Vacation rentals with a kayak in Erie Canal

Staying at Mara's house was exactly what we needed to welcome in 2025. The house itself is immaculate, well appointed, comfortable and has incredible lakefront views to tie it all together. Getting around the Cayuga Lake area was so easy from where the house is located and there are even some incredible wineries and breweries minutes away. The layout and setup of the house was very thoughtfully done and everything we needed (and more) was there. 10/10 excellent stay.

Absolutely loved both the home and the setting - so much so that I inquired about purchasing - unfortunately for me, not for sale - truly a great place - highest recommendation - Christian was a great host - very responsive and helpful - don’t hesitate to book - you’ll love it!

This air bnb was amazing it had everything as listed. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and had an amazing time! The door code wasn’t working when we got there but I quickly called Josh and he handled it so quickly and perfectly. The house is beautiful and filled with mostly everything ! The view was stunning right when you walk into the master bedroom you see the large lake! Truly such a good stay I definitely recommend, might come back in the summer to enjoy the kayaks and the lake!

My family and I attended our niece's wedding nearby in Victor. There were 10 of us staying, so we needed a place to stay that could accommodate all of us. Serenity Shores was perfect. Plenty of room, peaceful, beautiful view of the lake, spacious enough for all of us to get ready for the wedding. Then such a relaxing place to hang out and rest for a couple of days before heading home. The only issue we had was there only being a spiral staircase between upstairs and downstairs. My 84 year old mother was with us and couldn't do the spiral staircase. Upstairs is level with the driveway/parking, but with the kitchen being downstairs, it was better for her to stay down there. It worked out, there is a path that goes down a hill on the outside of the house to a patio and sliding doors. The path is loose stone, so we held on to mom while she walked down. It wasn't much of a problem, Mom loved the place. Just an FYI. Bottom line, 5 stars. Our family made some great memories.

From start to finish Zoe was very responsive and accommodating. The bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean and neat. The bedding was very comfortable. We cooked a dinner and a breakfast and the kitchen was stocked well enough to make both these meals easy.

We decided on Frank's place for our 8th wedding anniversary! It was so nice to enjoy the hot tub looking over the flowing river. Space was clean, comfy beds, and super easy check in. Frank even let us check in early which was nice with our toddler and infant. We plan to return in the summer months to enjoy sitting out back with that view ! Thanks again.

Christine was the kindest, most communicative host I have encountered! She was helpful and available when we had questions. The home itself is beautiful and has a lovely view of the lake. We enjoyed watching the fall foliage while we sipped our coffee and relaxed. The first night was warm enough for us to use the patio and fire pit, which was so peaceful. We were a bit late in the season to utilize the lake, but I imagine this would be a great spot for lake activities in the warmer weather, too. Easy drive to downtown Cooperstown and any destinations we traveled to. Parking directions were clear and easy to follow.

Brianna is a wonderful host, very friendly, always available and ready to help in anything we may need. The house is like a Dream House. Lovely living room with a fireplace, TV and a big and comfy sofa. Every room in the house was excellently decorated with a high test and good sense of space making you feel warm and welcome, like your own home. The surroundings are so beautiful that you even have a river running in the backyard. Like fairytale stories. The most amazing thing is the Kitchen fully equipped with seasonings, coffee, tea and beautiful crockery and pot sets. Everything you may need for a memorable vacation is here! We loved this place and definitely we're going to come back. Thank you very much Brianna, you're amazing!

Great place, beautiful lake and the softest pillows I’ve ever laid my head on.

We had a wonderful stay hanging out near the rivers edge. We were provided with ample firewood and smores as a welcome gift :) very thoughtful. We look forward to coming back during summer to do some kayaking

Beautiful place to stay. The cottage had everything we could ever ask for for a 3 day fishing escape. Neat and comfortable rooms and living space, a great outdoor deck space, combined with the outdoor fire pit and wood stove inside. Made our fishing trip more memorable!

Kates home was wonderful! Very peaceful and a beautiful view. Location had everything one could need and more, me and my crew would stay anytime and recommend it to anyone looking around the area! Nothing but great things to say.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable and spotlessly clean place! Very convenient to spa in Aurora and hosts provide every convenience from kitchen gadgets to streaming services. Highly recommend

An excellent stay with incredibly responsive hosts. Snowed while we were here and it was a winter wonderland. Kid friendly, quiet; a great place to reset.

