Vacation rentals in Dalchalm

This is a beautiful little conversion but surprisingly spacious. It is in a wonderful location with expansive views of the Conval & Ben Rinnes but only a 5 minute drive to Aberlour or Rothes. We walked from the farm to Aberlour in around an hour & lovely walking through the woods & down to the River Spey. Kate was excellent at communicating with us & Mark showed us round initially. Things like fresh eggs, homemade cakes & milk were a lovely touch as was the fresh cut flowers in the lounge. There are also some lovely items in the tack room available for sale so we’ve brought some coasters & a lovely hand made stag’s head. There is a wealth of usual information in folders & books that will help you explore the local area. 2 days wasn’t a long enough stay & we will hopefully come back for a longer break next time. We would highly recommend The Old Tack Room & one of the nicest places we’ve come across. Thanks Kate & Mark!

We had a wonderful stay in Eric and Alison's beautiful cottage. The decor and ambience were spot on. The bed was really comfortable and there's plenty of clean, fresh linen. The place was cosy but light and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen had all that's needed for self catering but Dornoch has plenty of restaurants and cafes if you feel like eating out. The cottagewas private and peaceful and it was easy to relax after days of sight seeing. The garden is really lovely and well maintained. We really enjoyed Dornoch and were lucky enough to visit during market day and the locals were very friendly and helpful. Milk and Honey is great for breakfast and coffee, and Luigi's is great for dinner. We enjoyed visiting Golspie, Helmsdale, the falls at Big Burn and Carn Liath. Eric and Alison were very welcoming, and kindly left provisions for a cooked breakfast as well as tasty local shortbread. It was lovely to meet them both and we'd love to stay again in the future!

Look no further you have found the place you want to stay in the Highlands ! Stephen’s place is the most peaceful relaxing place you will find. It’s very well located , private and the hot tub and sauna make this a 10/10 stay ! You will leave here recharged and ready to tackle life. This is a must stay and we will be back.

We stayed in The Bothy for 5 nights and had a great experience. The views are amazing, and the location is close to some NC500 spots such as John-O-Groats, Duncansby, Dunnet Head. Lots of beaches to choose from - both to the west and east, and one right next door (Strathy beach, Farr Bay, Melvich beach, Talmine beach). The Bothy was clean and cozy and had all the amenities that we needed. Please note that you have to climb 40 steps from the parking to the Bothy but they aren't steep. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for scenic coastal views along the north coast.

We had a lovely stay. Perfect location on our journey north from Edinburgh to Orkney and very easy to find. Sarah was very friendly and communicative, checking we had everything we needed. I wish we could have stayed for longer.

We had a lovely relaxing time at this fine establishment. The accomodation was so comfortable and homely. Don made us feel very welcome and provided easy to follow instructions for directions and use of the facilities. The location is ideal to walk into the town and to visit some beautiful spots. It's ideal for birdwatching and beautiful walks. Don was approachable and accommodated us for an additional night at short notice, would highly recommend and will hopefully visit again.

Kathryns place is brilliant... the cottage is spotless and well laid out... it has everything you could need and more... Kathryn is a fantastic host who is friendly and responsive... The surrounding areas are to die for... the beaches are the best in the world and the cottage is situated basically a 5min drive from them... Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.
