be obtained ahead of a booking being made. The fee will be added to the booking through a booking alteration/special offer. In cases of Instant Books, we'll submit a request for pet fee payment through the Airbnb system. Guests must keep their dogs supervised at all times when in the yard, leashed when outside the yard, and must pick up after them. The Kanga Tiny House is roughly 200 square feet, and features: - AT&T GigaPower Internet (through Airport Extreme) - We do not have a TV but you can certainly stream your favorite shows with your own streaming services account (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon). - USB Charger for your devices - Wireless Charging Pad from Ikea (your device must be wireless enabled) We keep the place well stocked with all of the basics, as well as extra towels and blankets. We are: - 15 minutes (6.6 miles) from Austin Bergstrom International Airport, - 5 minutes (1.5 miles) from the Austin Convention Center, - Approx. $6 or $7 Uber/Lyft ride from downtown, - 1.7 miles to Austin's famous Rainey Street bar and restaurant district. We recommend taking Uber/Lyft unless you feel like a 30 minute walk, - 3 blocks away from the Lady Bird Lake trailhead on Pleasant Valley, for walking/biking/running (by Longhorn Dam). If you enjoy exploring on foot, or alternative transit options like bikes and buses, this is a good spot for you. You'll be just one block away from Cesar Chavez St, a major thoroughfare that goes into downtown, where there's an eclectic mix of dining, drinking, retail, services, gas stations, and single family homes. We're only a few short blocks from the Lady Bird Lake trail and head over Longhorn Dam, which pops you out onto a hiking, biking, and running loop that is several miles long. The boardwalk over the lake provides great views of downtown. There are plenty of things in walking distance, and we recommend looking at our Guidebook for more details. Our favorites for food & groceries: - JuiceLand on E Cesar Chavez, a smoothie & juice spot, approx. 3 minutes away - Tacos Guerrero on Cesar Chavez & Pleasant Valley, fantastic breakfast tacos for only $2 a piece - La Barbecue on E Cesar Chavez (we recommend preordering, at least 5 days in advance, to save yourself a couple of hours in a long line for the best brisket in town). - Kemuri Tatsu-Ya, 1.5 blocks away, fantastic Texas & Japanese fusion food - Juniper, 1 block away, a small plates restaurant with great cocktails - Counter Culture on E Cesar Chavez, a vegan restaurant, 2 blocks away - Blue Owl Brewing, a sour-mashed beer micro brewery, 1 block away - Juniper, a classy Italian restaurant with great wine and outdoor seating, 1 block away - HEB on E 7th, a grocery store, approx. 10 minutes away - Hi Hat on E 6th, a gastropub, approx. 15 minutes away - Counter Cafe on E 6th, a breakfast & lunch diner, approx. 15 minutes away - Launderette on Holly St at St Martinez Jr St has one of the best burgers in town plus a tasty rotating dessert menu. There are many more options for dining and services. If you prefer to drive to any of these you'll get there in less than 5 minutes. We are avid travelers ourselves, and love staying with AirBnB hosts any chance we get. We want to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, and are completely open to frank feedback on how to improve your time in the Kanga Tiny House.
The East Side is a wonderful, artsy, quirky place. It's still a little rough around the edges, as is the case in any gentrifying neighborhood. We always feel perfectly safe, and our street is well lit and comfortably "busy" with traffic and buses, while still being completely residential. We've never had issues with street parking. There's no side walk on our particular block (despite letters to the city) but it picks up on both sides of our block, and doesn't bother us much.
  • This was one of the best stays I've had using Airbnb. The Kanga is just as described. Anna and Chad are great hosts, all the instructions are clearly labled and posted through out the Tiny House so there is no guest work involved. I will definitely stay here again.

    Kevin2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in a great location. Everything is as represented. Spacious tiny house with all you need. Stocked with fresh fruit, yogurt, milk and beer! Anna was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again. Great place, nice and convenient location.

    Janis2015-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I could not have been happier with our stay at the Kanga. The house was clean, comfortable (roomier than expected), and perfectly suited for us. We were super excited about staying in the tiny house when we booked and everything surpassed our expectations. The hosts quickly responded to every question we had, made sure we were doing fine, stocked the house with great items, and respected our privacy 100%. The neighborhood location may look a little rough at first glance, but we never felt unsafe at all and there is plenty nearby. Its proximity to downtown was great too. I would definitely recommend staying at the Kanga and hope to return one day.

    Dan2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Host, location and room was WAY more than what was ever expected. Neighborhood is safe and in the most excellent location. Bus was handy on more than one occasion. We didn't have a chance to meet Anna, however, Chad was gracious and accomodating. Every time that we visit Austin in the future, we will stay at the Kanga. Best experience a person could ask for. Home away from home.

    Dei2015-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Chad were very responsive to the booking/accommodation process as well as making me feel at home. The Tiny house was very spacious, clean, great air conditioning, and quiet. An added bonus is the 1gig of wireless capability! Also, the Lady Bird Trailhead is less than a half-mile away if you want to bike/run/walk. This was my first AirBnB experience and definitely will come back to stay. Thx Anna and Chad! Stephen

  • Great place to stay!

    David2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home is so cute and stocked nicely with toiletries and snacks. We even had a couple extra towels we used to lay out in. It was clean and comfortable! The only (tiny) issue was that the bathroom pocket door was sticky. At the halfway point, you kind of have to lift it and pull to get it to close all the way. Anna and Chad were friendly and had great recommendations. We were able to leave our bags at their house post-checkout until our flight. We would definitely return to this airbnb, especially with our conveniently located it was. Thank you!

    Christina2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Chad made our stay in Austin so easy in their beautiful tiny house! Full of amenities - they've really thought of everything; they were also very easy to communicate with and greeted us when we arrived. The neighborhood has lots of good cafes and gives easy access to all of Austin. Would highly recommend to any and all!

  • A great apartment in a great location with a great host. Jason made this experience really easy and his apartment was wonderful! Would highly recommend it

    Kate2013-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while in Austin. It exceeded all if our expectations. Everything was as advertised and Jason was great to deal with.

    Matthew2014-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying at Jason's apartment! it is so perfectly located and wonderfully comfortable. I had everything that I needed, Jason was super responsive the entire time. I can't wait to come back and stay again, and I highly recommend this listing!

    AKeiba2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jason sent an extensive letter prior to us arriving with complete details of how to find his place, how to get in, places to eat and visit in his area. This loft is very easy to find and in a great location! Plus, it was nicer then we had expected. Love the dining table with attached stools! The Kuerig Coffee maker complete with different flavors of coffee was so welcome. It was also wonderful to have the air conditioning already on when we arrived in 98 degree weather. If your visiting Austin I would highly recommend this listing.

    Judi2015-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was a great host, we had everything we needed. A great location , gated parking and a wonderful all glass view. The decor was classy and festive! We would be happy to stay there a third time and more!

    Kimberly2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Immaculate! Interesting architectural and decorative touches. Excellent, secure location with easy access to Interstate 35 and 6th street. Quick stroll to some great restaurants. Nice view of Austin skyline from livingroom windows and balcony.

    Jan2012-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's apartment is gorgeous. The decor has been updated since the photos were taken and the apartment is actually significantly nicer than shown. Check in was a breeze and Jason responded to messages instantaneously. Location wise, the apartment is situated about 80 feet east of i35, on 6th street. Very close to everything, although the immediate vicinity (as in, directly downstairs) is slightly removed from the heart of downtown west of i35. In the summer heat, we chose to take cabs everywhere, but these rides were short because the apartment is relatively close to everything. Overall the experience was great, and I would definitely stay here again. The place is awesome.

    Orr2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's loft is incredible! The space is immaculate. Seriously, I have never been in a cleaner or tidier apartment. And the location is prime-- minutes from a lot of hot spots on 6th street. Fresh water and Keurig-brewed coffee were at our disposal, as well as cable tv and some seriously great water pressure. Plus, a few days before our arrival, Jason sent us a guest letter that had everything we needed to know and more in it: info on getting into his apartment, where to park, and tips on what to see and eat in the city. Jason's place will be first on my list should I ever make it back to Austin.

  • Everything was perfect! It truly was a "hideaway"! The greeting note card was very thoughtful. And we were obsessed with the decor. The location couldn't have been any better!

    Kristin2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Hideaway was great! The unit itself was exactly as pictured, and the pool area was beautiful (as well as peaceful). The bedrooms and bathroom were neat, clean, and well-stocked with towels and toiletries. We really enjoyed staying at The Hideaway.

  • We loved the Hideaway and hope to stay again in the future. It was super comfortable and luxurious, even nicer than the photos! Bill was a very helpful and accommodating host.

    S2015-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Bill's home during our wedding weekend and it was perfect. The property was so serene and the decor was beautiful. It felt like we were staying in a luxurious hotel. Bill was very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed for the weekend. Every little detail from the toiletries, to the plush bathrobes and coffee maker helped make our stay so enjoyable. Plus the location can't be beat- just blocks away from South Congress. We would definitely stay with Bill again!

