Expand your appreciation for nature. Enjoy a leisurely hike while learning how to identify at least 20 edible and medicinal native plants. Each hike is unique as new plants emerge from week to week and season to season. All participants will receive a digital copy of a recipe featuring a wild plant identified on the hike. All hikes take place at local parks or forests. Hikes will be 5k (3.1 miles) in length. Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, sun block, sunglasses, and water to ensure their experience is as enjoyable as possible.

I´m gonna introduce you all the simple ingredients that you need for make this unique Spanish and Catalan dishes. then together we gonna cook our paella and fideua, and Im gonna explain you all the secrets for have unique and authentic flavors. Paella is a traditional Spanish dish make with proteins, spices and rice, and fideua is another dish with the same beginnings, the change is that in here we use seafood, and fideo (noodles), instead of rice. We'll meet at my home in the backyard. My urban garden was created 10 years ago when I bought this property on the northwest side of Chicago to keep honeybees. I am passionate about supporting the environment and became interested in honeybees after attending a lecture from a local beekeeper. My dad told me that my grandfather and he had kept bees and in the olden days, beekeeping was as ordinary as gardening. Now, I work tirelessly every year to keep honeybees healthy and pollinating the forests and gardens. We will go on a tour of bee forage (food for bees) and observe the hive activity. You'll see the life of a beekeeper in the current season and I'll explain how bees communicate, grow and slow in the winter. Also, you'll learn the role of the queen, drones, workers, nurse bees and foragers. There won't be any honey sampling because I believe in the decommodification of honey bees and their work. * If you would like to book a custom day & time, please message me and I maybe able to create availability for your group. This may not be the right experience for guests with past history of allergic reactions to bees. Stings are very rare, but always possible.

Our sailing experience begins at Monroe Harbor right in downtown Chicago. Guests will enjoy a captained cruise on our sailing yacht, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37. We will cast off and motor out to Lake Michigan where we will set sail to a favorable course. Bring your own food and drinks, listen to your favorite music on our bluetooth stereo speakers, and take in the views of our city’s iconic buildings from the Lakefront. The courageous can try their hand at the helm and rigging the sails. On hot days be sure to bring a bathing suit and towel to swim in the Lake at Chicago's party cove- the playpen. If you don't see your date in mind or would like a longer experience, please feel free to inquire about custom bookings. We offer public bookings at a per passenger rate, but do require at least four guests to sign up in order to proceed. Our Navy Pier Fireworks Sailing Experience begins at Monroe Harbor in downtown Chicago. Once onboard Dragonfly, a luxury 37' cruising class sailing yacht, we will cast off and motor out to Lake Michigan. Ahead of the fireworks show we will set sail to a favorable course along the glimmering skyline of our world class Lakefront. Bring your own food and drinks, listen to your favorite playlist on our bluetooth stereo, and enjoy a peaceful escape from the City. Take the helm, take some photos or just take a break and relax in the fresh air. The end of the tour offers an unbeatable up close and personal view of the Navy Pier Fireworks Show. Trust us, you have never seen fireworks like this! After the fireworks its a quick trip back to the dock where we will tie up and disembark once again at Monroe Harbor. The trip starts with pleasant ride through the center of town in Saugatuck MI on the Kalamazoo river. The river then spills out onto Lake Michigan where patrons can assist with raising and setting sails. We then catch the wind and head up the beautiful dune lined coast. Time to enjoy the natural wonder of 100 plus miles of white sands beaches, wander the deck driven only be the wind. The trip ends with a relaxing run back up river to the docks. Other things to note Sailing is a motion filled activity and guests that tend to have motion sickness should prepare in advance.

Chicago offers a lot of hidden speakeasies and bars for night owls. We will explore three of my favorite, hidden-away with craft cocktails, beers, non-alcoholic drinks, good music and a good ambiance speak-easies in the historic, hip and trendy Ukrainian Village neighborhood; where you will experience the fabulous, intricate world of the art of cocktail creation and super funky live music at the last bar, where you will feel like transporting to a 1930's lounge. Some of the bars have secret entrances so be ready for a fun night. The last speakeasy is about an 8 minute walk. Please be advised that drinks or food are NOT included. Eat beforehand, drinking on an empty stomach isn't a cute look. On this nostalgic and educational 2-hour walking tour, we will lead you on a "Christmas treasure hunt" through downtown Chicago in search of the most stunning and impressive Christmas trees and other holiday decorations — and we know where they are! This tour includes not only visits to well-known stops like the Christkindlmarkt and the old Marshall Field’s, but also to little-known stops that contain some of the best holiday decorations downtown. You’ll learn about the origins of some world-famous Christmas characters — some of them from Chicago, some not — as well as the history behind Christmas traditions practiced by people around the world. Filled with history, culture, and beautiful sights, this tour is a celebration of Chicago’s festive holiday spirit. We'll pop into several buildings — just like we do on all of our tours! — specifically to see impressive Christmas trees indoors, and to warm up for seeing the outdoor trees. We call this tour a "pop-up tour" because it’s offered for a very limited time, and purely because we want to show off the city's beauty at this time of year. You won't find a boat, a bus, or even a segway where we're going. Come and take a holiday stroll with us — it's a fun stress-buster and perfect time to set aside for hanging out with family and friends! Come enjoy Chicago with us at its prettiest time of year!