Our stay at Kara’s was wonderful. We rented the house and the bungalow, both of which very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed. The pictures are exactly what you will get. Well decorated, comfortable furniture, and washer/dryer in both units. We spent lots of time in the water, and having kayaks provided was a bonus! The porches were great for meal times together and playing games. The beachfront was awesome for getting in and out of the lake, especially with the kayaks. Location was super. Just over a mile into town, so close to grocery store, etc.. We loved our stay here and would definitely book again. Kara was super responsive!

Simply spectacular. This cabin and the property is beautiful. We had an amazing weekend stay and enjoyed every moment. The fall foliage was breathtaking and kayaking on Lake Pleasant was so fun. The cabin has everything you need for a well equipped and cozy stay. Lots of games and what a nice treat to have the s’mores and starter basket of coffee, tea, & hot cocoa. We can’t wait to come back and spend more time at this slice of paradise.

This was our second time staying at Ania and Stan’s beautiful cabin and just as we anticipated, it did not disappoint! If you are looking for a getaway that feels as cozy as bringing your home to stunning Lake George, this is the place for you! Ania has truly thought of everything! The location really can’t be beat! You have a stunning view of Lake George mixed with the peaceful quiet of the woods surrounding you. If you’re a fan of the night sky, bring your camera because its absolutely breathtaking being able to see so many stars shining right above you. The cabin is so close to town which makes it so easy to get out and really enjoy all that Lake George has to offer. The beds, sofas and linens are all so comfy and cozy. Ania even gave us the heads up that the weather was going to drop quite a bit during our stay and had space heaters already set up to get the cabin nice and comfy for us upon arrival. I cant express enough how much we enjoyed our stay, we cannot wait to get back! 🤍

We came to Mark & Patti’s cabin for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing! It was accessible in the winter (plowed roads/driveway), had everything we needed for a comfortable winter stay. We couldn’t use the porch due to snow/ice, but that’s completely understandable in the wintertime conditions in the ADK. Access to internet/TV, and games made it fun. We wanted to be close to the ADK park and wild areas to explore, and this location provided the perfect locale to access trails and recreation. Also, the towns of Speculator and Wells have plenty of local shops and places to go in town. We visited Wilcox Lake Wild Forest to go snowshoeing, and there’s plenty more locations to visit to fish or hike. Mark & Patti made sure we couldn’t want for anything during our stay, were responsive and helpful, and were truly wonderful hosts. We hope to visit again in the future so we can kayak and enjoy the Floe during warmer months. :)

Our favorite place to go in New York. We love that the cabin has everything we need and is right on the lake. Our entire family enjoys this experience and look forward to coming back every year!!!

I've stayed at a couple dozen AirBnB's over the years, but this most recent one, Jacqui's place on Spruce Lake, goes right to the top of my list of best AirBnB experiences. It has an amazing location, is wonderfully designed and decorated, pristinely clean and functional, but most of all, it has an indefinably cozy and peaceful vibe. A lovely retreat from the world, and a great place to hang out in front of a roaring fire ( it has a truly magnificent fireplace) with loved ones.

This house was beyond our expectations. The home was immaculate and so beautifully designed and equipped with anything one could need. We had the best time and can’t wait to return!

An absolutely incredible stay! I will say, the pictures were gorgeous but boy was it even better when we got there. It exceeded expectations. Sarah was so responsive and helpful. The cottage and property was well maintained. You definitely feel like you’re staying at a person’s home. The books, games, open floor plan, soaking tub, all make you feel cozy and if your staying at a friends cabin without the guilt of being an intrusive guest. The bugs deterred us from being outside at night, but that is to be expected with the view. The kayaks were easy to use and not far from a sandy shore and lake. We stuck to the middle tiny island and floated. It is not deep. The private beaches are not necessary but there is a small area near the painted frog rock where you can place your kayak if you are alone and want to swim. I was told by the renter’s it was fine but you want to ask because I don’t know if it’s technically private shoreline. Sitting in the living room playing trivia and hiking Auger Falls was our family’s highlight and bringing our dog made him so happy. He is still tired! It was the perfect combination of rustic charm with excellent amenities.