    Jessica2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at The Hideaway for a conference we were at all week and the property was great! Bill was really helpful in letting us know what was in the area, good restaurants, good places to grab a drink, and was always quick to respond if we had any questions. The property was amazing, super comfortable beds, great amenities, and was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of conference activities, networking, and exploring the great city of Austin. The location of The Hideaway couldn't have been more perfect and there were a ton of good places to eat, drink, and shop all within walking distance. Needless to say, we really enjoyed staying at The Hideaway and plan to stay here again for both work and personal trips.

    Cody2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was exactly as you see it in the pictures. It was the perfect space for our group and we could not have been happier! We thought we wanted to do all sorts of activities in Austin, but we ended up just lounging outside and enjoying the awesome pool!

    Megan2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at the Hideaway! And what a perfect name for this home. It is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood (but still minutes away from all of the action), and has a secluded, relaxing vibe. The Hideaway is beautifully decorated and thoughtfully appointed. The pool area feels like a secret grotto. We were more than pleased with everything about this place. Bill is such a nice person and very welcoming. He had a ton of great recommendations for activities and dining in the area. (The sushi spot he recommended was amazing!) All in all it was a great trip and I would highly recommend a stay at the Hideaway!

    Jennifer2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the Hideaway was nothing short of perfect. Bill was very accommodating, friendly, and accessible. The house was gorgeously decorated and the pool (not to mention the great air conditioning) was so nice to come home to. It truly felt like home. An added plus is location - 5 minute walk from bustling South Congress but private, green and peaceful. Can't recommend highly enough! Thank you Bill!

Lofted craftsman cottage in the heart of central east Austin. Located less than a mile from UT and 1.5 miles to downtown. The cottage has an open and comfortable vibe with natural light against the custom woodwork and vaulted pine ceilings.
Completely renovated, open and modern cottage with loft in central east, atx. The cottage has been restored over the past couple of years and is essentially a new house on the inside. The interior has a vaulted tongue and groove pine ceiling with a loft, hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, and relaxed open atmosphere. Cottage is centrally located less than a mile from ut and the state capitol and 1.5 miles from downtown. The MLK commuter rail train station is directly across the street from the house and is one stop from downtown. Bennu (the local 24 hour coffee shop) is a couple of blocks away, as are restaurants, bars, etc. on Manor road (within walking distance). Check out my guide for restaurants and such in the area. The house has central ac/heat, high speed wireless internet, cable tv, washer/dryer, tankless water heater, full kitchen, w/ coffee maker/coffee etc. Super comfy queen size bed with 400 thread count linens, lots of comfortable pillows, and fresh towels in the bathroom. The house has a ton of windows and can be bright and sunny with the blinds open letting in the natural light, or cozy and dark with the blinds closed and lights dimmed against the interior woodwork. The cottage is furnished with a mix of mid century and custom pieces. The loft has a sofa that converts to a full size bed and can accommodate 2 extra people. There is also a unique outdoor seating area with vintage wrought iron furniture that's been re-done with comfortable cushions. Is a nice hang out space for relaxing and enjoying coffee or drinks with friends. The area also includes a grill for whatever you'd like to cook up. Is difficult to portray the comfortable vibe of the house in the pictures. I'm the iphone photographer so pics are a bit rudimentary and hardly do the house justice. I also live on the property in the adjacent back cottage. I'm a native Texan and long-time Austinite that can give you insight and recommendations about the city according to what you're seeking, but am just as happy to not cross paths as the cottage is pretty autonomous. The house is super convenient to all things in central Austin and is a great place to relax and recharge during your stay. A bit of history from the Austin Historical Commission about the cottage - "these cottages were built by the Calcasieu Lumber Company of Austin as small dwellings in the 1920s and 1930s. Founded in the 1880s, Calcasieu Lumber Company was Austin's first lumber yard. The company had standardized plans, and provided all the materials, even the crews for the construction of these houses on an owner’s site. The Calcasieu cottages are unique to Austin, and have a signature Romantic Tudor Revival style, with steeply pitched hipped roofs – many residents have long referred to them as “fairy tale cottages” because of their soaring rooflines. Calcasieu manufactured these cottages through the 1930s, but stopped with this romantic Tudor Revival style prior to World War II. The Calcasieu Lumber Company was an Austin institution, and their cottages represent a uniquely Austin manifestation of an architectural style that is found nowhere else in the country. Maintaining them in Austin is extremely important." This property is in compliance with the City of Austin's Short Term Rental ordinances. Lic# (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) OL
The most eclectic, interesting neighborhood in the city. Walk, bike, or take a cab downtown. Houndstooth is 1/2 block away for the best coffee in town. The rail station is across the street and downtown is one stop away. Skylark lounge is a must.
  • We could not have been happier with our stay at Brad's cottage. The house was centrally located and we were shocked at how little driving we had to do to do all the things we wanted to do. The house was gorgeous with all woodwork and the spiral staircase. Brad was very attentive to any need yet unobtrusive. We had just worked so hard to have a wedding in our home and Brad's cottage provided a wonderful escape. Has us wanting to get back to Austin! Love the mailbox.

  • The location was nearby to some of our favorite restaurants (Dai Due, Hoover, Salty Sow) and the cabin was cute.

    Brad2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great first experience with Airbnb. I was traveling for work to SXSW and didn't want to spend 10 days in a hotel. Jason's place was ideal - perfectly formed with kitchen, laundry and living room in a quiet neighborhood only 10 minutes from downtown. Really nice layout and furnishings, safe and quiet. Jason was available for anything I needed but the house has complete privacy. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway or business accommodation.

    Sara2015-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was smooth with no problems. Jason was flexible with our check in and check out time. The house was clean and comfortable. Jason was also very responsive with any questions we had. We enjoyed our stay.

  • We stayed at the Eastside Cabana for a month after relocating from Atlanta and our only regret is that we have to leave. Awesome location, cozy space and Jason is a great host. Glad we kicked off our move to Austin here - highly recommend!

  • As a Texan & Austinite, I was completely blown away with this experience. At times I had to remind myself, yes your still in Texas! The house was amazing & even more breathe taking than the pictures describe. Cindy was a wonderful host and very accommodating! You felt like you had the entire house to yourself. We wanted to extend our trip just so we could spend more time enjoying the atmosphere at her house. Can't wait to go back!!!!

  • Cindy’s home blew me away with the design, comfortability, and beautiful views. She’s a great host and thinks of everything to make your stay wonderful. Would absolutely stay again!

    Alexandra2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cindy was an excellent host! Her home is beautiful, and the view from my room is like waking in a treehouse!

    Hal2016-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • By far the best Airbnb place I've stayed at. The view was amazing from every room. We stepped out on the balcony when we arrived after dark and saw the stars and moon with lightening bugs below us in the trees. The next morning we woke up to deer by the house and below the balcony. It was breathtaking and relaxing. Everything was very clean and spacious. The bed was also very comfy which is something I appreciate when traveling. Cindy was out of town during our stay, but she had her sweet friend host us for the weekend. We were very well taken care of, and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I can't give it enough stars.

  • Austin was amazing. Steve was an excellent host. His backyard home is perfect and it was 10$ cab ride to 6th street. There was food and beverages in the fridge, they even had ground coffee and brewer. Very cool place.

    Henry2014-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was a warm and welcoming host, providing us with everything we required and much more.

    Gavin2015-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Steve has an amazing place in a very quaint part of town close to may great dinning options and shops. The cottage is very spacious and Steve does his best to make you feel at home. I highly recommend this place if you want to live like a local in an amazing city.

    Ashley2013-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay in a wonderful neighborhood, and very accommodating host. Excellent design and back yard peacefulness, and Steve had some extra goodies in the kitchen which is a very welcomed touch.

  • Dreamy place. Beautiful landscaping. Lovely industrial finishings.

    Lily2016-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing quick stay at Steve's place. He greeted me with a helpful tour of his back cottage and was super quick to respond to any questions. The cottage itself was super clean and cute and Steve left plenty of goodies around for an ultimate experience. Highly recommend!

    Stephanie2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was incredibly welcoming. He met us when we arrived, 4 hours later than check-in time. The room was clean and tidy in a little abyss in his back yard. He even goes the extra mile with granola, rice crispies, coffee, and other amenities. Walking distance from a great restaurant called Mi Madres... Must go. Thanks for everything Steve!

    Will2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a quick two days in Austin and Steve's place was exactly what we were looking for: clean, comfortable, and convenient. Steve was extremely friendly and helpful in providing recommendations. We will certainly stay again next time we're in Austin!

Unwind on a private wooden deck overlooking the surrounding trees in this modern studio guesthouse. Experience a countryside forest getaway featuring contemporary architecture, room-length windows, and an extensive library. Please don't pull in drive
Sleek, clean, new (finished in April, 2014), modern and completely private. The space has two good-sized bedrooms connected by a large bathroom. I do not book strangers together because of the shared bath. Fridge/ice-maker, coffee & tea provided. NO KITCHEN OR MICROWAVE. Four people will be quite comfortable. Separate entrance from main house.
The house is just 10 minutes from downtown, with plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops to discover. A short walk away from the house are Zilker Park, Deep Eddy pool, Barton Springs pool, boat rentals, and the famous Lady Bird Lake trails.
  • Jodi's guesthouse was everything I hoped for and more. The memory foam bed is a dream to sink into and a tragedy to get out of. The spacious shower is not only beautiful, but like one I hope for of my own one day. Extra perks that made me smile and put a bow on my stay were the assortment of teas and electrical tea pot, the soap products that actually smelt good and are not cheap, the bedside lamps, and the roomy and elegant patio space that we sadly didn't get to enjoy because it was raining. I guess that is what "next times" are for. Please continue to share your wonderful space, and thank you for sharing it with me.

