The River House

AndyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We stayed 3 nights at the house in Natchez as part of our tour round Louisiana and Mississippi and loved it. Quiet street location with views over the Mississippi from the front terrace and lovely deck a the back for the afternoon sun. Great facilities including handy washer. Easy 10 minute stroll into town along the bluff or streets behind with their historic houses. Live at Five on Friday was great with a band playing that we watched from the terrace outside Bowie’s Rabbit Hole. Live Music on Saturday and Sunday in Smoots and Under the Hill Saloon we’re really fun. Good foot at Fat Mamas Tamales, Pearl Street Pasta and Magnolia Grill. Great place to visit and great location to stay. Even squeezed in a round of golf at Natchez Golf Club about 10 min drive away. Nice course and great price at $14!

We have stayed here a few times now and it is always nice. It has lots of beds and TVs and plenty of room to stretch out. The neighborhood is quiet and its it close to downtown. Looking forward to staying here again the next time we come to Natchez.

NEW! Dixon Loft - stunning space w/balcony on Main

JudithRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Pictures were very nice, but this place is much more impressive in person! We loved all the spaciousness. And the balcony was our favorite place to sit and visit. Location was also great! We did all our shopping and eating within walking distance. Even the river was within walking distance. Plush linens and top of the line appliances were very much appreciated. Our group of seven older ladies were very impressed! We have been doing a yearly gathering for many years and have to say that this place is at the top of our list of places we have stayed. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful loft!

We really enjoyed our stay. Great space, clean, and wonderful location. The river views were great, and the street had no thru traffic so felt very peaceful. The house had everything we needed, and we would definitely stay again!

Above The Law

SheilaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
LOVED this place. Would LOVE to spend a month here, soaking up the apartment’s yesteryear atmosphere and exploring Natchez. Above the Law has heart and soul, as well as quirk, that special quality that is hard to define but sets a place apart. Richard’s description is accurate. OMG, LOVE the kitchen! As Richard describes it, there is everything you need to create full meals, including tableware, but there are so many wonderful restaurants to try. And the porches and courtyard — pure therapy. There is so much space, and it is clean and bright, filled with antiques, and very comfortable. ATL is a step back in time. It is not shiny and new, but homey, well-loved, and well-cared for. Another trip will be necessary to explore more of Natchez because I spent way too much time simply soaking up ATL’s wonderful atmosphere.
