Island vacation rentals in East Africa

Our stay on Bulago island at Tom's house was just great. From the house, beautifully situated above the water on the far west tip of the island, you have an amazing view over the lake, which gets even better with every step you climb up behind the house up to the hill, which is the highest point of the island. The house is fully equipped with all you need and Tom is an awesome host! We'll soon be back.

Our stay at the Samaria Lodge was particularly exquisite; a green setting on the edge of a charming natural pool; corals , shellfish and colorful fish a few fathoms away; comfortable bungalows, tastefully decorated; beautiful terrace with garden furniture to lounge; daily cleaning; not to mention the hospitality and extreme kindness of hosts Marc and Peggy; totally dedicated and attentive; good advice from Marc for outings; everything is organized with meticulousness; Peggy's kitchen,delicious; a real blue cordon; anxious to please and make discover the local cuisine; in short ,a choice of charm and great quality for those who wish to recharge. A real treat for waking outdoors and taste buds. Thank you again for everything. Have your eyes closed!

We had a great stay at Iles de Palmes! The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and they made sure we had everything we needed. They also organized a great snorkeling trip for us and a rental car that was waiting for us at the jetty. The interior of the cottages is pretty and the location of the hotel right at the waterfront is beautiful!

It was a big deal,that apartments were free on our travel dates. First, apartments were fantastic, very clean, disigned with love and they had a great locality and beautiful view from a room. We relaxed on the beach and sometimes near the swimming pool. We used electrocar to travel around the nearby territories, enjoying the nature. second, we've got feeling that friends invited us to this place, they were kind and mindful. They tried to please us in their service. Tasty meals were offered. It was a great satisfaction not only to eat, but watch on them, because they were in many ways artist's masterpiece.

Beautiful and large house, garden, and beach. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, in-house chef made delicious food, the beach was basically private and the owners communicated well with us. The location is fairly remote but even without our own transport, we were able to take a taxi to diani without a problem. The beach itself is fairly shallow so massive swims are not really an option but snorkeling works and it is still very beautiful. Would come here again any day. Thank you team!

We were totally happy about the outside area. Being able to look over the beach right in the morning with a first coffee is a special feature of this accommodation. We left a little earlier than planned, as the children were afraid of the small animals like crabs, but they are completely normal for a house on the beach. I also had a completely nice and understanding communication with Dominique about this. Can recommend it.

A beautiful holiday home, nestled in the the foot of the mountain with great views. All information provided at booking stage, which assisted with car hire, excursions everything we needed. Denis & Helena were also very helpful throughout our stay, and Helena made us a very tasty chicken curry. All in all, a highly recommended villa not far from many other beautiful sights to see in the surrounding areas.

Our stay at Cote D'Or Beach was wonderful. Most beautiful beach and surroundings, lovely swimming, peaceful and very good food.

We stayed in Chole Sana for two days. We were greeted by Rajab the owner's brother who was a very nice host. The accommodation overlooks the bay of Chole and the place is very quiet. No worries about electricity. Rajab was very available, showed us around the village and even offered various activities (visit ruins on the island of Juani, lunch on a sand bank...). The diving clubs in the city of Utende that are on Mafia can even pick you up directly on Chole and take you back there. We loved our stay, you can go there without hesitation to enjoy this haven of peace.

An absolute paradise. Comfortable, quiet, relaxing with great food and stunning surroundings.