  • Beautiful house, beautiful location, gracious hosts. We had a good time while in Austin. I would definitely stay here again.

    Corey2014-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I had a wonderful time staying at the Modern Sanctuary! I was quiet and peaceful but so close to all the great restaurants of Downtown Austin. The host also had great recommendations for foodie fun places to eat!

    Kaleigh2016-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived very late and the owner was not at home as announced in advance. We expected that the door to the guest house would be open but it was locked. However, after calling the owner by cell phone we got immediate support and finally found the keys in a locker box. Our stay was very pleasant because the apartment is tastely furnished and nicely decorated. The location and neighborhood is excellent because we could drive to downtown Austin in less than 15 minutes and could walk to the river. A boat rental is just minutes away and we enjoyed swimming in the river. We can highly recommend this place although we unfortunately not had the chance to meet our host in person.

  • This is my second time staying at Jodi's. Everything about it was ideal--the location, the rooms, the view.

    Michael2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful architecture, amazing setting, wonderful hosts, great city! Jodi and Fred, were amazing hosts. Enjoyed my week long stay. Their place was the perfect location for access to downtown, as well as quick access to Zilker Park to take a morning run. I travel often to Austin for business and will definitely make this my home base when I am there!

    Mitchell2016-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our 4 night stay at Jodi's home could not have been better. The place was extremely comfortable, clean, organized, and even more beautiful than any photos can suggest (especially the large balcony/patio, which is the best possible place to start your day). As a host, Jodi couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Would definitely stay again, and would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a beautiful relaxing place.

Come to stay in our charming backyard tiny house! It comes equipped with a queen size bed, tv, dining/work station, coffee machine & mini fridge. The bathroom has a sink, shower, self contained eco-friendly toilet and bath supplies including a hair dryer. Our location is very centralized so you can get anywhere in Austin easily. It's only a 12 minute drive to downtown! Why stay in a boring hotel when you can have your own private house for a fraction of the price? *Car for rent available too!
This tiny house is perfect for a short getaway for two people. But if you really want to sleep three people it is possible with two in the queen bed and one on the twin air mattress. Just know that it will be very tight space for 3.
We're located on a small street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Within walking distance- Some great Asian and Mexican restaurants as well as a Target and bus station. There are tons of restaurants near by- Ramen Tatsu-ya, Stiles Switch BBQ, Din Ho Chinese BBQ, Baby Greens, Hanabi Sushi, Tam Deli & Cafe, Royal Jelly, El Nuevo Mexico, Chago's, Pint House Pizza, Torchies- the list goes on and on. Other attractions close by include Capitol City Comedy Club, Top Golf, Alamo Drafthouse, Pinballz old school arcade, Ikea and the Domain restaurants & shopping.
  • I totally enjoyed my backyard tiny house stay. It was a really nice experience to live on less. Nate has put a lot of work into making sure the place has everything you need to live a minimalist lifestyle. Thanks so much Nate for allowing me to stay.

  • Cute, comfortable and quiet! Would stay in Nate's tiny house again.

  • Staying in the tiny home was definitely an experience and a great one! If you're anything like me, I've always enjoyed watching tv shows that highlighted Tiny Homes and it was great to finally stay in one. It was very quaint and made for a nice getaway.

    Keyah2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The toilet is what really turned me off, but I knew that going in! To those who have never used an eco toilet, it’s certainly an experience. One that I definitely don’t want again lol!

Small private studio apartment in the backyard of an east side bungalow. Walking/biking distance to downtown and tons of east side bars and restaurants. Easy access to Town Lake trails. *PLEASE SEE WRITTEN UPDATES TO PHOTOS BELOW*
We have a very cute, small studio space with kitchenette and full bathroom in the back of our home. Desk folds away for more room. There is a twin bed with an extra mattress you can put on the floor. Town Lake is 1/2 mile away and downtown is 1 mile. Walk to many of the east side bars. If you haven't experienced the East Side of Austin, you're in for a treat! Hip "Weather Up" bar just two blocks away. Bars and restaurants of the Rainey Street district an easy 1 mile walk. Convention center is a 1 mile walk. East 5th & 6th bars and restaurants are within 1 mile walk. We walk downtown all the time! 2 blocks to the bus stop, 5 blocks to the train stop that takes you right to the Convention Center. Charming quiet and safe Holly street neighborhood. Separate alley entrance. No smoking and no pets. WiFi available. *Please note that the birdhouse has been through some changes! It's super cute, but lived in, and we have a TWIN bed in there now, with and extra mattress that can be set up on the floor (6 inch height difference) for additional guests. Just let us know! Also cooking equipment available with notice!*
  • Love staying in the birdhouse. It's a great space. Comfortable bed. Had all the amenities. The radiator kept us nice and toasty. One day we spent the entire afternoon in the backyard playing games and enjoying the weather. Would definitely stay again. Elizabeth is fun, accommodating, generous, and well informed on the area. Excellent stay.

    Jacob2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth was great! We never actually met, but we appreciate how responsive she was. The room was ready early (which was great, because the trip from the airport was faster than we expected) and we had everything we could need. The location was perfect, and it was so nice to have a private space.

    Lorelei & Jesse2015-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was quite accurate with the pictures. We did not have major inconveniences and the place was clean

    Ivan2016-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to work with. Great communication and follow up on the details of the space. Space is as described in listing and pictures. Location is ideal for anyone needing to get to downtown.

    Charles2015-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Place is just as described and is a great location (and deal!) for taking in all that the city has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

    Stephanie2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cozy space in a great location. It’s spartan and was a good spot for SXSW. The house could be tidier, but it kind of works with the charm of the place. Elizabeth was an attentive host, responding quickly to my questions. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs for the neighborhood sounds.

    An2018-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is exactly as described, it was small but perfect for 2 people. Everything that you would need is available, including bug repellent for those pesky mosquitoes during the summer, from toiletries, towels, bedding, soap, mini fridge, hot plate, etc. I didn't get a chance to interact with Elizabeth but everything was set up perfectly for our late check in and stay. I would recommend her place and I would stay here again!

    Tina2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Not terrible, not great. Someone else's crusty leftovers were in the fridge (but, so was someone else's beer), shower curtain stained brown, one of the more uncomfortable futons I've encountered. Having said that, the price and location were great. Good for a quick overnight trip.

  • Chris' place is wonderful and Austiny. It is well equipped and would be great for a longer stay. Perfect location. We hope to return and spend longer there.

    Hannah2016-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Chris is an A+ host. In fact, his airbnb has to be one of the very best on the market. He is a great communicator, and the place is even nicer in person. The location is incredible, and we have literally no critiques. It was just awesome!

    Ben2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was very friendly and instantly welcoming. The place was just as pictured; eclectic country and comfortable. We loved the cute little dogs and interesting goats.

    Diana2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay in a great area. Chris was easy to get hold of and helpful. Only small comments, I thought there were 2 bedrooms and the lovely candles were great in masking a bit of a weird smell. However, they were very minor things and we would definitely use again.

    Juliet2013-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was great, place was cute, awesome location. I would recommend walking to Elizabeth street cafe and perlas for eating and drinking.

    Emily2014-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely gem of a place! The bungalow is as pictured and then some. The host has dogs so keep that in mind if you are allergic, but if you love dogs this is a great place. All three are super friendly and sweet. Chris was super helpful in giving us a tour of the town and plenty of restaurant recommendations. The location is superb! It's located between south congress street and first street so it's perfect for travelers without a car. Would definitely book again!

    Keri2015-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was very accurate, everything looked exactly like the pictures. Chris was really nice and welcoming, without being over-involved in our stay. He told us what bus we could take from the airport and picked us up from the bus stop and drove us around the city. It was great to have a quick tour to figure out where things were. During the rest of our stay, he checked in once and awhile and was quick to respond if we had questions or needed a recommendation. The cottage was really close to a lot of restaurants and shops, it was really nice to be able to walk places and enjoy the beautiful weather.

    Emily & Andrew2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at this AirBnB and my third at one of Chris' properties. He is very welcoming and laid back (and always has suggestions in case you aren't familiar with Austin!). Since our last stay he made some great updates to the place and it's such a great location.

  • Jason's 2 bedrm condo off E. Oltorf was perfect for our stay! My daughter & I enjoyed having the extra room and the rate was comparable to many tiny 1 bedrooms we've stayed in. The pics are accurate, the place was clean and inviting, everything we needed. It was also super convenient that we were able to have a code to come & go and no key to keep track of. We never met Jason but he was very responsive and accommodating. We would gladly stay in this property again and recommend it to our friends.

    Sandi2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I recently rented Jason's house for a bachelorett party for a group of 7. His spot was the perfect size and in the perfect location. We were minutes away from everything we did that weekend, and we did quite a bit. I can't thank Jason enough for making such a special weekend happen for me and my group.

