Easdale Cottage

TomRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A great place to stay in a beautiful and unique location. We spent a week on Easdale. Without roads, the island has a bit of a feeling of being an outpost (without actually being remote - it's just 2 mins on the boat that runs regularly all day) and that made the trip just a little different to most. It is so tranquil and not far from Oban, which has all the shops and places to eat you could wish for in this part of the world. Highlights included a day trip to climb Ben Nevis (Dad and 11 YO son - left early and back in good time for dinner, lucky with the weather!), a winter swim in one of the quarries and just general pootling around the small island and enjoying the wonderful views off towards Mull. The house itself is very comfortable, we spent plenty of family time in the living room relaxing. Kitchen is well equipped and Ross the owner was very friendly and helpful during our stay. Highly recommended.

I came for a little getaway from the city and had the most lovely time. The area is beautiful and the hut was so cosy, it was the perfect little hideaway! Would definitely recommend! :)

Seashell Cottage

DianeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seashell Cottage. It was a quiet location with easy access to other locations and all amenities. We went on lots of day trips and walks that were recommended by the host which we really enjoyed. Our dog loved it too. The cottage was well stocked with everything you needed for cooking. Thank you for the bottle of wine Annabel!

Charming accommodation, decorated with care, quality amenities in an idyllic setting with sea views. A haven of peace! The people met on the island are welcoming. I recommend the boat ride (departure in front of the island) with Seafari.

Argyll Retreat by Lock Eck. Argyll Forest Park.

Amazing location and accommodation. We wanted to go and do a lot of hill walking with our dogs and it didn’t disappoint! Absolutely beautiful place. Robbie was accommodation from the get go, giving clear and precise instructions on how to get in to the property. He also gave us extra time to check out which was appreciated. Very accommodating and friendly and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Would stay again.

The Granary

janeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Myself husband and adult son spent 6 wonderful nights at the georgeous granary on the beautiful tranquil Isle of Seal. The Granary proved to be the perfect choice for us, exceptionally clean cosy warm peaceful private & well equipped. Comfy beds & bedding. Two fantastic showers! We were blessed with good weather most days considering it was November & the Autumn colours were stunning! Boat & ferry trips to the local island were a real blast of fun & very worthwhile with views of other Hebridean islands. Longer distance sight seeing day trips to Fort William (including Corran ferry) & The Mull if Kintyre can be had if you enjoy driving like my husband does! We saw seals, stags, wild deer, highland cattle, castles, birds of prey & alround phenomenal views & don't get me stared on the awe-inspiring mountains! The Granary at Balvicar on the Isle of Seil has given us special precious memories that will last a life time! Thank you very much indeed Maire & Rachel we'll promote you to all!
