Vacation rentals with breakfast in City of Wodonga

Thank you (and Daphne and Violet) for hosting us at Planetrees. What a lush oasis you have. We planned our annual family weekend away around staying in this gorgeous property. We thoroughly enjoyed roaming the stunning gardens, sitting outdoors and cosying up in front of the fire at night. We loved visits from the Dachshunds, and all the space to wander. The linens and towels felt luxurious, as did the beautiful soaps and washes in the bathrooms. Genevieve was a responsive and friendly host. Unfortunately our son fell ill and we had to leave the rest of our family at Planetrees after one night, but we hope to come back soon! Thank you 💛

This lovely cottage is superior accommodation and very comfortable. Jo and Howie are great hosts. They were very respectful of our privacy but were there if we needed them. We very much enjoyed everything about Berrimbillah Cottage: the peaceful bush surroundings with lovely birdlife, the amazing night skies, proximity to Beechworth, which is a charming town and the lovely drives through the countryside exploring other areas of this beautiful part of Victoria. We especially valued the fact that our dog was just as welcome as us. We stayed for more than a week but longed for more. A piece of heaven on earth! Great way to relax and unwind from the pressures of city living.

We had the perfect weekend. The weather certainly helped but it was perfected by our stay at Mt Ophir Gatehouse. A wonderful, homely property close to Rutherglen in a peaceful location. The only sounds were the myriad of small birds and the local cows. Communication was excellent with the host Amy. We had some homemade granola and some basic supplies on arrival. The property was spacious, stylish and suited our group of 3 couples with well proportioned bedrooms, two with ensuites. Would love to come back with some girlfriends!

We had a wonderful stay at Chris’s place! The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained — everything was well-organized and thoughtfully prepared. Chris’s hospitality was outstanding; he made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay. The location is super convenient too, just a few kilometers from the highway, making it an ideal stopover when traveling between Sydney and Melbourne. Highly recommend staying here if you’re passing through or even for a longer visit!

The house was great, very spacious and well laid out. Arran was great in resolving one item which was not there and took all steps to get it sorted asap. The area is great.

Cammi was delightful to deal with, she was very responsive and helpful. The home was beautiful, just like the photos. It look clean and the bathrooms were perfect. We would absolutely recommend and stay again.

Ericka has a lovely home in a great quiet position. Best of all is Ericka with her gentle, kind personality! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ericka’s place and hope to see her again!

This was a great place to stay in Rutherglen and Gabrielle is a 5 star host. The only negative we had was out of Gabrielle's control. If you are taking your dog (as we did) please be aware that there are 4 large dogs (at least) in the back neighbours back yard who are very watchful of the backyard at Pomegranate House. Our dog was unable to stay in the backyard due to the nature of the dogs at the back who were able to stand up on the back fence and voice their opinions of our dog as soon as he was out there. Our dog is also large but very timid so the front yard was a great alternative for him and secure when the driveway gate was shut. (Small dogs would be able to escape under that gate). We took him with us everywhere we went and found the wineries and local shops were very pet friendly. Overall a really happy and relaxing stay with our thanks to Pomegranate House

Muskaan was kind and helpful and was responsive to address issues we face with respect to hot water.. great place to stop over on our way to Melbourne.. close to a fuel station and restaurant.

We really enjoyed our stay here over the weekend. Great location for exploring the nearby townships including Beechworth and Yackandandah. We had everything that we needed at the place and it was just the right size. Would love to visit this part of Victoria again and this is a great location for exploring the surroundings.

A great piece of history (with modern conveniences) in a pretty, very peaceful historical town. Mervyn And Tracey provide an opportunity to experience time in a living museum...a very clean, comfortable and stunning museum! Everything has been thought of, all the extras provided go above and beyond. The home and surrounds provide the most peaceful experience. Bushland, breweries and wineries surround the area. The weather was fantastic during our stay making getting out to visit the aforementioned attractions a great experience, topped of with a cooling swim in the pools at Woolshed Falls. A great part of the country if you are looking for a very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing experience in a beautiful rural setting.

Margaret’s place is truly one of a kind! Such incredible attention to detail throughout the property and the room with beautiful 360 views. A peaceful oasis only 10 minutes from the city.

Staying at Amberesque is more than just finding a place to sleep; it's an experience in its own right. Amber curates a bespoke stay, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel truly valued while making their time in Rutherglen unique and memorable. From the thoughtful welcome cheese platter and beverage on arrival to tailored breakfasts and personalised recommendations for local gems, every detail is designed with care. I especially loved the winery suggestions and bike ride on the towns purpose built bike trails through the surroundings & vineyards. The small touches, like bath suds from local suppliers, and the history of the accom being the old bank just add to the charm. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the ambiance, listening to vinyl records, and savoring a glass of red in the evenings—it was pure bliss. I can't recommend Rutherglen enough as a weekend getaway destination, with Amberesque as the perfect base to make your getaway that little bit more special.

Deano was a character and not what you would expect (tattooed older guy in singlet and thongs) but was really helpful and friendly. lovely location on the hill next to the old asylum. room was large and spacious.

We had such a great stay at Teresa and Peter’s place! The house was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Teresa and Peter were really friendly and welcoming, and their dog Benji was absolutely adorable — full of energy and so much fun to be around. It just added so much life to the place! The garden was beautiful too, such a peaceful spot to sit and relax. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe, with birds and kangaroos and everything about the stay just felt easy and comfortable. Thanks again for making us feel so at home!