    Meghan2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were in town for the Austin Film Festival and were happy with our stay at Jason’s place. Great location; we went downtown frequently during our trip and the drive was short. Make sure to use the map Jason sends became the unit can be difficult to find otherwise. The keyless lock was very handy. The complex was quiet and well lit at night. The unit is a little sparse (which was fine for us, as we were mostly on the go) but there is plenty of sleeping areas and couches to relax on, some card games to play, and TVs. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for showers.

    Kristina2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and reasonable price if you’re going to be out all day and mainly just need a place to crash and shower.

    Victoria2018-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was a great host. Readily available when needed. Area of location could have been better in terms of what you're looking for but was close proximity to Downtown. The place itself was good. Just wished it was in a more appealing location.

    Ricot2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and a lot of space! Two bathrooms helped a lot!

    Irais2017-05-27T00:00:00Z

Modern, light-filled tiny house in central Austin has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a quiet neighborhood near UT. Perfect for 2 people, it's an easy walk to restaurants, bars and music, and a short drive to downtown, east side and SOCO.
The best way to experience Austin is to come and go from the privacy of your own home. This 8' x 17' tiny house has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a neighborhood setting in central Austin near UT. The tiny house is parked in a big backyard and has its own private access. It’s a short walk to popular local eateries like Olive & June and Austin breakfast original, Kerbey Lane, and an easy drive to the east side, SOCO, downtown, SXSW venues, Zilker Park, and UT activities. Off-street parking is steps from the front door. The house has an open, airy floor plan with lots of natural light, custom cabinetry and modern furnishings. The loft space is a great sleeping nook with a queen bed, sconces, and outlets so you can charge your phone or other devices at night. The shower and toilet downstairs and comes with basic necessities like towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a small blow dryer. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and a sink for both kitchen and bath needs. The kitchen has essentials for enjoying a simple meal like plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils, hand and paper towels, cutting board, knives, can opener, salt & pepper, etc. There is 138 sq. ft. downstairs and an additional 42 sq. ft. sleeping loft for a total living space of 180 sq. ft. Please remember that it is a tiny home and the shower space is smaller (3' x 3') with a curtain door to the bathroom. It may be uncomfortable if you are very tall. My partner is 6'4" and he has to slump a bit in the shower. I've had several tall guests who have not had any problem but I want to be clear in my description of the space. The tiny home has a 10 gallon water heater, which is standard for small spaces, but if you like to take longer showers, this may not be the space for you. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. The price includes all city and state hotel taxes. The tiny home features its own private access and small courtyard shaded by a Texas pecan tree! Parking is spacious, off street and steps from your front door. It also has a Tevo lock, so can be accessed from your smart phone or by key. The tiny home is located in my big backyard but is very private and I will not disturb you. What is so great about the neighborhood is that it is so walkable - restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and running trail are all within walking distance. It's close to MoPac and is a short drive to pretty much all that Austin has to offer. It's got lots of great trees, people out walking their dogs, and a nice neighborhood feel to it. If you are planning on getting around by taxi, you will easily be able to hail a cab downtown but you will need to call ahead to get a cab to pick you up from the tiny home. Most guests use Uber or Lyft. If you plan to take the bus, there is a bus stop a block from the house and other bus stops are within walking distance. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. Please be courteous and considerate of the neighbors.

  • My boyfriend always wanted to stay in a Tiny Home and Trish's place has honestly made the trip so memorable. The house itself is so much bigger than the pictures serve's it justice and its amenities make it feel like you're staying at your own personal place. We had a cute table to eat our breakfast and lunch , nice couch to watch tv, kitchenette to warm up food. The best part was always walking into the house or walking up to the scent of fresh wood from the paneling. Trish is really amazing host, keeping in touch all the way up to our stay and throughout. Ease of access into the place was so easy and driveway footsteps away. I want to say don't fear the location being away from downtown.. Probably so much better as her place was accessible to the main road that gets you to those places. This place really made me feel like an Austin local got the weekend. If I have a chance again, we're going to request to stay here if we come back.

    Ashley2016-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I rented Trish's Tony House for our 9th anniversary weekend getaway. We absolutely loved the cozy little home. As a place to relax and crash in between dining and activities, it was everything we needed. Our one and only complaint, and this has more to do with personal preference than anything inherently negative about the Tiny House, was that the bed is very firm. We prefer a much softer bed. All in all, we loved it and would definitely rent again if Trish would have us. Highly recommended!

    Zack2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience at Trish's Tiny House was FANTASTIC!! We could not have asked for more. Every small detail was planned out and well communicated to us. 1) Tiny House: Super cute and clean. It was the perfect test run for someone who is interested in building our own tiny house. 2) Amenities: Really impressed that every small detail that would make our stay comfortable was already thought out including WIFI, coffee, shower toiletries, and ample parking. 3) Key Coordination: This being my first AirBnB experience, I was not sure how the key coordination would work. Trish made it super easy with options for a regular key and electronic key. 4) Communication: Trish was always responsive and gave thorough instructions on getting to and into the Tiny House. I arrived kind of late (11:00 PM) and had my own technology issues with the electronic key. But Trish responded quickly to my panic text messages. And in the quick minute it took for Trish to reply, I had figured out my tech issue and got into the house with no problem. But I really appreciated that if I still had an issue, Trish would be there to help me.

  • If Trish isn't a professional interior designer she should be! The tiny house is as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. The size and placement of the furniture maximizes the functional space available in the tiny house. The house is located in a GREAT neighborhood! We took evening walks around the area and were able to walk to several restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The neighborhood grocery store is also located within walking distance. We appreciate the informative emails we received from Trish before our arrival. She provided us with great suggestions for restaurants as well as helpful tips on places to visit. Trish is extremely friendly and very willing to answer any and all questions.

    Susan2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Trish's tiny house was exactly as she described it: bright, airy, and adorable! We had everything we needed (coffee, TV, wi-fi... what more could we have asked for?!), and Trish was so gracious about offering anything else we might need. Access to the tiny house was easy and private through a back gate, and the off street driveway parking was an added perk. Trish's neighborhood is lovely for taking a morning or evening stroll. The tiny house was a quick trip from Mt. Bonnell, and provided easy to access our other Austin favorites like South Congress ad Zilker Park. Trish was also great at responding to questions and messages before and during the visit. The tiny house was exactly what we'd been looking forward to, and we would love to stay there again on our next visit to Austin!

    Samantha2015-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay!! Trish was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The pictures and description were very accurate. The tiny house looks exactly the same in person as it does in the pictures. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Amalie2016-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was exactly as described! Very tiny, very cute and very clean! There are several windows, making it light and airy and feels bigger than it actually is. The Kevo lock was a cool feature, using an app on your smartphone rather than a hard key. Though the place is small, it has everything you need for a few days stay. Although our schedules were so that we were unable to meet Trish, she was very accessible the entire time. We'd definitely recommend the tiny house to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in Austin and we'd definitely stay here again!

    Christy & James2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • I was very comfortable at Trish’s tiny house. It had everything I needed, and Trish made the whole process so easy and seamless. It was also clean, and had Wifi, coffee, and extra heaters for the chilly night. It was a quiet retreat, which worked nicely for me while in Austin visiting friends and family. Thank you, Trish!

  • The tiny home was SO CUTE. Our only complaint was that the bed did not fit two people comfortably. My boyfriend who is 6'5 spent the 2nd night downstairs on the futon. Great location and we felt safe!

  • Amazing location! Did not have to walk far to find great food and drinks. Cute neighborhood to walk the dog. Home was cute and clean, check in was easy. The bed was a little small to sleep the two of us comfortably, but was otherwise wonderful.

  • My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The room is exactly the same in person as pictured and the check-in process was very smooth, which was great after traveling early in the morning. Ben was very accommodating and was super quick to respond to any questions we had along the way. The location is very walkable to both nightlife and recreation areas, which was great for us as we only had to rent a car for a portion of our stay. We would definitely stay again, thanks Ben!

    Kerry2017-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for our escape from the Inauguration! Comfy bed, plenty of space, good lighting. Can't say enough about the bathroom! Huge, deep tub and a shower floor with hand-laid river stones which massage your feet while a rain shower head sprays you under a change-the-color-to-your-liking light! (Whew!) Ben was super responsive by text and email, both before and during our stay. He provided us with a wealth of information about places to eat and drink, on top of pointing us to his AirBnB guide. RideAustin was super easy to use from Ben's place (having drivers not be able to find you is no fun). And that's not a Marshall amp--it's a fridge! Too cute! Ben was kind enough to make sure the guitar was in playable shape for me as well, as I asked if it was playable. All around excellent host and space!

    Mary2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's place was exactly like it's listed! Very clean and nice. Super close to Rainey st. which is definitely a scene to check out. Ben gave us plenty of great recommendations while we were stayed! Definitely looking forward to come back in the future.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Erin’s cottage. The place was very clean and perfect for our one night stay in Austin. The location is in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and convenient stores. Also about a 10 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the Domain. Erin was a great host who provided clear instructions and also quick responses to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again during our next visit to Austin!

  • This is a very cute little place at a good price in Central Austin. It is new and clean and affordable and is just fine for two people looking for a basecamp to explore Austin. It is also next to a nice coffeeshop, which serves breakfast tacos in the morning.

