This is a true hidden gem where I could have easily spent many more weeks. Safet and Arnela are the best hosts I’ve met on this platform. They welcomed us to their place by the lake, making sure we know all there is to know. The water from the lake is fresh but warm enough that we could swim as long as we wanted. A 20 min. walk will bring you to a fish shop (also a restaurant with a breathtaking view) where you can buy trout that you can bring back to grill. The place stays cool even on warm days. We were there for 3 weeks in June and July and never used the AC. Be prepared to deal with some mosquitoes in the evenings (though nothing compared to Canada). We had a bit of trouble finding the house: ask the hosts for details before leaving if, like us, you are travelling without a phone. Mila, the nicest cat ever, lives there all year round and is a real charmer.

The best view in Mostar! We felt so incredibly lucky to stay in this Airbnb with such an incredible view that we didn’t even want to go out for dinner - we stayed in to watch the sunset on the terrace instead. It’s also huge. Highly recommend.
