A Perfect Lakeside Couple Retreat – 5 Stars! Our stay at Lakeside Landing was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking lake views, the serene atmosphere, and the beautifully designed space. This getaway truly offers the perfect blend of relaxation & closely located by foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and many great restaurants also old mystic and Rhode Island are right up the road as well Great location and very private also the hot tub is a nice touch as well.

Place was amazing! Had a comfortable and peaceful stay. Is a beautiful home and close to everything that is needed. Loved how private it was and how clean everything was. Highly recommend.

This little cabin in the woods was so cozy! It is pretty close to the main road, but when you’re in the house or in the backyard you really don’t notice it! The woodfire hot tub took a bit to warm up but once it was hot it was soooo relaxing. The decor of the cabin was super cute and homey, we def took some design inspo tips! Really a perfect cabin retreat!

I was on the hunt for a cabin in the woods and finding Williams place was a dream. It’s 15 minutes from Torrington but you feel like you’re more isolated. It was perfect for my husband’s birthday getaway. William is friendly, helpful and responds quickly. He even gave us a late check out time. The house has amazing antiques and interior. I’m sure he sourced from several of the local antique and flea markets in the area.(Don’t forget to hit an ATM prior to going antiquing) He has a book in the cabin with a ton of local recommendations. We mostly just kicked back and relaxed at the cabin. Soaking up the sun in the hot tub outside next to a lovely bustling river/creek in the back yard. It was a bonus given I have a bad back and it was a little tough adjusting to not sleeping in my own bed. We have already decided to book this place for our anniversary. Thank you again for hosting us and we can’t wait to come again!

Once again, we enjoyed our stay in this adorable cottage on the lake. It was the perfect location to visit our son at Sacred Heart University.

Henry’s place easily fit the needs of our group (three families with little kids) and had plenty of bedrooms for us to spread out between. We appreciated the large couch / living room area which was large enough for us all to comfortably sit. It’s a quick drive to the town of Kent which was very cute to explore (and lots of good places to eat!). We have friends in the area and would definitely book here again for a return trip. Check out was a breeze and we greatly appreciated not having a long list of to do items like other Airbnb’s.

I didnt want to leave this little cabin in the woods. It felt rustic but had all the modern amenities you would expect in a home. From the rocking chairs on the porch to the comfy beds, there is nothing I could complain about, even if I tried. Marilyn gave excellent suggestions of places to eat and local current events. We left with fall apples, bellies full of clam chowder, and gigantic smiles!!! We have already started planning our return!

Our family of four had a wonderful winter weekend at Erma’s house. The house was comfortable, even during a winter storm. Erma made sure to have the driveway plowed, so we could still enjoy a day of skiing. And the sunset views were beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.

I cannot recommend this Airbnb cabin enough! From start to finish, our experience was absolutely delightful. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cabin itself was the perfect blend of cozy and comfortable. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The amenities were outstanding – everything we needed was provided, and everything worked perfectly. What a gorgeous place! As other guests have noted, the photos just don’t do it justice. October is the perfect time to sit on the dock with some coffee and take in the fall foliage.. The house is super cute and well appointed, I think it might be the best stocked kitchen of any Airbnb I’ve stayed in. Lots of lovely plates and glasses and festive little napkins and towels. This was a mom/daughter girls weekend, and everyone was impressed with the toiletries in the bathroom. The house was super clean and the beds were comfy, we can’t wait to go back!

Michael and Beth were superb hosts. From the moment we arrived to when we left, they made us feel as if we were family. They are absolutely wonderful people! Their property is beautiful and perfect for nature seekers. There’s a lot to do around the surrounding areas and they were super helpful with giving some awesome recommendations. The cabin is awesome and very clean. It was a great family trip with our 2 little ones (2 and 1 yrs old) highly recommend this spot!

We had a wonderful stay at Kara's cabin! It is so cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a terrible ice storm while we were there and I was nervous about what the road would be like but we had no issues at all. Kara thoughtfully had a snow shovel and ice melt ready for use. She was a very responsive host and we are looking forward to trying to come back in the spring!

Cozy and peaceful stay! It was an especially great place to stay while traveling with our dog. Michelle was very helpful and always responsive. Beautiful location with lots to do nearby.

The perfect stay! My toddler and I stayed here for a few nights and it was lovely. Spotless and peaceful. We loved walking over to say good morning to the goats, and walking into town to for coffee and croissants. Sam was a very responsive host. Will return!

Phillip’s cabin in the woods is heavenly! It’s so beautiful and comfy and cozy. Phillip was such an extremely nice host. He called us before we checked in to explain everything we needed to know about the house. He was so kind and gregarious. My boyfriend and I booked his place at the last minute for a quick getaway for our birthdays and Phillip let us check in and out early as a birthday gift which was so generous of him. We will definitely be back. We felt as if we were in a little slice of mountain heaven!

We had a lovely 5-day stay at the cabin on the lake! It was just what we needed. When the weather was nice, we hung out on the dock - there was a hammock to relax in, chairs in the shed, boats to explore with (I went out in a kayak a few times). Lake was peaceful and pretty. The cabin itself was quirky and nice. Yes, hot inside during the days, but with the fully surrounding screened in porch, there was no need to stay inside! Even when it rained, we could be "outside" without being in the elements. The kitchen was well stocked, coffee at the ready, there were plenty of towels and sheets and bed (though we only needed one!), shampoo/ conditioner in the shower, wood ready for the fireplace, board games and more. Honestly, it had everything you'd want for a little getaway. The spot felt secluded while only 5 minutes away from a supermarket. [Okay, you could hear Rte 8 traffic a bit, but it served as calming white noise!] I'd definitely return again...