  • This was one of the best Airbnb's I have visited yet! Much larger than it looks and a very up to date, beautiful space. Extremely easy and close public transport for getting downtown and around Austin (bus stop is literally a two minute walk away!). Recommend looking into hikes in the area too!

    Erika2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • From our early messages to our checkout, Erin was always available. The cottage was so cute, and very well thought out, making it a sweet little quiet place just for us. The bed was really comfortable and everything was spotless! This was an ideal Airbnb and I will definitely suggest it to family and friends to stay here.

Beautiful flat that comfortably sleeps up to four and is conveniently situated in Austin's centrally located and hip Hyde Park neighborhood and very close to the University of Texas, perfect for UT Football games. Featuring bamboo floors, a full kitchenette (with double burner, micro-wave, dishes, cookware and cooking utensils), colorful furniture and lots of natural light, its the antidote to the impersonal and tired big box hotel experience. We also have recently installed a brand new A/C unit, which is always a nice thing during our hot summers!! The apartment is on the same premise as the owner's home, but separate from the main house. So, they are close by if assistance is needed, but the apartment maintains plenty of privacy. It includes one full bed with a comfortable futon couch that folds out for two additional sleeping spots, and a dining table with place settings for up to four people. It also features one full bathroom with shower, and plenty of clean towels and linens provided. Close street parking. For longer term rentals, covered parking is a possibility. Located just a few minutes walk from Elizabet Ney museum and Hyde Park's quaint local shopping district, which feature's Austin restaurant gems Asti, Mothers, Julio's and Hyde Park Bar & Grill, and coffee shops Quack's and La Dolce Vita, its easy to get out and enjoy the neighborhood. Its also a short 8 minute drive or 15 minute direct bus ride to the University of Texas campus, and its world renowned intellectual, sports, museum, and arts & culture facilities. Further, given the apartment's central location, its an easy trip to downtown's eclectic, and sometimes wild, live music, entertainment, and shopping districts. Lastly, if outdoor activities are your thing, its also a short drive to Lady Bird Lake, Lake Austin and Lake Travis for water activities and/or well kept hiking and running trails. The attentive property owners, Simone and Drew, live on-site with their son, and two dogs (Jordan and Lili). So, you might enjoy fresh eggs. In short, if you're up to an easy going and authentic Austin experience for a few days (longer term rentals may be considered), this might prove a great choice. We're looking forward to hosting you! Sincerely, Simone & Drew Entertainment: TV, includes cable and streaming access to Netflix, Amazon Instant Video and Pandora. • Our first trip to Austin was wonderful and staying at the Hyde Park Flat made it that much better! The place was perfect and it was exactly as it was described! Drew was a great host and I would recommend this listing for anyone visiting the Austin area! Can't wait to go back!

  • We had a great time at the Hyde Park Flat! The room was amazing, Drew was helpful, and the neighborhood was beautiful!

  • Super Clean, fully stocked, comfortable, bright, and great location! On a quiet street, but in a truly central location. Be sure to take Drew's advice and visit the nearby Hypde Park Market / Convenience store. Worth seeing. Drew was accessible, easy-going and gave the best directions..follow them!

    Diana2013-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Drew and Simone were excellent hosts. Everything was all set for us upon arrival, the apartment was clean, and we felt very comfortable there. The entrance to the apartment is in the backyard, up a set of stairs over the garage and separate from the house. We felt free to come and go without worrying about disrupting their household. The chickens and dogs were often hanging out in the yard, and always fun to see as we headed out for the day. We experienced Austin during the absolute freakiest cold spell, with below-freezing temperatures, snow, ice and strong winds. Our hosts provided a space heater that was portable and efficient with circulating and warming the air in the aparment. Its good that it is lightweight and portable, because we did move it between the main room to the bath room as needed to keep things at a cozy temperature. I think that most people will not experience this situation, since we were there in a "worst-case" scenario regarding the weather. There is a nice flat-screen tv with netflix and pandora but otherwise no channels. This was preferable to us, and we used the netflix quite a bit. Wifi was also provided and quite useful. The Hyde Park location was great for us, coffee shops & groceries are easy walking distance. We were there mostly to check out the city and surrounding neighborhoods. We spent one day walking from the apartment through Hyde Park, down to the University, Capitol, and downtown. So it is possible to walk all the way downtown from the apartment, but it is quite a hike. If you don't have a car it would make sense to get familiar with the bus schedule for the area or locate a bike. We would highly recommend this apartment rental to individuals or couples that are visiting Austin and looking for a cozy, clean, & relaxed place to stay with fairly close access to the university and to downtown.

  • Our host Drew was extremely friendly and helpful. The space was perfect, spacious and clean. I would definitely stay there again.

    Sara2014-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Drew and Simone were such good hosts that we have already returned! The apartment is clean and bright and well appointed. I will leave a full review after our next stay.

    Tessa2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Drew is very friendly. We found the best breakfast taco place because we ran into him on our way out. The place is very cute and cozy and separate from the house. It's super quiet and comfortable and has all the perks of a studio apartment. The neighborhood is great and very convenient, especially if you've rented a car. If we come back to Austin, I'll definitely try to re-book.

The peaceful private backyard studio is close to everything - downtown, Lady Bird Lake, South Congress, Barton Springs, Zilker Park, Auditorium Shores, Palmer Auditorium, minutes from East Austin. You’ll love the place because of the unique space. Tucked under sprawling Southern Live Oaks trees it has incredible light, a lush queen-sized bed, comfy fold-out leather sofa bed. My place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and it's pet friendly.
The studio is located in the backyard of my house. While it has an open feeling with tons of light - it is still private. There is a small deck and use of the back yard which has a table and comfortable chairs. The studio of itself is special with high ceiling, subdued light and calming feel. With very comfortable furniture and TV (Roku) you can kick-back before hitting the town. There is no kitchen, but there is a coffee maker, tea kettle, small fridge and a microwave. Coffee, tea and a few refreshments will be provided. The european style bathroom is spacious and private with a large-walk in shower and a place to hang cloths.
The studio is located in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood. A sweet little hood, a stone throw to downtown Austin, its full of sprawling southern live oak trees and is a eclectic mix of ultra modern new-build homes and the old style bungalows. Stroll a few blocks to South First street for coffee shops, food trucks (breakfast tacos!) , amazing restaurants (vietnamese, thai, mexican) and some boutiques. A few more blocks over is South Congress - which is FULL of bars, restaurants, shops etc. Its all walkable. Barton Springs, which is one of Austin more incredible spots (especially early in the morning or for night swims) is a 5 minute drive. Lady bird lake is a half a mile walk down the street from the Studio. Downtown, Moody theatre, East Austin, Rainy Street are a short 5-10 minute uber ride. Zilker park is a 5 mins drive (15/20 min walk). Airport is 15-20 mins away. Circuit of the Americas is 20-25 mins.
  • Wonderful, clean, bright, private place with a comfy bed in a great location. Easy check-in. Appreciated the cold drinks in the fridge, restaurant recommendations and the umbrellas for when the skies opened up one day. Thank you Adam!

  • This is a very stylish studio with everything you might need. Nice thoughtful touches like beer in the fridge. We were here in sub-zero temperatures and although the space had heating, we did struggle a little bit to keep warm. Great neighborhood with lots of cool dinner and drinks options in walking distance.

    Eilish2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adam was a great host and the location was perfect with fantastic amenities. Would stay there again when in Austin.

    Julie2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • This host has thought of everything! I swear, walking into this space was better than opening a surprise gift Christmas morning. I am blown away by the space and it's convenient location. It was quiet and secluded yet so central to downtown and all the local spots. We had an amazing stay here and will absolutely be back!

    Alexandria2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cozy, modern, and beautiful! You'll never want to leave!

    Jacob2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay! Adam's place is unique and in a great location. It's embedded in the Bouldin Creek neighborhood with easy car access to the downtown and walking distance from cafes and food trucks. We hope to stay here again next time we visit Austin.

    Alex2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cool space, perfectly located to get just about anywhere in Austin. You can tell this is a desirable neighborhood. We were able to check in a little early which was much appreciated. Very attentive and fast to respond. Also, Adam has the best rec's on food! Every place we tried on his list was great. Thank you for a great stay.

    Mary Kate2018-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to spend my first trip to Austin! The loft offered impeccable design, thoughtful details, and was even cooler in person than in the photos. I appreciated all the small touches such as light refreshments, umbrellas and beach towels (things I often forget while traveling), and Austin-themed reading materials. Adam was quick to respond and I very helpful, and offered awesome recommendations as well. The loft was easily walkable to South First and South Congress streets, where there was no shortage of yummy food, unique shops, murals, and nightlife. Also walkable to the Lady Bird Hike & Bike trail for a fun loop and great views. The neighborhood was very safe. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and would love to stay here again if I make it back to Austin!

