A fantastic stay at Lu's lovely house. Lu was very responsive to our queries and very helpful indeed. The house provides a very comfortable and cozy base from which to explore County Durham and a lovely place to relax in the evening after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend Lu's house to anyone wanting to spend time exploring County Durham. The local Tesco is just a short walk away and very convenient. Local takeaways are very nice and we really appreciated the useful suggestions and recommendations Lu provided, these were extremely helpful. Thanks again for hosting us and we hope to stay again soon!

The host was responsive answering my doubts in couple of the minutes and he was kind to go to the place before our arrive to increase the heat temperature. When we arrived the house was nice and warm.

lovely cozy house easy drive into city centre. The house was clean with a welcoming bottle of prosecco, teas and coffee. we can not fault the stay, sad it was just for a few days.

Jacqui is an amazing host. She is very thoughtful and was flexible about check in and out times. The place lived up to all expectations. It was very handy for the centre and very comfortable.

We stayed at the cottage 17th & 18th November. We were attending a friend’s wedding at Runa farm which was only 15 minutes away from the venue which was perfect. We were looking forward to having our first ever family get away with our 8 week old. The house is renovated wonderfully and the under floor heating was just absolute perfection on a cold winter weekend. Sadly we didn’t get the opportunity to use the hot tub on our visit due to arriving late on the first night and the second night I was unable to go in due to self tan, I know the implications this can have so wanted to respect the hosts rules regarding the hot tub. A box of treats welcomed us in the kitchen on arrival which went down wonderfully for our cosy evening on the sofa watching I’m a celeb with a glass of red. Thank you for having us and we hope to return soon

Cosy nice house, lovely and warm with everything you need at a great price. Secure courtyard area for dogs. Excellent , friendly communication from Ellen the owner.

Absolutely beautiful little spot. Very private, clean and tidy. Loads of modern touches and a brilliant layout to the house. Comfortable and a nice big tv situated perfectly for viewing. Gorgeous little garden and garden undercover area to relax. Host was very friendly and responsive. Amazing value for money too. Would definitely stay here again. Nice little extra feature like garden lighting and stair lighting too which made it feel more of a home than just a place to stay. All in all an amazing experience

Penny’s flat is wonderful. So comfortable with brilliant touches so you have all you need. A really lovely welcome including some delicious cake. Comfortable bed and living room. Really brilliant place to stay. We were fortunate with great weather and did lots of walks from the front door as well as short drive to other places. We had a lovely evening in the local pub.

A lovely cottage with everything we needed, it's very obvious how much care Sue puts into the property and to making you feel welcome. Site was very local, parking was perfect. Would love to return! Steve and Charlotte

Wonderful cottage, just as described & quite quirky. Ideally located in town. Must recommend the local chippy - superb. Great instructions from Gary. Will have to return.

We were staying in Durham to see my son. The flat is really close to the student quarter so very convenient for everything. The flat was on roadside but quiet and never disturbed by traffic. Lovely calm decor. All facilities in perfect working order and the place was very clean. Bed linen very fresh. Very large super kingsize bed. Easy sofa bed with great linen for the spare bed. Wonderful modern feel in a refurbished 1850’s building with atmosphere and all mod cons! We had a perfect time and could not be improved

We had a great time staying in this flat and highly recommend the accommodation. It was spacious and comfortable and had everything you could need. The drinks and cakes on arrival were much appreciated. The location was great - right in the centre of Helmsley, close to the castle and a short drive to Riveaux Abbey (we could have walked if we’d had more time) and to Byland Abbey (both very interesting). If we’d had more time, we’d have made more use of the many local footpaths but we’ll leave that to another time!

Probably the best airbnb I’ve stayed in! Barry and Sue were so welcoming, they had the most beautiful apartment and Richmond had everything we needed and more!! Recommended this place to all my friends and family and we will definitely be back in summer!!

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were working in the area so arrived quite late and in darkness. Even so it was easy to follow the excellent instructions to park and find the entrance / keys etc. The apartment is great. It had every utensil we needed to cook our own meals. It’s also well situated for local eateries and is within walking distance of a Sainsbury’s. We were left a nice basket of goodies which was much appreciated! The views are great although we worked every day so didn’t get much chance to be there in daylight hours. There’s scaffolding across the windows at the moment but it’s still a good view even through that. The building itself is absolutely lovely. We’d certainly book again if the chance arises.

Really excellent place

We’ve found a little gem here! Went to see my niece at uni and this was just a perfect location. Easy to find, parking right outside the flat and near to local shops and supermarkets. What a lovely place to spend a couple of nights, it was clean and warm and I loved the added touch of a few Christmas decorations - got us right in the mood for some festivities. We would definitely like to return. Thank you so much.

We stayed a couple of nights at the property. Very well equipped with home comforts. We liked how private it felt and it was very spacious for a couple.

The apartment was perfect for a short break in Hawes. It’s extremely well equipped with everything you need and was very clean and cosy. As described, you’d struggle to sleep more than 3 people comfortably. Jane was really responsive to our queries throughout our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend others to Lawyers Loft!

Steph’s place is perfect for a city break in Durham. Close to rail and bus stations and walkable to city centre within a few minutes. We arrived by train and wanted to drop off our luggage before official check in. Steph was happy to allow this. The flat has everything you’d need for a short break, was very clean and comfortable. Durham is a great city and if I go back I’d definitely book Steph’s place again.
