Chef Step was a great host! He was incredibly accommodating and super kind. I ended up getting food poisoning and he made me tea and got me some medicine which was very much appreciated. The first morning that we were there, he even cooked for us - chicken and waffles 10/10. I would 1000% stay with Chef Step next time I am in NYC.

Very comfortable beds. Great kitchen. Good to have two bathrooms. Space is tight in the living area but to be expected in NYC. Decor a little tired which detracted from first impression of the apartment but overall we were very happy with our stay. Responsive helpful hosts. Really enjoyed our time in the Lower East Side!

The Michelangelo staff were extremely polite, professional and courteous! The hotel is located in a great spot with lots of nearby attractions and great restaurants. The rooms are exactly as pictured and were well kept and clean- would definitely recommend

Really liked the place. Its cozy and had all we needed for our trip including a 7-11 for snacks and drinks and a bus stop right beside that brought us to New York where we spent the majority of our trip. The area is very nice too.

I visited here with my 10yo son who loves jazz. The flophouse is a quick walk from two different subway stations. The place had character and we felt as if we were stepping back in time to a bygone era. We listened to Rene's music group, Strawberry Mouth, for an evening "Tuesday is Blues Day" performance. Very glad we stayed a little bit outside of the main Manhattan hustle.

The staff were amazing especially the doormen!!! Pleasant to talk to and helpful with any questions we had. Excellent location as EVERYTHING was right outside the door of the hotel. The suite was amazing and on the inner side of the hotel not facing traffic. No view but soooooooo quiet. Lots of restaurants, stores, food carts, stores nearby and Time square was a walk across the street. Comfy bed, amazing shower and lots of space to store clothes and such. Used the safe in the room to store money and passports. Ordered room service for breakfast which was expensive for two but added a nice touch to start the day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

In the past month I’ve stayed at the Wall Street Inn 3 different nights. It’s convenient for me to stay overnight when I have clients in NYC back-to-back (instead of commuting back & forth to Philly in a 24 hour period). Checking in and checking out are always seamless, the hotel clerks are friendly and helpful, and they allow their guests to leave luggage in a protected room after their stay is over. The hotel is ideally located right in the center of the historic Wall Street area of NYC, and there are plenty of great restaurants, pubs, and other entertainment all centered in that area. The rooms are tidy and spacious, and many of them have great views of the picturesque old stone streets below. The Wall Street Inn has become like a home away from home for me, and I look forward to staying there again in the near future!

place was easy to find. very clean and nicely decorated. wifi was working great. only thing I have to mention is room was a bit small (but this I had read in the reviews already before booking and was comfortable with the choice). Staff was friendly and proactive. both check in and check out went smoothly. I realized though that Bedsheets are not changed in between days, and I could have missed this in the instructions or somewere. otherwise, I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Stayed for on site wedding. Room was nice and clean and staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Amazing amazing amazing! I loved everything about the hotel. The rooms were big, spacious, clean, comfortable, the balcony was a plus and the restaurant near the main lobby had a great bartender; that made our drinks extra good! Also, parking was fairly easy to find and the hotel location was perfectly located close to Manhattan! I would recommend just double checking and confirming the room type you are booking, since there are many different options and room styles! I would stay here over & over again 🌸!

We Love The Box House! As a former NYC resident, it's not easy to find a spot that feels like home when returning to the city. Much less, a spot that feels nicer than home! This was my second stay at The Box House, and I don't think I'll be booking anywhere else for future trips back to the city. They are easily my #1 choice. The rooms are sparkling clean, beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, and have great views of the city. It's so lovely to come back to a hotel at the end of a long day, and to be taken care of by staff who truly care. I'm just as happy going out as I am staying in, which I think is the mark of a truly great place. Thank you, Box House Hotel! See you soon. :)

I almost wish i hadn't seen the photos - the Flophouse is unique, quirky and beautiful. René was very thorough and responsive and his friend who looked after the place in his absence was lovely. This was a wonderful place to come home to because it felt like home, not a sterile hotel room. Thank you René and Felipe

The place is in a quiet neighborhood and close to the river, we always returned around midnight and felt calm walking back. The rooms are clean and just like the photos. The metro station is a 10-minute walk away. A new jacket we had bought disappeared and no one took responsibility. If there is an event or party in the hotel, a lot of noise can be heard in the rooms. In general, it was a good place to stay and we had a window with an incredible view of the city.

We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s place — it had everything we needed, and it was easy enough to get to other areas of Brooklyn, by train or citibike. She was very responsive and we appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out due to our travel schedule. The bedroom faces the street so keep that in mind if you’re a light sleeper, but we were fine for the most part. And, of course, Sana the cat was so friendly and certainly added to the stay!
