The Barn @ Dale End House, Gratton nr Bakewell

SonaliRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful barn set in idyllic countryside surroundings. The peaceful rural setting was made even more charming by the presence of chickens, ducks, a pig, and even a peacock giving us company - it truly felt like a countryside retreat! The barn itself is spacious and very well equipped. All four bedrooms are en-suite, large, and comfortable, with the bathrooms also being a generous size. The kitchen was big and had everything we needed, and when we requested a couple of items, the hosts responded immediately and provided them within minutes . The living space is open and airy, perfect for relaxing or spending time together. Outside, there’s a fantastic BBQ area and a fire pit, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape — ideal for evenings under the stars. The hosts were brilliant: friendly, helpful, and always available if needed,. They also gave us great recommendations on

Callow Barn

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay here. The barn is set in beautiful countryside, with a lovely view over Hathersage. It was really special to be able to have our breakfast on the terrace in such surroundings. We drove the 10 mins journey into Hathersage to use the wonderful outdoor pool, start a couple of lovely walks, and visit the David Mellor shop and cafe. It was lovely to be able to walk over the moors to Eyam straight from the House. The house was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay! This was the second time we have stayed here and I plan to come again!

Fernyford Barn in the Peak District

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Fernyford Barn is the perfect base for a holiday in the Peak District. There are so many things to do and places to visit just a short drive away. The barn is very comfortable, nicely decorated and perfect for families. We loved stocking up on food from the local shops and meat from the farm itself and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Neil and his family were friendly and welcoming hosts and our little ones loved meeting the sheep and exploring the farm. We’d love to return.

Lovely cottage, comfortable and homely from the minute you walk through the door. Kitchen well stocked and shower was good especially the heated floor. Nice tv/ seating area for after a days hiking. Our dog loved the garden and exploring the surrounding hills. A couple of walks straight from the door. We visited Lady Bower and the B29 crash site both nice walks, but get there early as parking soon fills up. We are already looking for dates to rebook, as lots in the area to do and see.

Gag Barn Nr Thorpe (Peak District/Dovedale)

KenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Richard was a very good and attentive host and was very friendly. The barn was in a beautiful place and quite remote and was equipped with everything you needed. In particular it was novel to use a rayburn which was very easy to use. There are lovely views from nearly every window across stone walled grassland filled with cows and sheep. Richard has two pet pigs who wander around the place and are very friendly. We had a very enjoyable relaxing stay here and would certainly consider a return.

Stunning farmhouse for 6 at Peak District edge.

SarahRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We booked the space for a family get-together and as a base for exploring the Peak District. From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by the hospitable owners. The accommodation was extremely well-equipped with books, games, maps and dog bowls/bed/crate. The welcome pack of eggs, milk and home-made pickles was very thoughtful. The secure garden was perfect for Doris to mooch, and was full of pretty flowers which my aunt admired greatly. Plentiful footpaths from the door for dog-walks and a short drive to Longshaw Estate, Ladybower and Strines. Easy access to Stannington and 15mins into Sheffield City Centre. Highly recommended. Will be staying for longer next time!!

Modern cottage in a stunning Peak District setting

Our family of six (2 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog) enjoyed our long weekend at Sarah's place. The house was spotless, the kitchen well equipped and Sarah had thoughtfully left milk, delicious bread and coffee for us. Great location for exploring the lower peak district - we walked to/from Thor's Cave, enjoyed a pub lunch at the Royal Oak, cycled the Tissington trail and relished the hot tub. It was a great stay!

My girlfriends and I had the most amazing time at Anita’s Airbnb. She was a lovely host, helpful and easygoing. It’s a great spot for mindful and wholesome fun, whether you want to swim, hot tub, or do yoga in the back garden. We loved the barbecue and pizza oven and the chocolate cake on arrival was a special surprise and delicious. Thank you Anita!

Thirkelow Cottage - near Buxton, Peak District

Deborah JaneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Esther was very responsive and helpful right from the start. The price is very reasonable for the size and quality of the property. It is in a stunning location. The property is large with great facilities. It’s for the beaten track but u can walk from the cottage - we walked to Flash and back again. My only negatives are small kitchen and didn’t like the tables/chairs stacked up on the living room - it didn’t make it feel very homely. But we all had a great time, all loved the big comfortable beds and having our own en suites and we definitely recommend. Thank u Esther.

Latham Hall Farmhouse, Ashbourne

TanyaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Latham Hall was perfect. Such a beautiful home. The house was well stocked with everything we needed and more. We had 6 children 4 years and under and they were entertained the whole weekend. I read reviews about the WiFi but Ann had clearly tried to solve this problem with boosters in every room - while it wasn't fantastic, it worked. Check-in was easy and Ann had left freshly baked scones for us, which were lovely after a 4 hour trip. I couldn't recommend Latham Hall enough. We'd definitely stay here again. Thank you 😊

Luxury Country Cottage with Hot Tub

KirstyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

The Milking Parlour, 1 bedroom luxury cottage

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Milking Parlour was a lovely cottage in a peaceful location with fantastic views out over the dales. There were some nice walks direct from the door and loads of other great walks with a 5-10 minute drive such as the Monsal Trail. Julia was always available if needed to ask a question but otherwise left us to it so it was a lovely private space. The facilities were excellent - we loved having a game of table tennis and pool in the evening and enjoyed watching the sunset from “sunset corner” in the farm. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to friends and family.
