Alison is the perfect host and serves you a wonderful continental breakfast. Room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. I loved the location of the accomodation in a very quite and private neighbourhood and just 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful street and area of Lewes. Thank you!

I had a wonderful stay at the cottage, I only wish I could have stayed longer! The garden was the real selling point for me and it did not disappoint. There are multiple areas to sit and eat and lounge whilst overlooking the cutting beds. Sally-Ann even brought over home made elderflower cordial - what a treat! Theres a covered spot to sit outside even when it’s raining which I love - luckily the weather was beautiful for me. My other favorite thing was sitting in bed looking through the huge picture window in the bedroom to the garden. A really inspiring stay and I can imagine it’s beautiful through all the different seasons.

I had a comfortable room in Jane’s home. Other guests arrived and we had a fine time connecting in Jane’s kitchen. Jane laid out a simple nourishing breakfast, made coffee or tea. The location was excellent. Jane was a considerate and friendly hostess. Thank you!

I would say this is one of my favorite places in the UK, truly a hidden gem!! No one would ever regret coming here. Carol and Clive are very helpful and caring. They have a fantastic home in a lovely neighborhood with a huge, beautiful garden. You can spot sheep every day, and they take good care of every plant and even prepare food for the birds. They also leave a bowl of water outside for passing dogs, so sweet! The bed was super comfortable, I slept like a baby every night. The whole village of Lamberhurst is filled with birdsong, and every corner is peaceful and charming. I loved all the restaurants I visited, and everyone I met was genuinely friendly. I’ll definitely come back and stay longer next time. Thanks a mill for everything :)

Sam’s place was such a magical find. I arrived after a walk through beautiful scenery, to find this gorgeous cottage, next to a lively pub. I had a couple of short chats with Sam, and it’s clear that she’s found a fantastic area of the world, full of inspiration. I found it hard to leave, I found characters, birdlife and scenery that had me feeling like I was in a story.

I had a wonderful time staying with Sue. The house is beautiful, lovingly furnished and very clean. The room I stayed in was cozy, and the breakfast was delicious. The house is in a peaceful area, within walking distance of many nice cafés and restaurants. Sue and her husband were very welcoming. I highly recommend staying here!

We had the absolute best time staying at Boldshaves. D and Peregrine were wonderful hosts! They were so accommodating and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The grounds are incredible and seemed almost endless! Truly, I don’t think I have seen such beautiful gardens. The bedrooms were quite big—perfect for letting our luggage breathe a bit—and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast was also really fantastic with so many special touches!! We feel really fortunate that we found this gem. It was the highlight of our trip!!

Melanie helped us out after another host let us down and all of our party loved our stay. Beds comfortable, bathrooms and rooms immaculate and an amazing breakfast! Would recommend to anyone hiking in the area and we will be stopping through again! Many thanks to the whole team!

We had the most wonderful stay - Sally and Simon have created a unique and beautiful space which is perfect for an escape from the hustle and bustle of life. They have done a spectacular job of refurbishing the carriage, resulting in an experience which far exceeds expectations. Caroline is a very attentive and engaging host. Her cottage is immaculate and the bedroom was very well appointed with an extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious, the home made bread a delight. I would recommend Caroline and her house as a place to stay in the beautiful, quiet countryside of East Sussex.

An exceptional stay with exceptional hosts. The house was delightful and it was lovely to see the art work around. My husband really enjoyed meeting the cats, had a very comfortable night's sleep and felt very welcomed. Jennifer provided an impressive array of breakfast foods and was very kind. Highly recommend the Oast Hse and the hosts.

Mary’s communicate was great, responsive and helpful. Great location for me from Newhaven port and to the different locations I was travelling to around Hailsham. Lovely home from home, clean, welcoming with safe parking for my car. Fabulous couple, one to keep for when I’m travelling via DFDS, Newhaven. Look forward to my next trip.

We felt like home, slept like babies, comfortable and the bathroom reminds us of sea side. when we go to that area again, we know where to book and Jeanette was very helpful and accommodating.

My wife and myself stayed in Mark and Steve's beautiful home. The instructions were very informative. The room was lovely and overlooked a private school and playing fields. Tea coffee and snacks were provided and a morning breakfast. Both were very friendly and welcoming. We chatted with Mark over breakfast who is charming and well travelled. We hope to stay again as we have family in the area. The property is a short walk to kemp Town and Brighton. 10 out of 10.

One of the best stays i ever had, the environment was just like home and on top of that, they will make sure and do their best to make your stay memorable and worth every penny. Blindly recommended

We had a very pleasant stay with Carole and Mark. The place was spotless and it was a great hub for exploring the South Downs coast by car. There is also private parking and it is close to local amenities and shops.

Lovely room, very clean, cosy & decent size. Bed was extremely comfy & soft.. Everything what was needed was there & more.. Hot tub, sauna & garden was also beautiful added extra.. My dog loved his time there also & was welcomed warmly along with myself. Very friendly, helpful & responsive hosts! Will definitely be coming back 🙌

I booked this for my parents as a short break to celebrate their wedding anniversary. they both had a lovely time and spoke very highly of the accommodation and the staff, thank you for making their weekend special!

I stayed at Val’s house for a night whilst I went to a wedding nearby. Val is absolutely lovely and was so helpful and responsive before getting there and whilst staying. Her house is beautiful and the room was lovely. A huge comfy bed, loads of room and the bathroom was really clean. Parking was super easy too - right outside the house in a safe gated driveway. Val made a delicious breakfast in the morning for me and I was able to say what time I would like it. She was so attentive whilst giving me space and was very relaxed with timings etc making the whole experience absolutely wonderful. I would absolutely stay there again if I’m in the area. Thank you so much Val!

Amazing place to stay, the room was great and the setting was beautiful. Linda and Mike were perfect hosts, from a lovely warm welcome and a well stocked breakfast in the fridge, plenty of tea and coffee options (very appreciated). Highly recommend this place to stay.

We only stayed the night as we were taking part in a charity event, so it was short and sweet, but the house was amazing. Michele couldn’t do enough for us! The room was beautiful and clean, as well as the bathroom. Bed was so comfy!! Lovely treats left for us in the room. We had to leave very early the next morning, so didn’t get to take advantage of the cooked breakfast, but a lovey alternative was left for us. We felt right at home. We would definitely stay again, but for longer. Thank you for being an amazing host Michele xx

What a fabulous place to stay. We had the most wonderful time at Yvonne’s. This is a real luxury retreat. The house and gardens are absolutely beautiful set in the most glorious surrounding country side with astonishing views. They even have a tree house you can stay in! We had a wonderful welcome from Yvonne she is really friendly and super helpful. Our room was beautifully decorated and with a cosy bed and fabulous chic bathroom. We stayed at Lamberhurst to visit local gardens Pashley Manor, Great Dixter and Scotney Castle literally on the door step. There is a pub opposite the property serving fantastic food and wonderful to be able to stroll back to our room after a bottle of wine. Yvonne served a delicious breakfast with eggs from their own hens 😃. This is a place we will definitely return to especially when the pool is open. There is so much to explore in the area and this is the perfect place to stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Good spacious room with good amenities and really friendly staff. Comfy beds and lovely bath! Even your own coffee machine.

Great location close to Brighton and other lovely villages. Had an amazing dinner at the Griffin in Fletching which is v nearby!
