Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Dutchess County

Garrett and Paul's place met our needs well. We spent very little time there, but the beds were comfy, and the place was very clean and comfortable. It was quiet, and felt very safe. There are a couple of kitchen features that would keep me from a longer stay if I wanted to cook there. Do look at the photos carefully...there is only a plug-in single-burner cooktop. Also, the sink in the bathroom doubles as a kitchen sink. Just depends what the renters' needs are. It definitely worked for our needs.

We had a fantastic 2-night stay at Jim’s beautiful old home. So clean, so thoughtful & tasteful decorated. Great first sunny day for biking & hiking on Harlem Valley Rail Trail and close to restaurants in town. But also great second day when caught in snowstorm. Jim’s house is warm, cozy, comfortable, perfect for a day to relax, read, watch movies, cook, and enjoy the beautiful view. Thank you and we will certainly come back.

Where to start?! This beautiful home is situated right on the esopus creek. There are songbirds, ducks, geese and some very pretty Osprey around the property. The house itself is clean and modern with everything you could possibly need for a getaway. Tim was so helpful and accommodating with us. We loved our stay and the area. We would absolutely recommend staying here!

We had the absolute best stay at Jeanie’s home! It was beautiful, spacious, and so well decorated, and the property couldn’t be more peaceful. The chickens and ducks in the backyard were so fun to watch, and really made the stay so magical. Jeanie was so helpful too, with lots of local recommendations and made our whole trip so easy! The house oozes with charm and character, and we couldn’t have loved it more!

What a perfect place to stay! We were very comfortable in Hazel’s little retreat… we slept well in the king sized bed, had plenty of hot water, loved the bucolic green space and the creek nearby. Our dogs had great walks under the canopy of huge trees surrounding the property. I especially enjoyed watching and hearing the ducks, geese and swans across the street as they paddled to the pond! Thank you, Hunter for providing a perfect getaway spot for your guests!

The historic home on River Road in Hyde Park was really cool. The home is cozy, decorated beautifully with art and interesting pieces. The rooms were spacious and were perfect for our needs. The location was GREAT, the views of the Hudson River were lovely and it was so easy to get to Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, as well as Poughkeepsie, and the bridge to the other side of the river. Very quiet street and the Amtrak train whizzing by was not an issue at all.

This was our second time coming to this house for spring break with our friends. We really enjoyed our time here. The kids had a blast. In fact, they were the ones that were begging to come back this year. Great house. Super comfortable. Clean and bright! And the host are extremely responsive!

Really enjoyed our stay in Saugerties! The house was super clean and in a great spot—just a short walk to town. We had fun exploring the shops and grabbing food at local restaurants, and the park nearby was perfect for the kids. Would totally stay here again!

Pictures don’t do justice! Craig’s place was lovely, from the amazing kitchen to the spacious living room and the outdoor patio. For a group getaway this is the perfect place. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This was our family’s second stay at the farm - it remains a standout experience and property, and we hope we can come back.

The place was much bigger than the photos and we enjoyed the stay! especially the indoor fireplace and the house is beautifully decorated. Blake was a great host, she did a quick tour of the place when we arrived and gave us some flexible check out time because of the weather/road condition (thank you!) even though we left just before the check out time. Overall, it was a wonderful stay :)

Upon entry, my architect husband said "Cute Cottage; Susan you did it again." Plenty of room for a couple in their mid-seventies, and a Millennial daughter. The cottage is very well insulated such that I didn't have to run the heat except for fifteen minutes at bedtime in mid-October, yet there is a big south-facing sliding door in each of the rooms where the sun and moon shines through. Beautiful woodland falls away from the cottage and small patio beyond the sliding doors, and moonlight is magic on all the leaves. If we had more time we would have investigated the many books in the shelving. We will find excuses for coming back to the area and will stay here again.

Tina’s place is fabulous. The modern decor and architecture is beautiful. The location is peaceful and the fenced in yard was amazing; our dog loved roaming around and exploring. The outdoor space is great for grilling and sitting around the fire pit. We especially loved the kitchen. It is fully appointed and the kitchen island is incredible for prep and serving. The washer dryer combo was an excellent touch and we were able to do a couple of quick washes so that everything was clean and ready to unpack at home. Saving the best for last; the soaker tub in the master bedroom is luxurious and relaxing. Thank you, Tina. We can’t wait to visit again soon.

A great long weekend getaway! Loved the hot tub! Host was very friendly and responsive!

The house is amazing, and the host was responsive! The location is beautiful and quiet, perfect spot for a getaway. The only advice I would give is to arrange transportation ahead of time. We relied on Uber/Lfyt, and while we ended up being able to make it work, drivers often weren’t willing to drive all the way out there and we were nearly stranded and had to adjust our plans to make sure we had a ride. But if you have a car or rental, this is the perfect spot! Only 20 minute drive from downtown Kingston, but feels very remote and cozy.

Amy's place was great for our group of 4. Comfortable, clean and quality! She was very communicative. We loved the backyard patio and grill and had no problems or issues with the place.

Great place and even better than the pictures. Very quiet.

Daniel’s house was absolutely perfect for us (a couple and dog). It’s really thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, and immaculately clean. The beds are lovely, linens are nice - all the appointments that you appreciate in a quality hotel experience, but so hard to find in a small upstate AirBnB. It’s nicely located and close to plenty of things and places you want to go to, but very quiet and private. We have stayed in many, many small houses upstate and this was among the nicest. We will definitely stay again.

We (my husband, son and I) had a wedding at a West Park Vineyard and were lucky to come across Cornelia's listing. Located in a private quiet, setting overlooking the Hudson River, this space is large with effective daylighting to take in the beautiful countryside setting. It is comfortably furnished and sparkling clean with a whole host of amenities including fresh half and half and coffee!!! This was truly appreciated. And... the bathroom floor was heated. We loved it and we will be back!

The 5 of us, plus a little dog thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at this super spacious, clean, and well-stocked house. The house is within walking distance to the shops and restaurants in town. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the area!

Great place to stay for our short weekend in Beacon! Convenient location, dog-friendly, and very easy to check in and out. Would recommend!

The A-Frame in Rhinebeck was a perfect place for us to stay. We loved walking along the gravel road with views of Silver Lake, and very happy that the home was pet friendly, our traveling cat was very cozy in front of the heaters. Amy was easy to reach and communicative during our stay, and the kitchen is in fact fully-stocked for cooking, we were able to make full meals without missing utensils or pots/pans. The main bedroom with the queen bed faces the east and gets full morning sun, so bring an eye mask if you're looking to sleep in. We'd be happy to return as this was perfect proximity for us to some of our favorite places, Branchwater Farms, Suarez Family Brewery, Holy Cow Ice Cream and the Golden Russet.

Dogtail studio was so calm and comfy! Alex is a great host! The space felt like home. Clean and spacious. A full kitchen stocked with all utensils needed. The decor was so cute and modern. Bed and couch were so comfy! Our dog was welcomed and there was even a dog bed and bowls! The neighborhood is great as well. Stop into Dover Stone Church. Alot of great food around there too! I hope we are invited back! We give Alex’s place a 20/10 ! Thanks for the hospitality !
