Vacation rentals with breakfast in Cumberland

Cuter and bigger than anticipated from photos. Had everything we needed. A few areas needed a bit more TLC, but overall we were very satisfied. Thank you!

2025 marks our third year running staying at Elizabeth's lovely home in Maine for an annual fishing trip to Lake Arrowhead! I could not recommend staying here enough due to the privacy offered, comfortable sleeping arrangements available for several guests, homey living room for lounging, and excellent set-up for fishing, grilling, and building a campfire. Elizabeth's home is truly the perfect place to retreat for a relaxing and cozy getaway! It's clique to say but her house truly feels like home away from home for our group. Each of our stays has been incredible not only due to what the house offers but also due to Elizabeth's excellent communication leading up to our trips and during our stays. She is incredibly friendly and always highly responsive to texts and calls to answer any and all questions! We're already looking forward to next year!

Emily’s place was the perfect getaway for our long weekend in KPT! We loved staying here and look forward to coming back!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Julie's lakeside home for Father’s Day weekend. The setting was serene, with beautiful views of the water, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality time together. We had a fantastic week-long stay at Heidi's home. She was an exemplary host from the beginning to the very end -- always responsive, flexible, and very helpful. She knew we were going to be arriving at nighttime, and that there would be construction going on nearby with exit closures. She took time to provide detailed instructions on how to get around those closures which alternated between two exists every night from 7pm-7am. This is their real home, so when you enter, you feel like you have entered your home away from home. Everything in the house is not just clean, but spotless. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings are just gorgeous -- especially the sunroom, which is like something out of a dream. We even saw some wild turkeys at a distance in the backyard! Of all the Airbnbs we have stayed at, this was by far the nicest and the most memorable. Thanks so much, Heidi and Dennis.

I had a great stay at the Doll’s House! Perfect location close to the walk around Back Cove, close to all downtown Portland had to offer… but in a quiet neighborhood that felt very safe. Neighbor was out gardening most mornings. Great coffee in the morning, well equipped kitchen and comfortable house all the way around. Bed & bedroom were great & cute backyard. Pamela was easily reachable and responded to any and all of my questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Jen is incredible and her place is beautiful! So nice and spacious. We only stayed for one night but would definitely stay longer/again. She responded so quickly if I had a question and even was so kind to leave me a birthday card with decorations on the table for my arrival. Amenities were wonderful, beds so comfy, if you need a place in Old Ochard look no futher!! ❤️

This is what an airbnb should be. We’ve rented many bnbs over the years and Christine’s place felt like home. The surroundings are beautiful, and the house is charming, exceptionally clean and welcoming. Yarmouth is a great town as well, just a stones throw from Portland and the coast. We really couldn’t have asked for a better host or place to stay to enjoy the beauty of Maine :)

The feeling of being on this beautiful estate is amazing. We felt like the Duke and Dutchess of Bristol. The grounds are beautifully manicured and invite strolls through the orchard, down scenic walking paths, and down to the large pond for a swim or glorious paddle on the provided canoes and kayaks. Timothy is thoroughly delightful, warm and charming. It felt like we were staying on the estate of a treasured old friend. We look forward to returning again and again.

We enjoyed staying with Trudy and Michael! Very responsive to all my questions/requests. It was a unique experience in the treehouse that met all of our needs! We looked forward to the homemade muffins and fresh fruit every morning! Easy walk to the footbridge and all the attractions/restaurants/shops. Definitely recommend to those looking for a quiet place that is close to the harbor!

We were 2 couples staying for a week. Rooms were spacious and had several comfortable lounging areas. The bedding was clean and looked like new. Ralph is a fantastic cook and had homemade breakfast items most mornings. I highly recommend!!

We had a great time at Joan’s cozy condo! She made freshly baked goodies upon our arrival, it was delicious! 2 min away from the beach! The location can’t be beat. The only downside was the train, very close to the house, that passes roughly every three hours during week days. If you don’t mind the nose, the place is perfect for a small family, friends and couples. It had different board games, beach toys for kids, foldable beach chairs etc. Overall great place! The unit was very clean and had all the kitchen appliances we needed. The beds including mattresses and linens were very comfortable and plenty of blankets were available. Location was great to visit the sights in Bath. We'd definitely stay here again.

The bed was super cozy, the host was responsive and friendly, and the cats were adorable! I had a nice evening with the host chilling with the cats (and petting and playing with them) while watching TV, and when I stepped out for dinner I found a great place following her recommendations. The breakfast was great! The French toast was delicious, and the timing was perfect - made fresh shortly after I came downstairs, close to the time we’d discussed the day before. Check-in and check-out were simple too.

This is the second time I've stayed with Marsha and Steve and I never wanted to leave! Their home is beautiful and welcoming, as is the island. Can't wait to come back :)

This was our first time staying at the Candlebay Inn and we definitely will be back. Connie was so wonderful and sweet, greeted us at the door—gave us a brief tour and local recommendations. The Daisy Room was super cozy, very clean and quiet. In the morning, home cooked breakfast was delicious, Connie was nice enough to tell us about the backstory of the inn which we really enjoyed. 10/10 recommend!!

We only stayed for one night but had such a good night's sleep! Peter and Karen were the perfect hosts. Responsive when we asked questions and were very accomodating! We particularly enjoyed the warm, bathroom floors and the spruced up studio. 10/10 would recommend to other travelers :)

Words can’t properly express how peaceful this location is, and what amazing hosts Victoria and George are. I was there for a quiet few days with my dog, and Victoria and George made it the most comfortable and serene experience. I recommend enjoying a lovely homemade lunch at the restaurant/post office/general store in town, then coming back to a fire that George creates for you, in their well appointed living room. Enjoy the sauna, reading room, and views, and experience a get away like no other. I’ve already secured a return trip in a few months!

Bonnie & Doug were the best hosts! Accommodations perfect for our needs. Large bedroom with sitting area, light & airy. Private full bath and private entrance. Very nice patio outside and a wonderful front porch/room where we had breakfast (delicious!) . Bonnie's recommendations for attractions & restaurants were great. We actually were able to see all the recommended attractions and loved them! Doug's pottery is beautiful and he showed us how he makes his spectacular lamps that he has on display in his store. Such good people who were very comfortable to be with. Shared good conversations. We would highly recommend this couple's B&B.

Claudia was an awesome host and very responsive. We had a good night stay in a nice private bedroom with private bathroom. We really appreciated her hospitality with breakfast food that was left out so kindly for us. Although it was such a brief stay on our road trip, we will consider staying here again in the future if we are in the area!

Had a wonderful time at Daniel’s Airbnb! We were greeted with a warm reception and delicious apple cake with delicious sweet tea! I can’t say enough good things about Daniel and his beautiful home. We felt right at home. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Our accommodations were very comfortable. Best part was the delicious breakfast with coffee and tea and scrumptious omelette with homemade hash browns! I wanted the recipe! I highly recommend Daniel’s place, it made our vacation a little more special! PS: Reds Eats in Wiscasset Maine was the best ( Paul Newman and Robert Redford ate there too) Thanks for the recommendation!!