Welcome to our studio in the heart of Hyde Park! The casita (Spanish for "little house") has its own private fenced yard and parking. You can walk to Hyde Park Village, the Triangle or North Loop and it is minutes to downtown and UT by car.
Our private studio offers convenient access to everything you want to do in Austin. It is small (approximately 250 square feet, like a small hotel room) but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with charm (and everything you need for a great stay). The casita includes a private fenced yard with off-street parking and a private entrance. Also included are WiFi, and smart TV (no cable, but Netflix account pre logged in.) The studio has a brand new Queen sized bed. Guests with children are welcome to bring an air mattress for no additional charge, but space is tight with a mattress on the floor. Due to its limited size, we DO NOT recommend the Casita for 4 full-sized adults. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave with a portable 2 burner hot plate and all of the windows have window coverings for privacy. As we are located in the middle of a historic residential community (and love our neighbors), keeping outdoor noise down is critical. Enjoy the deck and private yard, but if you're a fan of blaring music and doing beer bongs, you're in the wrong place. The studio is located near several bus stops in a safe neighborhood that is very safe to walk in. Thanks for checking us out! City of Austin Short Term Rental Operating License #OL(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
Our beautiful and friendly neighborhood is one of the oldest in Austin. It is full of tree lined streets with eclectic homes. You can walk to local coffee shops, restaurants or Shipe Park for a picnic or swim (in the summer time)!
  • Excellent experience! We loved the casita. Chris responded quickly to our needs and he was very attentive during our stay.

    Ana2015-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, very quiet and cozy. Clean and comfortable. Chris was a great host making sure everything was ready for us when we arrived later than expected.

    Michael2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Chris was super nice and helpful! He answered all of our questions and had great suggestions on local spots to eat. The neighborhood is AWESOME. I have been to Austin a lot but I have never enjoyed it as much as I did staying and finding local spots in Hyde Park. The place was very private and we had our own place to park right next to the door which was very convenient. Everything was new and the TV was awesome. The full size bed was a little tight for us two but other than that excellent! I hope to stay again!

    Alexandria2015-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita came as advertised. It was a charming place to relax and retire from an energized day of Austin activities. The home was well cleaned and in great condition. The neighborhood is quiet and is located perfectly as a home base for seeing all Austin has to offer.

  • Nice and cozy in a very Austin neighborhood. Good food just blocks away.

    Don2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful! The Casita was just as it is in the pictures. Very cozy and lovely place to stay for me and my husband. Chris was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

  • Very cute and affordable place to stay in Austin. Great for short visits if you want to be near Austin's nightlife without the Austin hotel rates.

    Paige2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The casita was amazing. Just right for my girlfriend and me for the weekend. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to meet Chris but he left clear instructions on how to gain access to the space. I would definitely stay here again!

Our apartment is perfect for the budget traveler. It's very clean and with about 500 square feet it is spacious enough for 2 guests, although there is a fold out couch if you need it. My wife and I lived here before buying the main house on the property. It was a great place to live and gave us many happy years. I'm sure you will love it too! Located near Congress and Riverside, just a few blocks away from longtime Austin establishments such as Guero's Taco Bar, The Continental Club, Allen's Boots, and many other amazing restaurants, shops and music venues. The South Congress bridge, where the bats emerge at sunset every evening from March to October, is just a few more blocks away and leads directly into the downtown area only a mile from our apartment, all within walking distance. You can pick up the hike and bike trail at the bridge as well, and it runs for many miles around Lady Bird Lake. Public bike rentals are within a five minute walk on Congress Avenue. We do provide off street parking for one car. Rate includes 15% state and local hotel taxes for stays shorter than 30 days.
Our neighborhood is very quiet but still within a five minute walk to South Congress Avenue where business is booming!
  • We had a lovely time staying in John's adorable cottage. It is well-appointed and immaculately clean. It was also close to areas of interest. John clearly cares about the comfort of his guests. We would stay here again.

    Rachel2016-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay for a couple. Very nice and comfortable. We ubered everywhere we went since it was so close to all the places we wanted to see. Only cost us $5-$7 for ubering to Rainey Street. The host was very prompt to respond. I'm going back to Austin next week and would book him again except his place is really only comfortable for 2 and I'm bringing 3 friends with me.

    Imeen2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place that's very convenient if you want to walk to South Congress. John was very accommodating and the friendly animals were a bonus. Would definitely stay here again!

    Doug2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • You can’t beat this cozy place for its value and location! It was great to be so close to the South Congress area! I took a quick trip to Austin and I thoroughly enjoyed staying here!

    Kathryn2018-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The studio--more of a cottage--on John's property was perfect in lots of ways. The location was excellent, just a couple of blocks from Congress St. and popular spots such as Home Slice, HopDaddy and, of course, the Continental. Couldn't have asked for more. I was in for a conference and the convention center was an easy 20 minute walk. I would definitely recommend it and would be happy to stay there again.

    Kimberley2014-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first AirBNB experience and my husband was a little skeptical, but we both loved it! The space is so cozy and comfortable! And even though the location is STELLAR, it's in a very quiet area. We will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you, John!

    Chelsea2014-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here. The apartment was clean and comfortable. John and his family were very sweet. Great location for exploring the city!

A wonderful little retreat right in the middle of Austin. The cabin is only 180 sq ft but has everything you need. Twin bed with 400 thread count sheets, fine towels, coffee & tea setup. While very simple, it is about half the price of a hotel.
The "Zen Cabin" is a tiny 180 sq ft hideaway & is perfect for ONE person. It is a serene, quiet space (heavily insulated soundproofing) right in the center of town: Hyde Park just north of UT. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores. 10 minute walk to UT. Bike distance to downtown. Note: **ONLY ONE GUEST ** There is a full bathroom and twin bed, and it is adjacent to a large garden with many seating options that are you are welcome to use. I look forward to hosting you! Features: *Free WIFI *400 thread count sheets *tiny fridge *coffee/tea set up *plush towels *off street parking *on main bus routes *towels and toiletries provided
Hyde Park is one of the favorite neighborhoods in Austin. Most homes date from the 1920s and there are large established trees. The neighborhood contains Central Market North for gourmet groceries & Wheatsville food co-op for your hippie fix. There are also many great restaurants such as VinoVino, Asti, Julio's, Uchiko, Tacodeli, Zen. In addition, it is just north of UT Campus.
  • Tracy's cabin was perfect for a solo traveler in Austin for the weekend. Very clean and just the right amount of space. The location is great. It's very close to Guadalupe St and a bunch of restaurants along that corridor. Also close to the UT campus. Uber rides to downtown averaged about $8. Tracy was very helpful and answered all my questions promptly. The cabin has a private feel, and the property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with little vehicle or pedestrian traffic. It's a great place to relax, but it's close enough to all of the cool things Austin has to offer. I'd recommend Tracy's cabin to any single guest (the bed is a single).

    Will2015-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay in Tracy's backyard zen cabin. It was private and comfortable.

    Robert2013-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy was such a delight! Very welcoming and hospitable! The Zen Cabin was BETTER than I hoped for! The backyard is an oasis and magical. The twinkling lights on the tree were such a beautiful sight to see every night. The cabin itself was fully stocked with a mini fridge, coffee, tea and amenities. The ac unit was very efficient and the water pressure in the shower felt like a relaxing massage! Do yourself a favor and stay with Tracy and her bohemian-tastic clan! Thank you Tracy!

    Meagan2014-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The little cabin was perfect for a place to rest in between a days activities, which on my trip were cut short due to inclement weather. The flexible check-in time was very helpful as I did not arrive until late in the evening. Would highly recommend for anyone just wanting some peace and quite, but doesn't need everything a hotel can offer.

    Colt2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny zen cabin was wonderful! Tracy was a great host and made sure I had all the things I needed to ensure my stay in Austin was a success. The cabin is quiet and perfect for relaxation after a long day at a conference. It's close enough to walk to some restaurants. I highly recommend it.

    Jessica2014-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic communication and very peaceful cabin. The cabin is meant for short encounters, since it is tiny, however, very well done.

    Shauna Lynn2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy was very receptive. Didn't get to see her much but her little spot is great. Thanks!

    Kristjan2016-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny zen cabin was just that. It was clean and spare, but had everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the AC keep me cool in the sweltering, moist heat of Austin, the shower was great. I felt safe and at home. The garden surrounding the cabin was lovely, and during another season I would have loved to partake of its peacefulness. At night, wonderful colorful lights adorned the palm tree outside my window, completing the experience.

Lovely, elegant, furnished apartment located in the best part of Austin. Full-size refrigerator, full stove. Fiber-optic 1 Gig internet. We're located in Zilker/SoLa, within walking distance from many of the most famous restaurants, bars, venues, etc. If you like the outdoors, we're steps away from Zilker Park, Barton Springs spring-fed pool, ACL Fest, and beautiful Lady Bird Lake's hike/bike trails. A 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to Zilker Park (Barton Springs pool and ACL.) Please note that our space has only one queen bed and that we can accommodate no more than two people. If you want to book further in advance than we normally open up dates (typically 3 months ahead), please contact us. We can check our schedule and open dates early if we don't already have friends or family staying. Special events such as SXSW, ACL Fest, Formula-1, X-Games, football weekends, and so on, open up further in advance, and sometimes have higher rates and longer minimum stays than usual.

