Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Douglas County

This was a great place with plenty of space for my family in a convenient area with restaurants and grocery stores close by. Very clean and plenty of supplies to get us by for a few days. We would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Our family of 6 visited this very clean and comfortable home during a college visit. Everything was spotless and coffee was provided. Loved the location and a little bit of history with the home mixed in. Thank you, Joni!

Oz was very accommodating and the place was clean and tidy. The back patio/yard was very nice and the house itself was tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. We got everything we were looking for during our weekend trip. Overall great stay!

Paula’s place was perfect for our weekend in Lawrence. There were 7 of us but we had plenty of space. It was also one of the best stocked Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. She provided everything you could possibly need. She was also very gracious when I interpreted the check out time incorrectly. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a college town, and this house is located on a prime spot. Such a cute house in a lovely town!

We absolutely loved Gayle’s place. The private neighborhood setting yet being so close to campus worked great for us. The house was exactly as pictured and to be honest even better. Not only were we greeted with custom sugar cookies on the counter but my husband turned to me and said, “This really feels like home!” Thank you for making our Spring Break feel like coming home. Great apartment with easy access to Mass St. night life. Parking two blocks away was not ideal but did not distract from the great location and atmosphere of the unit. Interior furnishings were very nice and the entrance to the apartment was secure. I would recommend Rick's place very highly to anyone visiting Lawrence.

Hands down the best Airbnb experience I’ve had yet! This upstairs apartment was perfect for a visit with my adult children to visit my daughter and nephew at KU. The location was perfect and so was the apartment. We were able to grill out and cook in breakfast Easter morning. Our hosts were genuinely kind and welcoming to us. We were encouraged to use the yard for our Easter egg hunt and grilling out. We will definitely try to book here for future visits. It was homey and comfortable. We felt like guests, not renters.

My friend and I traveled to Kansas with 4 dogs for a dog competition and stayed at this lovely AirBnB. It was absolutely perfect! Staci was super responsive to messages, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and the neighborhood was very quiet. After each day of competing with our dogs it was nice to come “home” to a cozy place to rest, relax, and recoup for the next day.

John was very responsive and helpful. We had a minor glitch at check-in and he immediately sprung into action and resolved everything. Upon seeing the wonderful service, the great location and the amazing interiors, we said to ourselves why did we not find this place and John as our host when our daughter was a freshman. I cannot understate how perfect this place is for situations where you need multiple bedrooms and a place to gather.

Great location and close to Mass Street. Very clean and large space. The place was well-maintained. Owners provided clear instructions for check-in and checkout. I would absolutely stay again when in Lawrence.

We loved are stay here. Very quiet, new, clean and an air conditioner that worked well. It was so fun to walk to shops, restaurants and entertainment. Parking was 10 cents per hour….cheap! We will stay here again!

Stayed here for my Advanced Trauma Life Support class and excellent walking distance from Stormont Vail hospital. Host was awesome! Cleaning lady was excellent and very helpful! Absolutely would stay here again!

This is great place to stay for KU parents!! Campus is super close and everything is within a 5 minute drive or a short walk. Would definitely stay again!

The place was very close to KU, right off Bob Billings. The place couldn’t have been cuter. Victoria paid attention to the small details, from the candy scattered around, to the cute sticker collection, to the pristine bathroom, and the full length mirror in the bedroom. The decor was very thoughtful and cozy. Victoria was even kind enough to check in daily to see how the stay was going and made sure to tell me to have a beautiful day!

We’re so lucky to have a landlord who makes a rented house feel like a real home. Their kindness made our time unforgettable.

We loved this place. It was cute, quiet, and clean with lots of little touches that I wasn't expecting. It was close to great hiking places and the downtown. Tess was a great host! Very friendly and responsive. I would definitely stay here again:)
