Vacation rentals with a sauna in Cumbria

Just had an incredible weekend break at Jenny's gorgeous accommodation. I have seen other reviews saying that the photos and description doesn't do this place justice and I totally agree. The lodge had everything we needed, was perfectly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The views from the balcony are breathtaking!! The location is so picturesque, peaceful and clean and extremely close to Keswick. We took full advantage of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and hot tub, which was a brilliant way to start/finish the day. Also highly recommend the White Horse pub, where I have eaten the best chicken burger ever! Jenny, thank you for the kind and thoughtful treats. We highly recommend your place to anyone!! xxx

We stayed here just for one night for a hen do and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of parking, the hot tub and sauna were ready for us on arrival and the beds were nice a comfy. Plenty of seating in the living and dining room. Thanks for a great place to stay!

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this quirky and unique apartment. The property itself is of a high standard—well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and full of character. The outdoor facilities are a real highlight and offer something you don’t often come across, making it ideal for a small family getaway. We made full use of the hot tub, sauna, dartboard, and pool table, all set within a charming, rustic yard. The host was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The only minor drawback was that Accrington felt a little quiet during our visit, though with more time we may have uncovered more to do in the area. Overall, this apartment is an absolute gem and one we would highly recommend. We’re already looking forward to returning!

We loved our stay at Howe Tarn. It was the prefect base for exploring the Lakes. the accommodation was comfortable and very peaceful, and had everything we needed. Mark was proactive in checking on us and although we didn't need anything we were confident we would have got a swift response had we needed to ask anything. Would definitely stay again.

Thurnham hall is a great place to stay!

Colin contacted us prior to our stay to give us accurate details of where to go, and what to do. He gave us his contact number incase there was any issues, and told us to contact him anytime. His apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the photos do not do it justice.. and the views from the balcony were 100%. The location was perfect for what we was looking for. We would highly recommend ,and definitely stay there again.😊

matt and I had an amazing stay at lakes, the apartment is located perfectly for local hiking route and the added amenities on site were a welcome addition after a long day hiking.

Optimal luxury apartments was exactly as described luxury. From the very moment you walk into the main lobby area you know you have made the right decision. Bobsy was extremely helpful. As I adding some extra to our stay to make this a very special trip for my partner and he went above and beyond for me to make this happen, nothing g was too much trouble. The apartment itself was simply amazing done to the highest possible standard and actually felt like home immediately. There was balloons, rose petals out extras put in place and my partner was so overwhelmed. I would recommend Optimal Luxury Apartments to everyone and have already started doing so. Will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at this beautiful house for a hen party with a group of 10 and had an absolutely amazing time! The space was perfect for our celebration—spacious, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. The large living and dining areas made it easy for us all to gather, play games, and enjoy meals together. The hot tub and sauna were an added bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the bedrooms were all a really good size with comfy beds. Highly recommend for a group getaway or special occasion.

The house was so beautiful and ticked every box. Scenery, peace and quiet, lots of space to celebrate with friends. Kitchen well equipped we wanted for nothing. We loved the sauna and outside jacuzzi and a beautiful dining room to dine. The house was immaculate and beds so comfortable. Would visit again in a heart beat. This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We loved our stay at Signal House. House is absolutely beautiful. It’s in such a lovely location with fantastic views along the coastline. Easy to walk into Amble or along coastal path in both directions. House amazing, spotlessly clean. We hope to come back some time. Thankyou Tracey for a great stay x

Beautiful cottage and grounds sat right next to Ullswater lake. From the cottage front door down to the lake is less than a 2 mins walk down the hill. However the property remains private and secluded within the beautiful gardens and stream on the property. As a group of 7, we really enjoyed cooking and eating on the property, which has a beautiful kitchen as well as the option of two different of outdoor cooking areas (the Argentinian bbq was put to use and being next to the outdoor dining area was a great place to spend the evening and socialise/unwind after a long day of hiking) The sauna and cold plunge helped to soothe and restore tired and achy leg muscles

Absolutely gorgeous place. We loved being on the lake and and having access to it. Vanessa gave loads of recommendations and communicated well. Pictures matched the place. Wouldn't hesitate going back.