South Lamar's low-budget, low-key lifestyle is exemplified by its inexpensive eateries, cool thrift stores, and dive-bar drink specials. A rapidly increasing number of higher-end and award-winning restaurants provide other options. For those on a shoestring, abundant green space and refreshing blue water provide plenty of active alternatives—assuring a great way to spend your time without having to spend all of your money. If you like playing tennis, there are 2 free public courts just across the street, with night illumination. There's a laundromat 3 blocks down the street. You can launder things yourself, or they offer wash-and-fold service.
  • Charming little studio with lots of natural lighting, very clean and responsive host. Host goes above and beyond to ensure you have the best stay possible, leaving you welcome beers and local coffee.

    Cristina2017-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this apartment near Zilker Park and it was conveniently close to UT. Our host left some beer, mineral water and other goodies to welcome us on arrival. We enjoyed the experience and plan to return to Dede's place in the future. Thanks for helping us to feel so much at home!

    Jenny2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • The spot was just what we needed for a couple of nights in Austin. Offstreet parking, fresh coffee and nearby restaurants and food trucks made everything work out easily.

  • We had a lovely stay at Dede's in Austin. The place was perfect for anything between a short and long term stay, and the hosts were both hospitable and communicative. We were close to great places to eat and had a lovely porch to relax on in the evening. Thanks!

    Emily2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a relaxing stay! The hosts were great communicators, and everything was easy-peasy. The space is exactly as described, and what you see is what you get: a cozy, well-appointed, upstairs apartment with all the basic amenities you'll need, and a few extra! The neighborhood is easy to navigate, and anything you'd need is a short drive away: grocery stores, bars, restaurants, movie theater, park, etc. Highly recommended!

    Mandy2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was amazing and in the perfect spot of town! Everything (and I'm not exaggerating) that we wanted to do/see was either within walking distance or less than a 5 minute drive. The apartment was clean, cozy, and beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again!

    Kathryn2016-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Luca and Dede were fantastic Airbnb hosts! The apartment unit was easy to find, easy to get into with keyless entry, and was furnished with just the right amount of amenities that we needed. It's also gorgeous inside with lot of natural light! My friend and I only had a short stay in Austin but with a beer guide provided, we had a extra great time. It was the perfect neighborhood location away from the noise and bars, but close enough to walk or Uber around for cheap. Dede was extremely helpful and responsive with any questions that came up, and was kind enough to leave us a few drinks in the fridge. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Austin!

    Lauren2015-11-07T00:00:00Z

A modern, detached 250sq ft micro-unit "casita" in the heart of old South Austin has everything you need for a pleasant stay - high beadboard ceilings, an equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, queen bed and proximity to some of the best Austin offers.
Your place will be a detached 250 square foot casita (small house) remodeled in 2015. It has a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, refrigerator, utensils, dinnerware etc. There is also a small under counter washer-dryer. The eating area is an extended countertop that seats up to three and can double as a workspace. The bed is queen sized. The 3/4 bath is small and practical, and has an overhead shower. Super fast gigabit fiber internet is available for you to use. The casita is heated and cooled by a quiet ductless system. There is no microwave or television, though the internet is certainly fast enough to stream anything you desire.
Dawson was built in the late 1950s and early 1960s as a working class neighborhood in what was then the city's southern edge. With Austin's huge growth, Dawson is now a central city neighborhood, although it retains some of the character of "old South Austin." Today, Dawson is a mix of old residents and newcomers (we've been here 16 years), with modest single story late 1950s houses giving way to new million dollar duplexes. We've kept to the basic style of the original neighborhood, while updating with modern and energy efficient improvements. We are in the middle of the neighborhood, back from busy streets. Dawson is near many of the city's attractions and convenient to the airport, about 20 minutes from ABIA, door to door, at low traffic hours.
  • Exceptionally considerate and accommodating host! Please have no doubt in the excellent quality you can expect when booking with this host!

    Radina2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Edward and Susana were perfect hosts! Very welcoming and they also give you your privacy. This little tiny home is perfect for 1 or 2 guests. Very close to the city and the neighborhood is nice.

    Katrina2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Edward's house is amazing! It feels much larger than the photos in the listing and is furnished tastefully. The bed was super comfortable and everything in general is much nicer than what one would expect from an Airbnb. Highly recommended!

    Richard2016-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay! Great location and I loved the place itself. The decor was adorable, and I particularly loved the tea selection they provided. Also Summermoon Coffee was super close and a great place to stop for coffee. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, and will hopefully stay here again myself sometime soon.

    Celani2015-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Very close to downtown Austin. I would recommend this place!

    Jenna2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, clean, beautiful tiny-house minutes from downtown Austin. Make your reservation now! I stayed here for a week and had a fantastic time. Edward and his family live next door and were very welcoming and helpful. The unit itself is fantastic. It had everything I needed and more. It felt more like a hotel experience than an Airbnb experience. There's a full kitchen, washer/dryer, linens, and some of the fastest internet I've ever used. It's (Hidden by Airbnb) Fiber, so I was getting 500Mb down and 300Mb up. The location was good. Austin has a nice public transit system and I was able to get downtown via a bus which stops two blocks away. I was also able to walk to the heart of downtown which took 45 minutes.

    Andrew2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • I’d like to keep this little gem to myself so it is always available when I come to Austin, but that hardly seems fair. Everything was perfect about my stay. Communication was speedy and the place had lots of thoughtful touches. I will definitely stay here the next time I’m in Austin.

    Katelyn2018-01-31T00:00:00Z

Jeany was very accommodating making sure everything was ready for our arrival and we didn't have any problems. The place is on a quiet street yet very close to downtown. Everything we wanted to do was just minutes away.

  • My wife and I really enjoyed the cleanliness, organization, and privacy of our space. The whole unit was fully furnished; it would have been great for an extended stay. Our last morning there, the hot water stopped working due to a storm the previous night. Mose was able to come by as soon as he could to fix it. Jeany was also very responsive. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay, especially if you are looking for somewhere close to most Austin attractions and want your privacy!

  • This loft space is ideally located in Austin. It's a short Uber ride away from downtown Austin and Rainey Street but in a quiet neighborhood. It's nice, clean, and very cool - a great way to escape the heat. There is a comfortable bed and a couch that converts into another bed if would need one. There is also a spacious kitchen area, bathroom, and a walk-in closet. Overall, we were very happy with our stay here.

    Jennifer2015-07-29T00:00:00Z

  • The place is just as it's described. It's pretty bare-bones but it has what you need. And Jeany was available by phone or text if I had really needed something. It's very clean. A good location. Comfortable. And I think it was exactly what I needed and expected when I made the reservation.

Hi, I'm Adam from Austin, Texas and I am excited to host you! I built the little house on the hill as a micro home; it has everything a home has in a very small package. I truly love this home and can’t wait to share it with you! The Little House on the Hill has a beautiful country view and atmosphere just minutes from everything Austin has to offer. The little house is a beautifully hand crafted 340 sq. ft. micro home built on top of a hill overlooking the south Austin skyline. The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 2 adults. Inside there is a full kitchen, full-size loft bed, walk-in-shower, 40 inch flat screen TV with basic cable channels, sm. couch and small folding table and chair. ********************PLEASE NOTE*********************** We DO NOT offer internet in the house, however we have fantastic LTE cell-phone service with most carriers (att, t-mobile, version, sprint) so that you can still enjoy internet through your smart phone. ***************************************************************** The kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances, which include a microwave, gas oven and stove, refrigerator and reclaimed vintage cast iron sink set in a custom concrete counter top. Coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes and utensils are also included in the kitchen. There is also a pantry to store dry groceries. We do not have a dish washer so you will be responsible for washing your dishes before leaving. Caffeinated coffee, creamer and sweetener are also included for your enjoyment. The bathroom is full size and includes a large walk in shower with overhead lighting. The restroom is NOT separated by a door, therefore, minimal privacy is available while using the restroom facilities. This is a one room cottage; you will not want to stay here with someone you are not comfortable with, there is NO door for the toilet. Very open concept. Hand towels, bath towels, washcloths, toilet paper and hand soap are included during your stay. Please bring your own toiletries. Beside the bathroom and under the loft bed is a designated closet area which includes a cabinet for folded clothes, and a clothes rod for hanging garments. ABOVE the closet area is the full size bed, with a comfy foam mattress. Two alternative-down pillows and linens are provided. The bed is 7 feet in the air and therefore, a ladder is used to access the bed, gaurd rails are set on either side of the bed for your added safety. In addition, the clearance above the bed is only 3 feet so it's very cozy. The living room is simple with a sm. Ikea couch (not meant for sleeping unfortunately), a flat screen TV with basic local cable along with a small folding desk and single chair area for any working needs. A rear patio/deck with an amazing view of south Austin is included in your stay. A back patio for your enjoyment outdoors with dining table and chairs. *********************PLEASE NOTE********************** If you are considering traveling with your pet, I apologize we are NO LONGER ALLOW PETS. ***************************************************************** Smoking is NOT allowed inside the cabin, however you may step outside of the cabin onto the patio and enjoy lovely views and peaceful feelings are free. I do work on the property in a workshop on the acreage with 2 other employees most days of the week, I own my own company. I'm also in the process of building a home for our family along with another micro home. I have a german sheperd, Heidi who often accompanies me on work days. Please do not be afraid of her though, she is extremely friendly, but does have a big bark :) I also have a fiancé Rachel, and son who are often on the property, we are building for our homesite. My fiancé also has 3 dogs, all of which are friendly and range in size but are all loving rescue pups. Rachel, my son and her 3 dogs are currently off site until final construction of our homesite on the property. We would love to host you at our beautiful slice of paradise in Austin! Here are a few distances from the house to some common land marks in Austin: Distance to Bergstrom International Airport 6.4 miles Distance to Austin Executive Airport 13.4 miles Distance to Capital Plaza 8.5 miles (downtown) Distance to toll i-130 (fastest road in America 85 mph) 1 mile. Distance to Austin Expo Center (ROT Rally, F1 parking, many other events) 3.5 miles. Distance to the Circuit of the Americas 11.3 miles You will need to have your own transportation at this location. Yellow cab does service the address. There is not a bus stop in walking distance. Our driveway is gravel and not paved. We have a range of personal vehicles from a Mustang to F250 with no problems parking and moving about the lot. We apologize but we can not park semi trucks on the lot. Please look at calendar carefully as rates are subject to increase during festivals and other high traffic times (SXSW, ACL, F1, etc.) Price increases are reflected on the calendar. In order to get an estimate on your stay, please press the "Book It" tab. You can utilize this tab to give you an estimate, walk you through the payment and reservation process.
  • The host canceled this reservation 30 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • The Mini House was amazing and just the right distance from the city for my wife and I. We brought along our pup and they even provided us with a kennel to keep her in. This place provided my wife and I just the relaxation that we needed.

