In 1876 the ‘Brothers Mine’ which was named after the Krushka brothers, was opened. The settlement that grew up around the mine became known as ‘Brothers Home’ and that name persisted until in 1887 it was decided to change the name to Derby. Really enjoyed our stay. Great place after a day in the field. Also, supplies for the things that one may have forgotten given no shop within cooee. Nicely set up and clean. There did seem to be some animal scratching to try to get in one night!

This place provides the ultimate relaxing getaway experience. The house is spacious and comfortable and with an awesome fireplace and heaters in the bedrooms you would not know it.was below zero outside in the early morning. Everything you need for cooking is provided, showers are great and beds very comfortable. This is a true farm experience with sheep, working dogs, chickens and a horse coming right up to your fence. The river walk is an easy walk for most fitness levels and the scenery along the way with the flowing river is a very tranquil experience. Indigo is an excellent host and provided excellent communication from the moment we booked. Tristan was always there when we needed to top up the wood and very informative about the property and surrounds. The was the perfect place to spend our 47th wedding anniversary with a glass of bubbles on the covered back deck which has the sun all day. We highly recommend Indigo's place to anybody wanting a unique relaxing holiday.

All I can say is this place is amazing! My 6-year-old son didn’t want to leave. The morning view, with a touch of fog, was absolutely beautiful. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival, which immediately made us feel at home. Ben Lomond ski base is nearby and we had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the snow. We truly wish we could’ve stayed longer, but unfortunately, we couldn’t. We will definitely be back again!
