Excellent place to stay. very near to Stadium. Neat and clean, amenities were provided well. Host is very very helpful and responsive even at night time. Very much homely stay experience it was for us.

What's one thing you look for when you are searching for say a cottage or a cabin or a homestay? Quietness, serenity with a pinch of belonging. Property at birdwood cottages provide you just that, situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and also the crowded Mall road of Dalhousie, this place submits you to just relax. Great location, beautiful interiors, great caretakers who make great home made food of your choice. touristy spots are not too far away, ample car parking place, good wifi. The best part of the stay has to be the 2-3 km flat trail circuit in the woods to rejuvenate your mornings. i think late September to early December is the best time to enjoy the flora & fauna of this place before the snow engulfs the area.

For a quiet stay a bit away from busy street this is it. The family is very friendly, helpful and responsive. They let me check in much earlier since the room was available, and let me leave my luggage in a safe space after checkout till my late overnight bus departure time. They went extra miles for me to accommodate my needs. The view from the room is exquisite and so is the food. I will be a repeater when I come back to Dharamshala.

Harminder Sir's homestay was a delightful experience. The breathtaking scenery and serene ambiance created a slice of paradise. The perfect summer weather added to its charm. The interiors offered ample space for relaxation and comfort. The beds and sofas provided a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. Our cherished sanctuary was the balcony, providing a serene spot to immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings. An abundance of books and a large dining table enhanced our stay. The WiFi connection was reliably consistent, enabling highly productive "Working From Himachal" experience. Conveniently, grocery shops were within close proximity, allowing us to discover the delightful local Verka milk and Garhwal Dahi. Harminder Sir's helpfulness and friendliness made our stay exceptional. While a water shortage exists in the area, responsible water usage is essential. Nonetheless, this minor inconvenience is overshadowed by the overall pleasant experience.

The place is absolutely serene and aesthetically pleasing from every corner. The caretaker, Babli is friendly and helpful. I genuinely had the BEST time.

It was a beautiful stay. I would recommend this to all who love to visit Dharmashala. I booked at 1500/- and it was worth. Manthan & Urmila didi allowed us early check-in and they guided us pretty well to reach the spot. They place was clean and we'll maintained. The host were very helpful and extremely friendly. For visiting Macleod and Dharmashala we booked the cab and it costs us around 1500 + 2200. The cab agency number is shared with Urmila didim . Blindly stay at this place . Beautiful environment. There is a small hotel named Smiley serves good non veg food nearby.

The stay was absolutely amazing with scenic view of mountains. Payal is a great host and she has managed to put each corner of the house so beautifully, the stay felt like a home with small utility kitchen and a big terrace with mountain views. The terrace has beautiful plants and is a great place if you want to stay away from city chaos. The breakfast was complimentary and tasted delicious. The cafe “the other space” is well conceptualised. Overall, our stay was perfect and serene with beautiful view.

Lovely, spacious cottage in the midst of the upper Bakrota forest area. The outdoors are great because of ample sunlight through the day, and the indoors are taken care of warmly by Raju ji the caretaker. Great meals and help all around in everything we could ask for. Do remember to request for groceries/ firewood in advance with Raju if you plan to use his services. There’s lots around the cottage to explore if you are up for trekking/ walking. The town itself is rustic and not super touristy which is nice. Beautiful forest areas and valley views. Stairs down to the cottage from the main gate may not be for suitable for anyone with knee issues, but still manageable. Overall a super pleasant stay! Will come back.
