Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Crete

What an amazing place. The anti - boutique art cafe is something to experience. When so many places are being turned into “luxury living “ boxes it was delightful to stay in a 500 year old property with all its charm and quirks. Coming home at night to our own a bar was fun. The bed was extremely comfortable and the access to art materials was a real bonus to my artist husband. The kitchen has lots of equipment and the water in the shower has high water pressure and heater only takes a short time to produce VERY hot water. Once the inner door is closed the apartment is very peaceful. Communication with Spiros was excellent. It’s difficult to suggests any improvements. Maybe more pillows. We would appreciate a washing machine but understand this is extra cost. Be aware the cleaner next door sometimes spills water from the balcony into the garden. Just sit to the left. Oh I don’t forget to try the restaurant next door. Thank you Spiros for a lovely stay. A great way to end our 4 weeks.

My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

Excellent!!! Such a lovely host - you will feel welcomed and well taken care of. They had everything I needed ready for my toddler son to feel comfortable in a new space. The view was so lovely to enjoy mornings and evenings. The place was pristine and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here when I return to Chania.

A beautiful apartment in a great location, perfectly located for nice beaches, lovely local restaurants and shops. We wished we had booked to stay longer, Anastasia was a perfect host and very welcoming, would highly recommend.

This is our second stay at Stefanos apartment. The apartment is perfect for us, great value and exactly as photos with the most amazing view. Absolutely recommend and we will definitely be back again!

We felt very comfortable. Great amenities, super clean, one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed in. The view from the balcony is fantastic and very relaxing. It's very quiet. You can really switch off. Massimo and his wife are very hospitable. We felt very comfortable. If we come to Crete again, we will definitely come back here. Just the right apartment to relax and unwind.

Well located to get around the West and Southwest, and within a reasonable distance of Chania in the evening. A rental outside the city preserving noise pollution, too much heat, and pleasant in the morning. Quality clean furniture and bedding. Michalis is very dedicated, proactive and offers good advice. An excellent overall impression!

We had the best time staying at the apartment. We were two adults and a child and it was perfect for us. Everything was exactly as in the pictures and the apartment is even bigger than I expected. Especially the beautiful patio. The small kitchen is well stocked and we had everything we needed. One can hear the road, so just bring your earplugs if you think it may bother you. There are mosquitoes nets and shades/curtains on all the windows which allowed us to keep them open at nights and sleep longer in the mornings. Other than the apartment itself, Pinelopi is the best host I have ever met on Airbnb. She took care of everything we needed, even before we asked. We felt right at home with her and we're very sad when it was time to go. We will always be happy to come and stay here again!

The interior of the place was recently renovated. I appreciated a lot the style, the natural light coming through the big window with a direct view of the sea. I loved the quietness of the place. It is really stunning. I would definitely come back. A great place to stay even for longer. I stayed only three nights. The view contributed to emptiness of my mind from clutter so I could concentrate to work on my PC and think creatively. Thank you so much!!

A great place to stay in Old Chania Town. If you use the park outside the apartment be aware you need to be a confident driver as it is a very narrow and other cars park in this alley or need to get past. Host was very responsive and helpful, it is very easy to walk around the beautiful town of Old Chania. The apartment is very clean and pretty spacious, we enjoyed our stay there.

Lovely house, better than the pictures. The outside is very nice and peaceful with a great view. There is everything you need in the house. The beach is 20 minutes by car and is very nice with many shops My only regret is that I only stayed there for 3 nights, I'll be back with pleasure! Go there with your eyes closed

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the rooftop and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought we would miss the sea, but that was not the case at all. We really managed to relax – walks in the area were enough. We actually planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice trips, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. If you love a vacation off the beaten track, away from the crowds of tourist resorts... this is your place. The house is located in a small village attached to the rock with stunning views of the Rokka gorge. The terrace you'll share with other guests is perfect for enjoying breakfast or an aperitif. Be aware that there are cats that come looking for food... for those with allergies... Marianna provided us with food for the first night and was always responsive to any questions or problems. Rokka is the ideal place to explore the beaches of the northwest of the island and Chania. The southwest beaches are at least an hour's drive away. We're taking beautiful memories with us Thank you.

Eleftheria, Gianni's wife, gave us a lovely warm welcome and gave us lots of useful information about the area on the first day. The flat overlooks the marina and so has a wonderful view. Perfect location, well equipped kitchen and would highly recommend. We had a great time in Agios Nikolaos.

Beautiful spacious apartment with great modern design and with a unique sea view from the balcony (sea only about 20 meters away). Everything you need. The landlord is extremely friendly and always available. We felt very comfortable. There are lots of good restaurants in the area, all within walking distance. The free parking by the sea was also perfect. From there, you only need 5 minutes to the apartment. The beautiful bar near the bedrooms was always well attended and accordingly it was loud there until late at night. It's a matter of taste, but the beds were too hard for us. Otherwise, absolutely recommended! We felt very comfortable and always had a cozy breakfast on the balcony.

We had a lovely but short stay at Valia’s very spacious apartment for our family of 5. The wrap around balcony was a treat and the rooms stayed cold and dark to allow us to sleep off our jet lag. Nice and close to old town Chania and lots of spots nearby for coffee/wine and pastry!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

We had amazing few days staying here. The apartment is beautiful and clean, in a great location, out of the way enough from the busy centre but just a short few minute walk to Chania town centre and the beach. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

From the start, Sia and her husband were very warm and welcoming. At check-in, they walked us through the apartment, which looked exactly like the photos. The view is fantastic from the front balcony. Everything was very clean. Loved that there were electronic blinds for most windows. We rented a car and there was a parking spot available for us in Sia's garage. We did find the bed a bit too hard for our tastes (to each their own!), and we sometimes had trouble with the wifi dropping in the main bedroom. Overall, we loved Sia's place and would stay there again!
