Villa vacation rentals in Cumbria

This was a great house for 2 grand parents 4 parents and 5 very active children aged between 6 and 12. Location convenient for lakes and Morecambe. We regretted booking a big supermarket shop for the week with a good Tesco and Coop nearby as well as a super butchers and two bakeries. Being able to all eat together comfortably around the huge dining table was a real treat. Weather could have been better but without rain it would just be called The District with no lakes! Can recommend Morecombe beach, Grizedale Forest Centre and Lakeland Farm Park for day trips during a stay at Rockwood.

Just back from three nights and we had such a wonderful time. The property is in a great location with it being walking distance to bowness but also secluded. Kitchen amenities all great, excellent spec bathroom and very clean all round. We had a couple of questions which were answered very quickly. Highly recommend and we will be booking again.

An absolutely beautiful house. We had a wonderful stay. The gardens are stunning. The house is perfect for multi generational families, with plenty of space.We made some beautiful family memories

We had such a wonderful weekend at Nick’s place. It had everything we needed! Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, beautiful views…the list goes on. Nick was such a great host, there was no one booked either side of our days so we managed to get flexible check in and check out times which really helped us!! And meant we could spent a little more time together as a group and enjoy the hot tub one last time before we left. A very memorable trip, we’ll be back.

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.

Excellent property. Very clean and in a relaxing location. Very comfortable beds, modern and well appointed facilities. A most pleasant stay and we are looking forward to our return at Christmas.

We had a great stay. The house was in a beautiful location, right on the estuary. Plenty of beach for walking. Beds were comfy and ample linen and towels were provided plus a great welcome hamper. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the hot tub was lovely for relaxing in after a busy day. The nearby rock park/quarry was a really interesting day out. We also enjoyed a meal out at the King William IV in Kirksanton. Jenny was a great host and was extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

This is a wonderful house for a large family gathering or group holiday. Stunning views over Morecambe Bay. Every need has been anticipated. Great selection of games and activities for all age groups. Jim is very communicative and helpful. I would highly recommend it and hope to go back for a longer stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here perfect location. Stunning appartment and the host could not have done more. Would highly recommend and will return.

We stayed here with our two young children for two nights, and we had a great time. A nice, peaceful site, which helped us to relax. The lodge had everything we needed and we would definitely return. Great location within easy reach of the castles and beaches.

Just had an amazing stay at Torrey Pines. Kris is a great host communication really good. Loved the position and lodge. Everything we needed. Have already booked again with Kris for next year disappointed we couldn’t get the same lodge but confident the lodge we have booked will be just as excellent !