    Eric2013-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place!

    Vicki2014-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • The time we spent at the little house on the hill was great. The house is about ten minutes from the airport so we got there in no time. It's located on a Farm to Market road so the gps had difficulty directing us. Adam was more than happy to give us directions over the phone and meet us at the house. The house is the perfect size for a couple or someone traveling alone. The bed is lofted which saves space but I don't think it's the best for anyone above 6ft tall. We didn't really use the kitchen but it was nice to have the option. For a first time visit I'd recommend something closer to the city center but all in all it was a comfortable place to stay while in Austin.

    Vanessa2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful space on expansive land. Waking up every morning and looking out at the Texas prairie made my SXSW experience significantly better. The little cottage was wonderful, and the bath-and-body stuff inside the medicine cabinet was a welcome surprise, as was the two bottles of Shiner Boch in the fridge. Showed photos of this place to tons of people during SXSW and everyone agreed: I won on my rental.

    Dan2013-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third time staying here and it's still awesome! It's within close proximity to everything we want but far enough for the privacy we look for when choosing for a place to stay. Would always recommend this tiny house to anyone headed to Austin.

    Shelby2014-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really fantastic and not nearly as small as "micro" seems to imply. Everything you can possibly need in a great, efficient package, on a pretty amazing spread of land. Highly recommended.

    Chris2013-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Adam's place was absolutely perfect for what we were needing for a long weekend. It was a breeze getting to and from downtown Austin and made for a nice escape to end the days at. We have zero complaints, thanks again Adam! You made the process easy and enjoyable.

  • My husband, infant son and I stayed in this lovely guest house during a long weekend in Austin for a UT alumni event. It was exactly as pictured, quiet, and in a fantastic location close to downtown Austin. Amina was a wonderful host, and we would stay here again on another trip to ATX. Thank you, Amina!

    Emily2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space was amazing, clean and comfortable! Amina is a fabulous host that is easy to contact and offers great suggestions for the area. We were only in town for one night but she still went above and beyond. The house had everything you would need if staying for one night or a week! I definitely recommend this space and Amina as a host!

    Sophie2018-04-08T00:00:00Z

  • Such a lovely place to stay- a great location nearby tons of fun things to do; also so clean and nicely furnished with lots of toiletries just in case you forgot something. Also Amina was so great and flexible and easy to get a hold of, she facilitated 2 last minute reservation changes and coming before check in time to drop off our bags- she went above and beyond to give us a great stay!

  • I loved my stay here. I came to Austin for a convention downtown, and it was easy to get there from here (barring a bit of traffic). Check in was quick and easy and I had no issues during my stay. They even provided bottled water and snacks, which really came in handy during the convention! I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Joshua was very helpful and kind host. My family and I was very pleased with our stay. We appreciate the mini breakfast bar and water in the fridge. If you are looking for comfortable beds, spacious rooms, great lighting, easy to use kitchen sink, well stock bathroom, and appropriate level of privacy, then you should check out Joshua and Tiffany's listing.

    An2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Joshua and Tiffany for one evening, everything was clean and comfortable, the room was very nice and the bed was super comfy after a crazy night in 6th street! Overall they were very accommodating hosts and very friendly and answered any questions and concerns I had! Thanks for the wonderful stay

    Lauren2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany & Josh were both very welcoming! The little apt has everything you need and everything was nice and clean. Couldn't ask for anything more and you wouldn't need anything more. Location is great and easy to find in a nice area, only a 15 min drive to downtown. Would definitely stay here again!

    Andy2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great house and comfy beds! Thanks

    Francois2018-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place was simple and comfortable. Tiffany and Josh were very thorough and kind.

    Colleen2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This little apartment was adorable. Comfortable, clean, and art for sale on the walls. Great host. Super accommodating to our tardiness due to exhaustion, and still friendly! The keurig, mini fridge, and microwave (bag of popcorn included) was a super nice touch. Pamphlets and a clipboard with local suggestions were amazing little touches. Artsy but homey as well. Great place for a family of four to stay.

    Dani2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This listing is absolutely wonderful. The space looks brand new, and it has room for at least six people without being a little crowded!! It has everything you need for a long stay, and it's clear that Tiffany and Joshua are excited to have people staying in their listing! They are super accommodating and let us check in late and change our check out time in the morning.

*Aug 2018 New, COLD A/C !!* Cielo Room is a natural, well-lit bedroom (full bathroom, queen bed, cotton sheets) with a private off-street parking spot, and separate entrance. Newly built, the second story room is comfortable and lofty, with many windows looking out onto our East Austin neighborhood. Our dog is in the yard but not in the apartment. Yes wifi. No TV. Yes coffeemaker, yes electric kettle, yes fridge, no microwave. Please bring your own toiletries; towels, hand soap, & iron provided.
  • The Cielo room was quiet, spacious, bright, super clean and elegant. It's just off a side street down a quiet alley. There are other neighbors so it feels very safe yet private. Ginger was very accommodating. Highly recommend renting a bike - Austin is a fantastic biking city. Cenote (Website hidden by Airbnb) nearby on Cesar Chavez is a wonderful coffee and dining spot.

    James Dean2014-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time using Airbnb and it was great! Ginger's 2nd story apartment that we rented for 3 days was exactly like the photos. It was clean and quiet and comfortable. The location was great! We walked to downtown to explore Austin easily every day from here.

    Allison2015-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger was very kind with us and the Cielo Room was perfect!

    Ginevra2015-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time and will definitely come again

    Timothy2014-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very conveniently located, and had everything we needed! It was a perfect little weekend getaway.

    Ashley2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • The listing was accurate. The space was a cute bedroom and bath, "in the trees" in the cool east Austin neighboehood. We were conveniently located to everything we wanted to do. Ginger left us the key and we came and went with privacy. We had a super stay and would recommend her as a host. She also communicated with us in advance of our stay with everything we needed.

    Kristen2014-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We love this cozy place that feels like a treehouse. This is our second time staying there for the holidays. It is full of light and It's very convenient to delicious coffee just a block away.

    Alice2016-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We appreciated the convenience and privacy of this place. The only problem is that it was really hot and the ac had a hard time cooling down the room. We opened the window, but the humid Austin night air wasn’t any relief.

  • Great spot. We will definitely visit again!

    Jenn2017-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed the little trailer and the out door shower and indoor latrine.

    Kevin2017-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was definitely the cutest little place I've ever stayed in Austin - trumps staying in a hotel by a long shot. A kind note for those planning to shower and get ready there: Be sure to bring a hair dryer if you need one! I did not 😐

    Cassidy2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect spot: both close to everything you want to do in town, and just far enough away to get some peace and quiet. Also, major shout out to the outdoor shower. Felt like camp!

    Sid2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • I could not be happier staying at Angel's happy camper. It was, quirky and roomie. Bathroom in the seperate spot is big, can easily store your extra luggage. Outdoor shower is seriously fun with towels, shampoo, body wash provided. Bathroom door is very versatile as I used it as a screen to give myself a little more privacy while showering. There is a deck with cute table&chairs - to be shared with the big house in same property - but we had it all to ourselves when dinner time came. Yes, there are mozzies but electric fan in bathroom moved to the deck helped. All in all it was a sensational experience for our first Airbnb stay. Thank u,Angel.

    Anthana2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This camper was a great experience. The space was very comfortable and cozy. My friend and I spent a week here and felt right at home. Angel was very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. The location was also perfect for us as everything we needed was less than a 15 minute drive away. The newly renovated outdoor shower and bathroom were nicely done as well. I highly recommend this rental!

    Rachel2014-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Angel and the happy camper were great! Angel rolled out the carpet for me and the place is super super cute. It was very very hot the few days I stayed and the AC was splendid as was the outdoor shower. The neighborhood was amazing too and just a short, cheap ride from the airport by cab. On this trip I learned a few new things about Austin including "Moonlight towers" of which there are several close by (but not so close they prevent you from sleeping) phew.
