Briarwood Cabin in Hazen

AmberRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A bit out of the way is where you stay and back beyond the gate. A quaint cabin full of glass more windows could open but that will pass. The beauty and space will surprise the eyes. It fills your mind with the beautiful scenery and is well worth the wait. Pass the porch with the picnic table and see all of the nests of the birds before. Look up to see a few more in nooks and crannies; even above the door. The Cardinal will remind you of your neighbors and will greet you upon the lights first rays. That won't be soon. You have your day of play on the rocks and the fire will set your night ablaze. Inside this home cozy and warm sometimes too warm because of the gas wood burning stove. All is provided for and shared between owner and guest of past each need thought of like a claim comfy in a cove. The wood for your fire, the butter for your toast. The coffee the tea the water you need most. The space for your dog and child to play, a couch and TV for when that fades away. Yours fortoday

Comfort and Convenience

LRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Judy was a fabulous host! So friendly, quick to respond, and provided clear instructions. She made us feel right at home. The place had everything we needed. Judy made it clear that we could reach out if we had questions or needed anything, but we never had to reach out because we were already adequately set up with what she provided. I really appreciated the supplied compostable garbage bags in the bathrooms. Conveniently located next to a bus stop, with a bus travel guide provided on the game/book cabinet for guests’ reference. We really love this place; point forward, it will be our go-to for our PA visits near Ebensburg. Thanks so much, Judy!

Falcon Crest- 5 Acre Homestead

PaulaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This place was magical. The home is so private and peaceful. We saw deer off the back porch more than a few times. Bruce & Cora were wonderful hosts. The house was stocked with eggs, cereal, coffee, juice etc. What a nice touch...especially when it snowed and we decided not to go into town for food one night. Bruce even used his personal plow to scrape the driveway so we wouldn't have any problems with the snow or ice. Highly recommend this home. This is a great place to stay for the Groundhog Festival. Close enough to all the fun but far enought away from all the crowds.

Cozy Owl Cabin ~ minutes from Roost & Chetremon

AhmadRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a very relaxing time at Aaron's cabin. It was a great getaway to meet up with friends between Philadelphia and Cleveland, and the kind of place where you enjoy staying at the place itself. The photos show the inside of the cabin accurately. There is a bonfire with chairs in the middle of a large rolling grass lawn, where we thoroughly enjoyed evening chats while our daughter ran and rolled in the grass. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you could need, including board games and a jigsaw puzzle. Instructions are very clear, and their neighborhood suggestions are useful. They were very understanding when our 3-year-old had a nighttime accident, and they were also quick to respond. The surroundings are farmlands and small towns. A small country store is 6 minutes away for essentials, so we stocked up the first morning and enjoyed breakfast at home with the great coffee. We could recommend this place for everyone looking for a relaxing time, and near hiking trails.

Craftsman Diamond in the Rough

We loved our stay at Jenica’s beautiful Craftsman home. It is a very warm, inviting, spacious environment. If you are looking for a quiet, serene, peaceful place to stay, you can’t do much better than this. I would encourage anyone vacationing in the Punxsutawney area to skip the hotels and stay at this nice oasis of tranquility instead. It has everything you need in terms of amenities for a fantastic weekend stay. The place was clean, inviting, and free of distractions. We were close by for all the festivities of Groundhog Day. I appreciated the local info provided by our host as well. Hope to be back someday!
